She thought her vampire mate was dead, but the truth may destroy them both.
Mya's life has been intertwined with Erik's for centuries. First as her savior, then as her guardian, and finally as her forbidden yet undeniable lover. Mya believed nothing could ever tear them apart—until vicious betrayal left Erik dead.
Mya has mourned him for three hundred years, stuck in her anguish and grief, until she learned the truth.
Erik never died. He’s been imprisoned by their enemies. They’ve tortured, experimented on, and cursed him, until he lost everything, even himself.
Mya won't rest until she saves him, but she's not the only one searching for Erik. The hunt is on, and if she doesn't get there first, he may die for real.

Night Fall is a dark, forbidden, vampire paranormal romance featuring a strong heroine and her protective, possessive, fated mate. If you’re looking for found family, who did this to you, touch her/him and you die vibes, and love the color morally gray this book is for you!
This is a steamy romance book meant for adults. Please read the Authors Note or visit my website for Content Warnings.
Melissa had a difficult time speaking as a child, and thus writing became her best friend. There she learned the power of emotion, how to communicate heartbreak, sadness, tragedy, and still hope for something better: the happy ever after.
She loves to write imperfect, possessive heroes, that will risk their lives for those they love, strong heroines that can hold their own, and steamy scenes that grab you by the throat and bring you to your knees.
Melissa lives in a small town off the coast of Egypt, and is a huge mythology buff, with a love of all things magical, supernatural, paranormal, and steeped in lore and fantasy. When she is not writing Melissa can be found singing and dancing her heart out, or up, late at night, contemplating space and the universe with a large cup of tea.

Lost loves reuniting? YES. Erik and Mya’s story had me so pulled in. Mystery and suspense throughout and it was amazing to read. I received this ARC for an honest review.
Night Fall was probably my favorite book of the Vampire Wars trilogy. I really liked reading about Mya and Erik's history over the centuries.
While the Vampire Wars is part of a bigger series, the Otherworld Chronicles, everything was all tied up with a nice bow at the end. It seems like each trilogy will stand on its own. I'm anxious to see what's next.
ARC Review of Night Fall by Melissa Cummins * * * * * The third instalment of this series has got to be my favourite so far as a lost love reunites, and I am a sucker for it - pun intended.
Mya lost the man she loved long ago. Erik was the guardian of her brother, cousin and herself during their transformation. He was their protector. He was her love. They knew people would frown upon their love for one another, but their desires did not care. Opening up old wounds and revealing Erik's dark past as to why he keeps his distance from Mya, and how he wants to wait, we are thrown more in depth to his character. Then, everything changes. A nasty hoard of blood witches tear them apart, burns all they love to the ground, and Mya sets out for bloodthirsty revenge...only to be left along in her own sadness when it does not bring her love back to her. Centuries later, she is told Erik is alive. Finding him may not be as hard, but he has also had his memories removed. Can his lack of memory but the undenied connection he has towards Mya be what is enough for them both to hold on as chaos still follows them?
I never thought Erik's past could be so dark or that Mya could be so open to him. With everything against them and complications to their mating, it's so sad to see Mya break down. Happy ending though! Yay! Not to forget very steamy!
I loved Mya’s and Erik’s story. I loved that we were able to find out more about their past and their beginnings. How Erik changed Mya’s, Gregori’s, and Lucas’ lives for the better.
I loved seeing them having to move so it wouldn’t cause suspicion with the town folks. I loved that Mya became a badass and learned to stand up for herself.
After finding out what kept Erik away all these years- was heartbreaking. Especially because he was soooo close.
Melissa knows how to draw in readers. And this story is probably my favorite of the series so far. I am excited to see where she goes in the next one.
I am so in love with Mya’s and Erik’s story. I loved subterfuge , mystery , drama and why Erik was kept away 😭😭 I don’t do spoilers so you’ll have to read your self to see how amazing it is, how Melissa writes so brilliantly and I can’t wait for more from her wonderful imagination

Erik and Mya's story was an incredible journey fraught with love, loss and pain. It was an incredible story and I absolutely loved it! Cannot wait for more from Melissa! I received an ARC and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I have to say I love the author's notes at the beginning of the book the outline of what all this book entrails is fantastic and a warning. The playlist is impressive as well.
Finally, we begin with the prologue. Mya restates the history of when she was at death's door and met Eric for the first time. This historical event brought us to the start of the book in the 14th century. Mya and Eric have a complicated relationship initially, even for being undead. Their first interactions that seem forbidden are very sensual and very possessive.
This story has much history, with an expanded perspective on their relationship and crucial moments. Some steamy scenes are well described to capture the character's feelings and expressions. We get the possessive Alpha Male.
The story jumps again to the 18th century. I find their extra abilities intriguing. This story gets dark and twisted as their life in the new world isn't exactly as planned. Mya has matured in the story as we watch her go from a teenager to a young woman to adulthood in her vampirism.
I've fallen so far into this tale that I forgot this twist was coming. Yes, the story she weaved managed to surprise me. After this shocking twist, we do finally get to the present day. Myas' story is profound and very well written. There is so much description and time in this book that is covered.
The steamy scenes start sizzling as Mya encounters another dose of reckless behavior. I want to know where this goes because I expected something else. Wow, the end of this book reminds me of a honeymoon, but I do like that I finally felt the joy in this story. The ending was fabulous, and this is Melissa Cummins's best book. The writing was on point, and the story inside has a depth to it not typically found in paranormal romance. I enjoyed this book and appreciated the author's warning at the story's beginning.
Spoiler-ish comments ahead…… proceed at your own risk… . . . . . . I always enjoy a good vampire story and I really liked this! It was a very quick read for me; I got so pulled into the story that I didn’t realize how close to finishing I was. The spicy scenes between Erik and Mya were great! I would like to know more about Luke’s story and how he came to join up with Erik, but for all I know that could have been in one of the previous 2 books in this series. I enjoyed the fight scenes and the characters’ attempts / brainstorm/ thinking out loud on the fly during the big showdown to work around the blood magic being used on Erik.
All in all, I recommend this book for any fans of vampire stories, age gap romance, or fairly spicy scenes (it takes a while to get there, though, so be warned)

I admit shedding a tear or two in Mya and Erik's story. Exceptional writing pulling you into the long history together since Erik saved and turned them, his disappearance and Mya's devastation, thinking he committed suicide. Greg's determination to keep her sane and the family together. Though a page turner, I tried delaying finishing my emotional ride. Excellent read. This story was by far my favorite of the three books in the "Chronicles of The Otherworld" series.
What I have loved about this series in general is that each couple's story (separated by each book) is unique in both origin, development, and substance. Mya and Erik's story was a beautiful love story that grew and strengthened over the centuries in a natural, slow burn, utterly adorable and enviable way. This story was based heavily on relationship development, personal growth, and finding oneself within another person.
We finally get to see the backstory for Mya and it is full of growth, love, hardship, determination, and good. Seeing Mya grow and develop throughout this story fully paints the picture for her, as well as glimpses into Greg and Luke as well (I knew we would get backstory eventually).
While this story focused WAY more on Mya and Erik's past, there was progression of the overall war/present day as well.

I have to say I love the author's notes at the beginning of the book the outline of what all this book entrails is fantastic and a warning. The playlist is impressive as well. Night Fall was so good. We finally get a backstory to Greg, Lucas, and Mya. So many questions are answered in this book. This was a great third entry in the Chronicles of The Otherworld series, it had what I was expecting from this series. Melissa knows how to draw in readers. And this story is probably my favorite of the series so far. I am excited to see where she goes in the next one.
NIGHT FALL is the third and final book in the Chronicles of The Otherworld - The Vampire Wars. This time it's Mya's turn. We've been hearing about her and Erik since Dani and Greg's book, so it was good to finally get the backstory.
We're talking fast pace but slow burn to the extreme here! Their slow burn lasted centuries! Of course, that means it's also hot as anything once they finally get together. It felt as though most of the book was about the past, setting it up for the current situation. While I enjoyed hearing about what had happened, not only to Mya, but to Greg and Luke too, I would have enjoyed a little more in the present. That part seemed to fly by.
A great ending to the trilogy, but I hope we see these characters again in future books. A great read I can definitely recommend. ** same worded review will appear elsewhere **

Book 3 was definitely different to the rest and altho I did enjoy it, I feel like the ending was rushed.
60% was the past and 40% was the present day. If it was the other way round I think it would be better and have more time for the ending.
"To those who like their men commanding, morally gray, and willing to kill and burn the bodies of anyone who would even dare breathe the same air as them. And to the women who are just as violent and unpredictable. Stay stabby my friends."
The dedication was just perfect 🥰 I do really enjoy the Vampire War series and was delighted there will be a book 4.

(I read these in omnibus format)
I was really hopeful for these books from the blurbs but I’ve got to say, it was very disappointing. These books were fast. Too fast. You’re thrown in in book one, right to the deep end, relationships are immediate, and the world building is not. This was confusing, but I continued because I could see some promise in the plot the author has. But this was a theme in all three and I do think it was because of the “fated mate” trope more than anything else. A fated mate I can typically get behind. Not insta love though, and with the speed and place the books started it was more insta love than fated mate. Give this a go though, because the smut is gold I’ve gotta say, and if you need something quick to read and try and enjoy this could definitely be your cup of tea. The characters were all investment worthy/interesting, but I do think Mya and Erik were the ones I found most lovable.
What a great ending and final adventure in this series of books. Although the books can be read as standalone stories as each books focuses and explores the story of a different couple, this time the best may have been kept to last as Mya and Erik's story unfolds.
For me the books created a strong connection with the characters as took the roller coaster ride with them, laughed, cried and wow what great sex scenes. Two strong vulnerable and endearing characters that discovering their back stories make their current persona's understandable and fascinating. Although set in a magical fantasy world that does not detract from the page turner of an adventure filled with passion, romance, heartbreak, challenges, desire and great well written characters.
I feel these stories I will return to re-read as enjoyed so much and loved reading the characters in all the books and seeing how it all comes together.

Everything that the first two books were lacking, it was here. The plot development, the mystery and obviously spicy scenes.
I was so engaged that I read this book in just two sittings. I really enjoyed reading the fight scenes here. Moreover, in my opinion, Mya & Eriks's chemistry was the best among the three. It could be felt so perfectly. Also, even though this book focused on Mya and Erik's relationship, the plot and the war wasn't forgotten. I got answers to many of my questions in this book since I started the series. I, for once, got to know about the backstory that we never got in the last two books except in some glimpses in the first one.
Overall, this was a great way to end the series and I recommend this book to those who love vampire stories, fated mates, lost loves reuniting and obviously a little spice with all those.

Night Fall by Melissa Cummins is book three in The Chronicles of The Otherworld Series. It’s a vampire fated mates romance. I’ve been reading this series since book one and each one just keeps getting better and better. I love the way Melissa Cummins weaves the story, everything is described in a way that makes it easy to picture what you’re reading. I read this book cover to cover not putting my kindle down once. I’m a huge fan of vampire romances and this just blew my expectations out of the water. I really liked the couple a lot in this book, Mya and Erik. I really enjoyed the spice, it was top tier. I liked the suspense that the book has and the quick thinking of the characters at times. I highly recommend this series because the worldbuilding is fantastic and it’s just an overall great read.
I though Johanna and Luke's story would have been my favorite. I did not expect the roller coaster ride and heartbreak that Myas story brought me 😭😭 tears absolute tears running down my face while reading what Erik suffered, what Mya suffered, and their combined heartbreak. What the Witches did what the council tried, evil pure evil!!! To see Mya not only step into her own but reap vengeance on those who would hurt the one she loved, was beautiful! Erik, love always finds a way. I'm so incredibly glad that he and Mya found the way back to each other. This book was perfection. Just perfection. There wasn't a thing I hated or wished was better. The ending was happy. Everything wrapped up the way it should have been.
This is book three in a series but each book can be read as a stand alone.
This book follows Maya and her mate Erik. It follows them through her youth when he was just her guardian and protector. It goes through them losing each other after acknowledging they were mates. Blood witches steal them from each other for centuries. In present time they finally find each other again. Does all the truth come out at last? Does their love blossom? Do they survive what the past has thrown at them?
Another amazing book by Melissa Cummins. I have truly enjoyed this series. Melissa created a world with these books that I truly enjoyed. The world, the characters, the flow and the pace were all well done. I can't wait to see what comes next from this author.
✨ARC Review ✨ *** Thank you to Melissa Cummins and Give Me Books Promotions for the ARC to review. *** Night Fall was so good. We finally get a backstory to Greg, Lucas, and Mya. So many questions are answered in this book. We also get to know Mya more. I enjoyed getting to know her and being able to understand her more. Erik and Mya's chemistry was off the charts and their love was so sweet. The beginning was a bit slow and with more tension but the ending quickly picked up and became so much spicer. *** ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ***
Night Fall is a tale that winds its way through the heart and the centuries as this third book of dark Vampiric action-adventure, family, intrigue and suspense delivers a well written otherworldly Paranormal Romance with leads Mya and Erik leading the way in a passionate, captivating, emotionally charged narrative. I have enjoyed all the books of this series but this one was a really edgy feast for the senses!.

Mystery, suspense and romance at it best! Night Fall is by far my favorite book of the Chronicles of the Underworld series! It still is odd that vampires have fated mates, but in this story I didn’t mind at all! It was so so good! The different timelines, the mystery, the desire between Mya and Erik, the drama, the romance, the traumas. The ending was something I couldn’t predict and was such a good way to end this series! 5⭐️ (ARC-review)

I really liked this book! I really liked reading the love story of Erik and Mya. Seeing them being reunited was such a good part. Their journey was full of so many emotions and it made me love it more. The writing was really good, the story was interesting and the characters were unique. I really recommend this book and cannot wait to read more from this author.
this was a great third entry in the Chronicles of The Otherworld series, it had what I was expecting from this series. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this journey and thought it improved on the previous entries. The characters worked overall and I'm glad I got to know them.

This book was a pretty decent conclusion to the trilogy. I have to say, I thought Erik (from the beginning of the book) was becoming my favorite out of all the men, but by the end I still think it's Greg. Erik was the reason this family came to be and what happened to him would suck. But I'm happy to see him and Mya got a HEA.

This was a great conclusion to the Otherworld Trilogy. I love Mya & Erik's story. This is a quick, fast-paced paranormal story. It's a slow burn, but when it burns, it's burns. all the books were great, and this one wrapped it all up nicely.
