Cian O’Sheeran was the second oldest O’Sheeran child. His family was the largest Irish mob family in the US. Well, technically, to the world, they were former mobsters gone straight. The world might speculate and say they still were mobsters, but no one outside the family and their closest people knew the truth. Afterall, it was hard to remove all traces of a hunter from their bloodline. With Cian’s cousin marrying, it only makes him ache to find someone special who he can love and start his own little family with. Despite what a lot of the uber rich do, which is arranging marriages for power and blood ties, he will only settle for a true love match. In his family, nothing less would be acceptable. Only when he meets his, he’s shocked to find she’s been around for years and he never knew it. She also happens to be the daughter of one of the men in the world who would love nothing more than to put him and his whole family in prison for the rest of their lives. Miranda is an ordinary woman living what she considers a boring life. It’s not what she wants. She hungers to find a new job and true happiness. She loves her overprotective father, but she’s an adult and it’s her life to live. When she meets one of the infamous O’Sheeran’s, she knows what the rumors say about him and his family. Her father has voiced his opinion many times. Only she can’t seem to resist. Cian isn’t the only man who wants her. As he works to court her and convince her that he wants more than a fling, he has to worry not only about her father’s hate, but that there are two men who want her for themselves, and they might be willing to do just about anything to have her. So it was time for this O’Sheeran to bring out all the stops to win his soulmate. He’ll fight anyone and everyone to do it. The only ones he doesn’t need to fight is his family. They know when one of their own has found their happily ever after. All he has to do is resolve Cian’s Complication.
An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.
I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!
My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.
I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.
Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
Cian O'Sheeran is wondering if he will meet the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with now that his cousin has found his one. He is pleasantly surprised when he meets Melinda at the bank he uses and asks her out.
Melinda knows who Cian is and she knows they would be doomed to fail. Melinda's father is the police chief and he believes that the O'Sheeran's are a mobsters who do criminal acts. t one time they did but they have gone legal, it's not to say they don't get their hands dirty, they do if the moment arises. Melinda decides to give Cian a chance and he grabs it, now he needs to convince her that he can win over her dad. The only problem is she has two other suitors who do not want to take no for an answer.
Another entertaining story from this author. I liked that this was a bit of a slow burn and Cian truly has Melinda's feelings at the for front of everything he does. Cannot wait for the next book.
I liked this one, yet it drove me nuts at times how much of a Mary Sue Miranda was. She was definitely a prude where sex was concerned, which seemed odd to me. I did like that Cian went slowly with things, he made the effort to get to know her, barely even kissing her at the start. I loved how the O’Sheeran clan welcomed Miranda, she needed people like that at her back, her own father sure wasn't someone she could depend on.
I thought it crazy how many men were obsessed with Miranda and not in a good way, in a way that was over the top. I was glad that Miranda had Cian and his family to help her there.
Overall this one wasn't bad, even as Miranda drove me nuts at times.
Really enjoyed it but there’s a lot of things missing. I still don’t know what Cian actually does for work.
While I really enjoyed it, there are a lot of mistakes and things that don’t make any sense. Cian is supposedly running the family’s jewellery business, but he never does any work! Apart from going to a meeting in Italy, he never does anything. The one thing I love about this series is the soulmate plot and how the family know straight away when they’ve found their one and only. In Darragh and Ashley’s book he takes one look at her and knows she’s his. So why does it take Cian so long to decide that Miranda is his soulmate? They go out out on dates and he still hasn’t decided about her. It’s a bit frustrating to be honest.
Miranda is the chief of police’s daughter. The chief of police who hates the O’Sheeran family. Miranda at first I wasn’t keen on her. She’s too weak and insipid. She’s not ultra close to her dad (They only see each once a week.) yet she works in his friends bank in a job that she hates, and never does anything to change her life. She never dated as she had a horrible experience in college. She doesn’t have any real friends and it’s hard to like her. I did warm up to her after a while but I still wasn’t keen. She’s too weak to make her own mind up about Cian and won’t date him at first as she’s going on her dads opinion. Yet again. 🙄
Eventually they start dating but Miranda somehow has two men that are desperate to have her. 🤔 Yeah I’m not sure about that. There are some bumps along the way in their relationship as Miranda has a lot of hang ups about relationships.
Then there’s Miranda’s dad. He has a health issue that I’m sorry really wasn’t well written about. He has no signs at all of it, and he would have had symptoms
While I did enjoy it I still preferred the first book.
I'm seriously loving Cian and Miranda's story! Cian, the O'Sheeran family's second oldest, has been pondering the whole true love thing, especially after his cousin Darragh found the one. Then, he meets a gorgeous blonde bank teller and it's game over. He's hooked, she's interested, but her dad is not an O'Sheeran fan. And, of course, two obsessed psycho's are vying for her attention. Ciara has spun a tale of these two lovebirds from different worlds finding their way. It's a total blast, featuring family hijinks, wild dangers, and some major chemistry. The heat is building, but the story is on fire. I adored watching Cian and Miranda's romance unfold and their affection grow. I'm head over heels for Cian, just like Miranda. This is a wickedly sweet and spicy story that's a must-read.
This a very good love story. He had any woman he wanted, but he's wand Miranda. He was willing to wait as long as it took to convince her she was a ordinary man who happened to come from a extremely close and rich family. Most of Miranda life, she did what her father expected her to do. But when she had a stalker and her father blamed her for the stalking and on top of that, one of his employee believed her father wanted him and her to married. She started to live the life she wanted. The story dragged on, but it kept me going reading. I did like his family gone legit, but would do anything to protect the family.
What better woman for a Mafia man to fall in love with than a cop’s daughter. Cain has. His work cut out for him with Miranda who has to get past what she has read and heard about Mafia Families and accept Cain is not all what she thinks. Cain is great at being patient and working through her issues. One thing about an O’Sheeran is the three won’t back down when it comes to finding their true love and they will fight to prove they are the good guys. Another great story and I a m really looking forward to more from this series.
I really looked forward to reading about Down wooing the Police Chief's daughter. That was a unlikely relationship, but Cian's charm, and looks helped out. Miranda went from being considered a boring, goody goody nerd, to a passionate fiery and confident woman. Her Fathers hatred of Cian's and his family was a major barrier to their being together, and later finding out the reasons he lashed out at her explains so much. A great story all around. I really loved the HEA ending. Trish. A
I usually have mixed reviews on Ciara St James books. I usually like them ok but never really love them. This one pulled me in on page 1. I love that Miranda seemed like such an everyday woman being a bank teller and all. I thought that their meeting and love story seemed believable and even liked how Dad's illness came into play. Enjoyed the read and might just have to go back and read some of the backlog I have bypassed till now.
I have enjoyed reading this series of the O'Sheerans & Ciara St James definitely knows how to pull me in yet again with another Alpha male & his kick a$$ soulmate! Along with lots of twists & turns that will keep you wanting more that's for sure.
Cian & Miranda's story came with a lot of craziness, hot steamy scenes & of course left me wanting to read more about this family.
Man do I love books written by Ciara St. James! This book is no exception. I adored Cian and Miranda as a couple. They are sexy and very romantic. For Cian this an insta-love situation but Miranda isn't far behind him. I love the fact that entire O'Sheeran family shows up as main characters in the books. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Cian and Miranda have a love that anyone would want. Finding your soulmate is what everyone wishes for. Unsure of herself and why a man like him would want her she decides to explore the relationship and finds they are perfect for each other. Challenges and craziness pop up and try to ruin what they have but in the end love prevails.
The second book in the Covenant of Ascent series is pretty good. The dialogue gets a little bound up and stilted in places, but not horrible. The female lead in this book was a little more aggressive and I like that. The male lead characters in these books tend to do the Insta love thing, while their women take a little longer.
Miranda and Cian have an immediate reaction to one another and Cian is determined to win her over. Miranda has two very unstable stalkers and her Dad hates the O'Sheerans. There is a bit of a roller coaster ride. There are some steamy scenes. The epilogue had a sad moment in it with shocking news.
Excellent plot supported by several family members. I loved both main characters and how their stories melded together so seamlessly. Could not put this down! This may be my favorite book from this author. Thank you for a wonderful reading experience.
I loved Cian’s book, there is so much going on that it keeps you turning page after page. I love that there is humour and plenty of heat but with a great story. I can’t wait to read more xx
Love the characters. Only thing is I wished you’d write more in present tense instead of the “Ed” sometimes it’s hard to follow if it’s happening right now other than that love all your books
Really enjoy reading Ciara's book , love the Covenant of Ascent: O'Sheerans Sieres , I can't wait for book 3 to come out . You will enjoy getting to know the Family ,you won't be disappointed
All these men fighting over Miranda and she only has eyes for Cian. I knew something had to be wrong with her father with the way he was behaving. I really, really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one.
Cian fell almost instantly in love with Miranda. He chased her and wanted to constantly be around her. Miranda was leary of Cian because he was wealthy and very handsome. Love and good people won her over.
Ciara is always consistently great! I love the O'Sheeran family. Ciaran and Miranda is story is beautiful and exciting. Not to mention hot and steamy. Can't wait for the next installment.
This story was so exciting, entertaining and just WOW!!!. I love, love a great romance book and this is definitely one!!!. Ciara is a PHENOMENAL storyteller and writer☺️🤗. In
This was an intense, complex, and suspenseful story with surprising twists that will keep you guessing until the end. It's a great addition to the series. I would recommend this book, series, and author.
Once again I am falling for another family. Hot smoking love these 2 characters. Enjoying the humor side of things also. Really looking forward to what is next
