When Nik Nichols (aka Neutrinoman) and Licia Lopez (aka Lightningirl) first touch, electrons and neutrinos fly. But a relationship is the furthest thing from their minds. They've got to figure out their new superpowers, keep their identities secret, and deal with the demands of the military. Not to mention that huge asteroid hurtling towards the Earth.
Life can be complicated, but a superhero's life can be even more complicated. Can they save the world and fall in love too?
The first part in a series, Meteor Attack!, documents the meeting and first adventures of Neutrinoman and Lightningirl, as told by Nik Nichols himself.
Praise for the Series
“Perfect balance between sci-fi, humor, and romance.”
“Loved it, loved it, loved it. I’m a major sucker, though, for a good love story. You had me emotionally involved from the get-go.”
“Beautiful love story draped in outrageous humor. Romantic comedy at its best.”

Take this review with a grain of salt. Clearly, I am the only one who didn't think much of this book. I loved the premise, and think overall the book is a good outline for a good novel but as is, it's not.
I really wanted to like this book. But it suffers from several problems. What is written is, at least, well written. The dialogue is decent and the prose are good. But this is not enough to carry the story.
The authors tells us so much about how much they love each other but doesn't show us. Our two heroes are the most well adjusted super heroes ever. They seemingly have no problems or difficulties in their lives or their adjustments to being super heroes. Unfortunately, the characters are flat and two dimensional at best. There is no action to the piece, it is mostly a series of described dates between the two characters. There will be quick references in between dates to everything else that is going on, but this is done in a paragraph or so and then we are on to the next date.
Honestly, I couldn't care anything for the characters, couldn't understand why they loved each other, and frankly didn't care. I could see how much fun the author was having with this novel in writing it, but I did not share any of the fun.
I would love for the author to rewrite the novel, making it about 400 pages and giving us every detail along the way to this romance. The idea for the novel is sound.
I won this novel in a Goodreads Book Giveaway Contest.
Nik Nichols (Neutrinoman) & Licia Lopez (Lightningirl) met when their meddling parents decided to matchmake. Nik's parents invited Licia's family for supper. When Nik and Licia touched, sparks flew, literally. Both were interested, but wary, neither knowing about the others alternate identity. Nik asks Licia out on a date and she accepts, but their plans are put on hold when an emergency pops up. He receives aid from Lightningirl but doesn't know her real identity. They save their home, only to find there is a bigger threat looming over them. They fight together to save the world while falling for one another. This is the first part of a series and is told in the perspective of Nik.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more of this series! I highly recommend this book!
I got this in a goodreads giveaway, I exchange for an honest review;
