I love the movie that this book is based on. I bought the novelization about three weeks ago and let it torture me that I couldn't read it until I saw the movie. Last night, I saw the movie, and it was epic! And then I read the book, which was slightly less epic, but still awesome.

--- Rise of the Guardians ~ Movie Novelization ---
🎲 Penokohan: 🔨🔨✨✨🌟💖
📕 Plot: ✨🌟🔥🔨💖✨💖

Saya ini... dulu suka sekali beberapa film-film Dreamworks ♪
Tiga teratas misalnya... Megamind, Rise of the Guardians, How to Train Your Dragon...

(((Terutama Jack Frost! Kyaaa!))) //Woi.
Ahem.

Rise of the Guardians seperti sebuah dongeng.

💖✨( ꈍᴗꈍ)(*´ω`*) YOHOHOHOO!

*GUS kemudian pingsan karena ketampanan Jack Frost*
*Sudah berapa kali ketampanan ini di sebutkan?*
*Intinya dia tampan. Titik!*
*Gus pingsan lagi*

We've reached that stage at which I proof read books before I read them to my daughter. Not just to check for appropriateness but also so that I have the Answer to all the questions that crop up. We recently started reading Harry Potter but have decided to put that aside for a year or two until she can deal better with the complexities of the story, I should state at this point that my daughter has only just turned 4 and having watched a few of the films she has started confusing characters and getting her time line a little mixed up. Rise of the guardians has so far been a good compromise, we discuss the story between reading sessions and so far we're following it quite well. It's nice and direct with a one track storyline, also, being about Santa, the Easter bunny and other such wonderful beings its surprisingly relivent to where Lotte's mind is at the moment

Based on the William Joyce book series Guardians of Childhood , Rise of the Guardians was a very pleasant surprise when we took the kids to go see it a few months ago. I was not expecting much and came away very impressed with a complex story with plenty for adults to think about but light enough for kids to be entertained. It also has a balance of scary and funny and avoids the all too easy bodily function-type jokes.

The premise of the story is that the Guardians are defending the children of the world against an onslaught by the Boogeyman, who goes by the name Pitch Black. Pitch Black revels in causing fear and nightmares and destroying the best aspects of childhood. The Guardians are the Sandman (Guardian of Dreams), the Easter Bunny (Guardian of Hope), Santa Claus (Guardian of Wonder) and the Tooth Fairy (Guardian of Precious Memories). They have been called together by The Man in the Moon. The Man in the Moon has also called Jack Frost to be a Guardian but no one, including Jack, can figure out why. The story is the story of Jack Frost and how he figures out his own past and how he can help The Guardians, if he even wants to help them, that is...

“Rise of the Guardians”

«Dovrebbe? Non è così?»
«No.

This novelization was cute. It's for a younger age group than I often find myself reading, so the simplicity of the writing threw me off a little at first, but the story is solid and the characters adorable. It's a great read for anyone who has seen and enjoyed the movie.

Although, I do kind of wish they hadn't tried to write every single scene as it happens in the movie -- the result was that the story jumped in places, as the movie did quick edits between scenes. If the author had written with more of a sense of the overall story, rather than writing down the movie, then I think parts of it would have flowed together a little better.

i love this book, i am currently reading it for, like, the millionth time! It's so good. i watched the movie twice and i enjoyed this book just as much as the movie.
There's only one thing i didn't like. Some of the adjectives Stacia used didn't really match how they felt in the actual movie.
THAT WAS MY ONLY PROBLEM!!!!!
Good book, i really recommend others to read it.
but DON'T read it if you haven't watched the movie--so many spoilers! ;)

I’ve seen the movie like a million times and I never get tired of watching it. Rise of the guardians is one of my favorite movies ever! This is one of my comfort movies and the book is definitely worth it since it’s the same as the movie. I love every scene of the book because you can relate to Jack Frost. Imagine you are lost, alone, no answers to know who are you, no history of your past only the present, and nobody acknowledges you even though you see people!? Of course Jack would be so depressed and the only way he copes is to have fun.

I love Jack Frost’s history because in a way you can see that before he can become a guardian he needed to believe in himself, and obviously know the reason why the moon made him a guardian.

*He needed someone to believe in him and he desperately needed that because nobody likes to be alone*

Also, I love bunny’s and Jack’s hate-love friendship🤍 it really keeps you entertained while reading the book!

Pitch, also known as the Boogeyman, plans on engulfing the world in nightmares, so the Man on the Moon has Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and the Sandman team up with prankster Jack Frost to defeat the darkness, all while trying to figure out who Jack was before he became immortal. Deutsch provides a quick but entertaining summary of Dreamwork's exciting film, based on the brilliant work of William Joyce. Could this mission lead Jack to the answers he's been seeking all these centuries?

I haven't seen the movie in at least a couple years or so, but this novelization made it all come back to me. I admit, it was a little underwhelming in the sense that it's mostly how things went down and what the characters said and not much is said about their feelings or such. Though, it is still a great book and I still love it!

Faithful to the movie as expected. I just had to deduct a few stars because it was written like a children's book. Not that I'm complaining. I was craving a little more lore that wasn't shown in the movie or it was just implied. But, nothing new. And ofc, Jack Frost is the best boi. I love him so much

f you've watched television at all in the past month, chances are you have heard about the movie Rise of the Guardians. It's a children's film about all the well-known holiday characters such as, Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, Jack Frost, and The Boogeyman aka Pitch. The human world is threatened by nightmares and only the Guardians can save it. Jack Frost doesn't have any memory of where he came from. When trouble arises, the Guradians call on Jack for help. Jack isn't so sure he wants to help anyone. Especially people who might ruin all his winter-time shenanigans. However the Guardians have another problem besides Pitch. The children of the world are slowly becoming unbelievers of the holiday heroes they once held so high.
This is a cute story for kids. The author of this story really puts a twist on these characters. Santa is Russian, Easter Bunny is from the Outback, and the Tooth Fairy is a little eccentric. I really liked the little changes. I think it makes The Rise of the Guardians stand out from other holiday movies of the past. The narrator did an okay job with the accents and personalities of each character. I wasn't overly impressed, but I believe kids will enjoy listening to this audio book, even if they didn't see the movie. It has the perfect blend of humor and drama while incorporating the message to believe in yourself. It also has the basic 'good verses evil' theme too. I think kids of all ages will enjoy this, but especially kids between the ages of 4-10, The audio book is approximately two hours long, so it's a great length for the younger crowd.

*Update* I let me kids listen to this after I did. They absolutely loved it!

This book is a good novelization, and it is clearly for children. The writing is simple and easy to read, the characters are portrayed well, and the magic is still there.

From Sandy’s good dreams to Tooth’s collection of memories, from North’s wonder to Bunny’s hope, the joy of childhood shines brightly. This fresh take on familiar characters is a delightful change, and it shines with magic.

If you enjoyed the movie but maybe wanted a little more depth or insight into the thoughts and feelings of the characters, this book is for you.

After seeing the film (which I really liked) I got this to read to my little boy. He's only 1 and a half but he likes been read too and there are some nice pictures in the book to look at. It was a good adaptation of the film and made for a fun bedtime story. I would suggest watching the film first though as the book dose lose a little of the magic.

This book is a word for word follow of the Rise of the Guardians movie. The book is boring and lacks any real feeling, do to the fact that it is a novelization and not an original book. The only reason i read this is because i really liked the movie. This is one of the few books that i would recommend not reading, but instead watch the movie.
