So after a summer of family time, I went back to living alone a few days ago. Therefore I read this all by my lonesome in an old house that creaks and groans constantly, and it was night, and I was shitting my pants. And it's not even the slow, quiet, creepy kind of scary - it's the demented killer creature kind of scary, which for some reason is seven times worse for me.
It's creative and gory, and Zosofi just keeps nailing it with the romance, because the way Stiles and Derek's relationship is portrayed just stabs you in the heart - they've got it good, they know they've got it good, we know they've got it good, everybody knows they've got it truly, amazingly good. Also nailing it with the insight and the characterization. Just nailing it all over. Nailing everything.
Three years after Just Act Normal. Monsters, monsters, monsters. Well, one monster. Seems Stiles is a "spark"? I like it. The chosen one and all that. The catalyst. More stories about that please! Very rare to see Sterek established and I could read it all day long especially like this was written. They are so in love. So, the end was awesome. I hope there is more. Even a short about the end would leave me breathless I am sure. A definite must read if you read the first.
This is the sequel to the fabulous Just Act Normal. It is the rare fic portraying these two as an established couple and I always have a big smile on my face when that happens.
Stiles continues to be an actor, as well as a magnet for supernatural baddies. This author consistently uses great characterizations and voice and deftly weaves flashbacks from Stiles' past to lend greater impact to the present story.
So 3 years later, Stiles and Derek's committed relationship has only strengthened and flourished. The ending to me was a swoony, sweet package of wonderfulness, thus allowing me to add an extra star :)
This sequel to Just Act Normal follows Stiles and the gang as they deal with yet another supernatural threat. As is often the case, Stiles is a bad-thing magnet and finds himself the focus of a terrifyingly gruesome monster's obsession.
The fic mostly centres on identifying and killing the threat, but we also get a lovely little glimpse into Stiles and Derek's relationship three years after they initially came together in JAN. It was sweet and - for a brief second there - hot, but mostly this was a creepy little fic focusing on the monster-of-the-week.
This was kind of fun, and scary, and kind of confusing/disorganized as it went from Peter/flashback to the present creature...or something like that. But I liked it.
So this is a sequel and a very good one too, not as wonderful as the first story, but still really enjoyable. I love seeing Sterek as an established couple and being all perfect together. The ending is definitely lovely and it does seem fitting for the characters somehow. The writing is just as nice as before and I really think I should try some more of these authors fics (if I haven't already) because really, they seem to be very good.
A short-ish sequel to Just Act Normal. Exactly as it's billed, this is a monster-of-the-week story. Lots of fun references to the TV show Supernatural.
Not quite as fun to read as the first story, but still entertaining.
I quite like actor Stiles in a relationship with Deputy Derek. The monster-of-the-week had some scary moments, and the flashbacks to creepy Peter were suitably creepy.
