As teenagers, Lindsay and Grady found a love together that few people are lucky enough to ever experience.

When Lindsay Ross decided to visit her aunt for the summer in a small lake town in New York, she didn’t expect anything other than an escape from her demanding parents. She certainly didn’t expect Grady Hawke. At the end of the summer, Lindsay and Grady made plans for their future and vowed to be together forever. Back in New York City, events beyond her control forced Lindsay to turn her back on Grady and their love.

Grady has spent the last five years trying to forget the one girl who broke his heart. But when Lindsay arrives back in town unannounced, will Grady get to know the woman she has become and find out the real reason she left him all those years ago? Or will he push her away for good?

Just One Reason by Kirsten DeMuzio is a sweet romantic tale of a young couple who were given a second chance at love. This book follows up on her first book, Safe With You and can indeed be read as a stand-alone since this story focuses on Taryn Ross cousin, Lindsay Ross.

 photo cf971130-dae0-4c82-b691-5a860accb0e6_zps0cd22d31.jpg

Lindsay Ross is a young privileged NYC 21-yr old socialite, who is at a crossroad in her life. Nothing that Lindsay planned for her life is going right. She is unhappy with the choices and things she has done from dropping out of college in her senior year, the career path she has chosen, her affair with a married college professor and the disapproval and disappointment of her parents. With the help and suggestion from her cousin Taryn, Lindsay decides to leave her old city life and move to the countryside of Penn Yann, New York with her Aunt Lana hoping this time away will help her find herself and purpose in life.

 photo justonereason2_zps044839fc.jpg

Penn Yann holds a special place in Lindsay's heart since this was where she met her first and true love, Grady Hawke in the summer of her junior year of high school. Although they only spent 3 months together, they instantly fell in love. The forever kind of love. Being that Lindsay was only 16 and and Grady was 19, they made plans for their future. The plan entails that Lindsay would return home finish her senior year of high school, return next summer, attend college nearby, and they would begin their lives together. On her last night with Grady, he shows Lindsay a plot of land where he plans to build a house for them by the lake. A house where they will grow old and raise their children. They spend one magical last night together. Two months later, Grady receives an email that completely shattered and destroyed him. Lindsay informs him " it's over and to not call her" with no clear explanation of why for the sudden break-up.

Five long years has passed since Lindsay has visited her aunt and the small town of Penn Yann. She fears running into Grady since she broke his heart. Being that it is a small town, words get around that Lindsay is back and Grady is furious. He is so upset and hurt that the one girl whom he truly loved is back in his life and his town. Memories of all the pain and hurt that she has caused him comes flooding back...He is filled with so much anger that he goes out of his way to make Lindsay uncomfortable. He wants to her hurt as much as the pain she caused him so he goes around sleeping with another woman and flaunts it in her face.

" You ripped my heart out of my fucking chest! I loved you Lindsay. I would have done anything for you, given anything to be with you....Apparently you didn't feel the same way."

But behind the pain, hurt, and anger, deep down Grady knows that he still loves her. Lindsay also loves Grady and has never stopped loving him but she had her reasons for the break-up. Like every buried secrets and reasons everything comes to surface. Truths and lies are exposed. Lindsay has held onto the pain of what happened 5 years ago losing Grady. It's not what she wanted, but really how much of your life do you control at 16?

When the truth is finally revealed, the love these two held onto still burns bright. The time apart only reminded them that they still love each other and their passion never died.

"Lindsay, I loved you five years ago. I love you everyday we were apart, and I love you today more than I ever have. I know I have been a shitty bastard this last month, and I will never forgive myself for treating you like that...If you can forgive me for that, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you and making sure you are happy. Lindsay...I want to be with you."

What I like about Just One Reason is that two heartbroken individuals are given a second chance at love and gets their HEA. The heroine, Lindsay learns that she is indeed strong and that pleasing and conforming to what her mother's expectation is not the life that she wants to live. Her happiness lies with Grady, the boy who stole her heart five years.

What I didn't like about the book was the 15% in the book, my assumptions of the big secret was correct so it was no big surprised when it was revealed half way into the book. Although I already knew what was coming, I still enjoyed the book. It had the things I look forward to reading in a contemporary romance: it had some angst, sweet and funny moments, love and of course a HEA with no cliffhanger. I especially liked that the author gave us an epilogue that will leave readers feeling happy and good.

Lindsay and Grady met the summer before her junior year of high school, as she stayed with her aunt Lana. Although they only spent 3 months together, they fell in love. The forever kind of love. Lindsay was 16 and Grady was 19. The plan: Lindsay would return home, complete her junior year, and return the next summer. They spend a magical last night together and Grady shows her what their future could look like.
2 months later, all he gets is an email saying Its over. No explanation. And the second sentence in that email? Don't call me.
5 years go by and Lindsay returns to the small town to live with her aunt Lana again. She's older now, but kind of lost in life. Grady finds out she's back and he's pissed. How dare she return after 5 years into his life, his town.
The five years hasn't done anything to smother the fire these two have. Grady doesn't know why she dumped him. But there's a reason, and it eventually comes to surface.
Lindsay has held on to the pain of what happened 5 years ago, and the pain of losing Grady. It's not what she wanted, but really how much of your life do you control at 16?? Nada, but your parents sure do.
Grady doesn't react well to her arrival. He acts out, tries deliberately to hurt her and a couple times he does succeed.
Lindsay is still in love with him. She hurts to see the anger and hatred in his eyes.
Something happens to Lindsay and in the process Grady learns the truth of what happened all those years ago. As the reader, you pretty much guess a portion of it. Just not the whole story. And it's sad she faced it all alone basically.
When Grady and Lindsay can finally talk without wanting to kill each other, they realize the love is still there. Lots of good things finally come their way and there's a very sweet HEA.

A pretty good read.
It's fast paced, has likeable characters. A little predictable but in a good way because you do wish for a happy ending for these characters. The writing was good, easy to understand, keeping you interested throughout.

Slow read, less refined writing, a bit overly simplistic. Nothing really memorable to me.

Just One Reason is one of those stories that draws you in and you have no choice but to finish it in one sitting because you don't want to miss anything. To say that I was on an emotional roller coaster would be an understatement. First I want to say that I LOVE a book that has a happy ending after the couple has been through hell and back and this is what happens between Lindsay and Grady. I have always said this and I will always say this that love knows no boundaries and when the heart wants what the heart wants giving it something different is only hurting it not healing it.

Lindsay has a screwed up life of a socialite daughter. She comes from money and her mother really is a pill. So Lindsay acts out and her cousin tells her she should get away so Lindsay decides she is going to go to New York and stay the summer with her aunt. When she gets there she meets Grady and they fall in love. The connection is so real and there that they have the best summer of their lives and decide that they are going to make this relationship work. They plan on this future together and Grady even shows Lindsay a piece of land where he is going to build their house where she can have kids and the HEA but we all know what happens when we are 16 years old don't we.

Well if you don't here is a clue her family had other plans for her and she had no choice but to break up with Grady. She was heart broken and devastated but she had no choice but to break up with him. Lindsay's life spirals out of control and after five years she returns to aunts house to stay. She is old enough to make her own decisions and she really needs to find herself because she has done and been through the wringer. But when she gets there she knows to stay away from Grady because she has broken his heart and for five years he has been a shell of a man because his heart was ripped out.

Afraid of what his reaction is going to be she tries to hide the fact that she is back in town but when Grady finds out he acts like a total douche towards her. Remember he loved her and still does but he wants to hurt her just like she hurt him and so he does that. He rubs in the fact that he is in a relationship with someone else and just does some down right dirty shit to hurt her like she hurt him. Finally tired of holding everything in Lindsay blasts Grady and he is shocked to say the least. When all the secrets and lies are revealed to Grady he feels like a tool for treating Lindsay the way he did. Grady realizes that Lindsay still loves him and he still loves her and he wants to be with her but will she forgive him for how he has treated her? Will she leave again to save her heart from being torn to shreds again? This is a must read LOVE story!

It has been 5 years since Lindsay broke Grady’s heart and now she’s back in town staying with her aunt while she figures out her life. During the novel you get flashbacks of their time together and it is heart breaking to see how much their break-up still affects them, even after all this time apart!

When Grady finds out that Lindsay is back, he is not to happy about it. My heart nose dived when it it was revealed that Grady built the house that he promised would be theirs. Now that she’s back, he decides to sell the house so that he can move on. There’s just so much he doesn’t know about why Lindsay had to leave him!

During her time in town, Lindsay becomes close with one of Grady’s friends and he wants to put a stop to it. He tries everything to make her hurt and eventually Lindsay breaks down. When she needs him most, he is there by her side to prove that he still loves her just like he did all those years ago. But when Lindsay confesses the real reason she broke his heart, he is there for her completely!

I thought this book was fantastic and I absolutely adored Lindsay and Grady. This novel can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend you read Safe With You first as it provides insight into the characters before reading Just One Reason.

Having read and loved the author's first book in this series, I was excited to read "Just One Reason". I liked it even more than the first; the storyline was intense and passionate, and kept me reading, wanting to see how it all played out. Lindsey and Grady, the main characters, meet when Lindsey is still in high school, and their love story goes from first love to painful separation, and back to lasting love. But their journey isn't easy and learning to trust again is hard, but their feelings for one another never stopped, even when they both tried to deny them.

Lindsey is independent but struggling to find herself and is trying hard to overcome a personal tragedy. Grady is hot, proud, and stubborn, and has spent 5 years trying to forget about Lindsey, but when she shows up in his hometown, he has to face his feelings.

I loved the setting of the book and the supporting characters, who I really hope turn up in future books. Ford, the ex-football player, who is now a bartender is especially intriguing and there were glimpses in this book of drama to come.

This book is well-written, full of passion and romance, and I loved how it's written from both Lindsey's and Grady's points of view.

Just One Reason was a cute, heartfelt read. It was very emotional at times, and a book that you could easily relate to. It's told in a duel POV from the perspective of Lindsay and Grady. The two fell in love over the summer and promised to stay in touch. But something happens and Lindsay breaks Grady's heart, but things aren't so black and white. Lindsay returns to the town that Grady lives in, to figure out her life. The only thing standing in her way is Grady. He's broken, still, and pissed that she left him. They try to avoid each other, but the love they still hold is undeniable. The secret that Lindsay is hiding, may break them for good.

Overall, I would say there wasn't anything that I didn't like about the book... but there's really nothing I flat-out loved either. It's a solid romantic read, that's well written. I loved the last few chapters of the book, and my heart was happy at the end. I will read the next book in this series, if it's about Ford (Grady's brooding bartender friend).

Got to 50% and couldn't read any more. Lindsay, a 21 year old pines for a holiday love she had 5 years ago. When she moves back to the small town where her aunt lives, he's still living there.

I couldn't get past the fact that she's 21. Sorry, at 21 she should be out clubbing or dating still. Have friends, doing pyjama parties, getting out and seeing the world, not pining for babies and falling back on someone she was in love with when she was 16.

Maybe its just me but I couldn't like her. She was too blinkered and uninteresting. No wonder she didn't get out of bed for days, she had nothing to get out of bed for and nothing to make me want to read more about her saga.

I am such a sucker for books like this! I loved every minute of this book. I have not read book 1 of this series (you dont have to, to read this book) but I am going to read book 1 so I can read Taryn and Wyatt's story. Yes, it was predictable but I dont care it was a great read and I enjoyed it.

Loved!!

Great second chance romance.

When two young lovers get separated by her controlling mother, Lindsay comes back 5 years later to get away from her life only to see the love of her life, Grady, hate her.

Grady thought that Lindsay loved him as much as he loved her, but when she unexpectedly breaks up with him, he thinks differently. When she shows up in town 5 years later, his hurt and hate runs deep.

But when he finds out what really happened, he hurts for what could have been and what teenage Lindsay went through alone. Now he wants her back; forever!!

A must read!

I’m really glad I was able to get a review copy of Just One Reason after reading Safe With You. I adore this author. I really do. Both her books were unputdownable for me. They have a way of being relatable even if the character’s situations and backgrounds are more unreachable. Her writing breaks the cycle of monotony I’m tending to see from the New Adult genre. It was completely different from the first book, Safe With Me, which centers around Lindsay’s cousin Taryn. Just One Reason is centered around Lindsay this time, along with Grady, the boy she first fell in love with and never truly got over. Unlike the first book, this one has regularly alternating POVs. I couldn’t imagine the story without it.

The story starts off where we left Lindsay at the end of Safe With Me. She has decided to move in with her Aunt Lana indefinitely until she can figure out her life. Unfortunately, that means she is back in the same small town where she fell in love with Grady one summer five years ago only to send him a terse email ending things a few months after summer is over. We don’t really figure out the true story behind that email except for the fact her mother was involved until about two-thirds into the book. But, don’t worry, this was a quick, cute read, therefore it’s not too torturous. So, Grady is super pissed at Lindsay and spends a good chunk of the book being an asshat to her because a)she shattered his heart b)he’s still in love with her c)he doesn’t want to get hurt again and d)he’s a guy. In my opinion, they get back together a little too easily. Like, Lindsay forgave him for all his douchebaggery quickly. But, at the same time, I loved them together too much to really care. It took them for-freaking-ever to finally talk but once they did they were quickly back to the “I love you” and I was swooning. There was lots of crying involved and I knew Lindsay had a good excuse for torturing Grady and herself, but the real reason took me totally off-guard. I hated Lindsay’s mom, but I loved how Lindsay stood up to her and also defended Grady.

The characters are so loveable in this book. Lindsay is sweet, but also sassy. She is gorgeous and down-to-earth even with her family situation. She is stubborn as hell which sounds very familiar. The main reason she is at Lana’s is because she is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. But, when she knows what she wants she goes after it. Turns out all she needs is Grady. Grady was awful to Lindsay for half of the book, which makes me really glad we had his point of view throughout the book, because without it I might have never forgiven him for some of the things he did. But, in reality, he was just really hurt by Lindsay. He is our standard hot alpha male, complete with tattoos, long hair, and a motorcycle. Lindsay is a lucky girl. He caters to her every need once they are back together and the way he takes care of her is unreal. Oh and the two HUGE gestures he makes in the book? Nearly. Killed. Me. I was in awe, then I was jealous, and then back to the swooning. You’ll see. Don’t want to ruin the surprise for you. Their love scenes? Wow. Kirsten knows how to write those. They are the perfect combination of steamy sex and tender lovemaking.

I also loved Grady’s group of friends, Josh, Leah, and Ford. I want to see a book for Ford. He’s so mysterious and my heart breaks for his past. I was glad to see a few glimpses of Taryn and Wyatt in all their cuteness. Taryn and Lindsay still maintain this sister bond that makes me smile. I love, love, loved the predictable happy ending for this book. I knew certain things would happen, but the way they happened still awed me. I just couldn’t get enough of this book and I was sad it was ending. I only wish they had quickly mentioned Taryn and Wyatt in the epilogue, but it is
Grady and Lindsay’s book after all. I hope Kirsten DeMuzio continues to write, because I am in love with her books.

The uptown girl. New York's socialite. Comes from a powerful family. Studies Law and has an internship for a fine law firm. She have it all. She could really have anything what she wants. Money, shoes, clothes, cars, every material girls want to have but she still feels empty. Incomplete. A part of herself still feels like something's missing and she need to find it.

Grady Hawke

Blue eyes, dark blonde hair, small town boy. A guy from Lindsay's past that can never be denied. That maybe he's the one that Lindsay need to make her whole again.

But with a past like that, it was never reall easy.

She didn't come back for him. She came to find herself. What she wanted to do with her life. She needed a break from the city.

not to spoil the story or anything
I'll say that I loved it! It was amazingly written. Some twist and turns. And just so nice to see or read about how two people find each other. That their love was all they really needed.

 photo tumblr_lu1vneW6Df1qledtlo1_500_zpsab4d9353.jpg

All in all I love this more than the story of Taryn and Wyatt. I guess it's because how so much love there is for Lindsay and Grady. It's so special. Emotional. A loved bond so strong over the times.

3.75 Second Chance Stars

I was actually going through the books I own in my Kindle and came across this, got curious, read the blurb, and got more curious so I decided to dive into it. It was a second-chance romance and is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I know this because I have not read the previous books, and I was still able to follow the story easily and enjoy it without knowing what happened to the other couple in the other books. I gotta say, it wasn’t one of my favorite second-chance romances, but I still liked it and don’t regret reading it.

This book starts of during the summer in which Lindsay Ross and Grady Hawke fell in love when they were just teens. It was their last day together before Lindsay has to go back home to New York – back to her distant and indifferent parents and leave Grady behind. It truly was heartbreaking for them to be away from each other for such a long time, but they made a vow to come back to each other and be together forever no matter what. This though, does not happen due to certain events and factors that you eventually will find out or figure out on your own before the big reveal (in my case).
Grady,
We are over. Please stop calling me.
Lindsay

There was so much more I wanted to say, but I knew if I gave him any sense that this wasn’t what I wanted he would fight for me. And I couldn’t let him do that. I couldn’t drag him down with me.

After five years of being apart, Lindsay come back to Penn Yan to come live with her aunt Lara indefinitely. When Grady finds out about this, he does not take it well and lashes out on Lindsay the moment he sees her. He pretty much treats her like shit for weeks and tries his best to be an ass to her, purposely hurting her feelings. I mean, I get that he was hella crushed and heartbroken when Lindsay broke it off with him before, so I get when his outbursts are coming from. But you can’t help but feel for Lindsay when he’s all but shoving other women to her face – especially once you find out why she did what she did. And it was pretty rational. I mean sure, she could’ve done things a tad bit differently, but she was 16 years old, in pain, helpless, alone, and devastated. So really, you can’t blame her for the choices she made then because she truly believed she was doing the right thing.

The big reveal as to why things happened the way they did happens halfway through the book, and there are more that transpire after that, including the making up Grady has to do with how he treated Lindsay before finding out her reasons behind her decisions. I loved how dedicated and loving Grady was to Lindsay after knowing the truth and how remorseful he felt about how he treated her when she first arrived at Penn Yan. He then became the best boyfriend ever, and gave his entire heart and soul to Lindsay and making sure she never hurts again – by him or anyone else. You won’t be able to resist forgiving him for being a complete asshole to Lindsay at first, and will certainly root for him and their togetherness (lol).
”Lindsay, I loved you five years ago. I loved you every day we were apart, and I love you today more than I ever have. I know I have been a shitty bastard this last month, and I will never forgive myself for treating you like that. If you can forgive me for that, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you and making sure you are happy. Lindsay… I want to be with you.”

***I was given this book in exchange for an honest review***

I usually begin my reviews explaining why I chose this book and give props to the people that introduce me to it. However, I am going to say that the number one reason I reviewed this book was because of the cover. This is one of the most attractive covers that I have seen in a while, and I knew that I needed to read the book behind the cover. That being said, let me get into the book.

This is the second book by Kirsten DeMuzio that covers the lives of the characters in her book. The first is Safe with You and I will be reviewing that later in the week. This book (Just One Reason) focuses on Lindsey Ross, a rich socialite that is at a cross roads. She just quit her internship, her parents won't speak to her, her best friend is moving on with a new relationship, and she doesn't really know who she is. So she decides to move (well Taryn decides for her) in with her aunt so she could find out who she really is. What she didn't intending finding was Grady...her long lost love.

I really am not going into much more detail about the plot because it will take away from the reader experience. Instead, I am going to simply talk about the characters and get into the story that way. I was a fan of Lindsey's for the most part. She was dealt a shit hand with those parents of hers and she did the best she could with what she was given. Do I think that she should have told Grady the truth after the hellstorm died down? Yes. Do I think she is a little spoiled and needs to be knocked down a few notches? Yes. But do I think that she isn't a strong character because she is somewhat weak at times? No. I thought she was strong and independent and a perfect complement to Grady's rough exterior/soft interior. She was the complete opposite. A soft exterior/and a strong interior.

I loved Grady Hawke! I know that he was a typical male character in a romance novel with his bad boy good looks and attitude to match; however, I think Grady is deeper than that. If you think Lindsey was dealt a shit hand, take a look at Grady. He was led to believe that the girl he loved just simply didn't love him anymore. Than BOOM she was back in his life and he had no clue why she left. I do believe that he was quite the ass to Lindsey for a good majority of the book, but with good reason. My only negative about this book was that I believe that maybe DeMuzio could have cut out some of the Lindsey bashing in this book.

The Verdict

This book has some great parts: it will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you cuss like a sailor, and it will make you hot hot hot!! Check it out! You won't regret it!

I just finished Just One Reason and I just loved it. I was hoping that this would get better and it did for me. If you have been reading this series then you know Safe With You (Wyatt and Taryn) was the first one following Just One Reason which is about Lindsay and Grady. Lindsay is cousins with Taryn and has been going through some tough times, a lot of it is emotional and she doesn’t know what to do with her life. Taryn is now in a relationship with Wyatt so feeling lonely goes back to her Aunt Lana. She was there one summer and had felt comfortable there but this was where she also met and fell in love with Grady. With promises to return after that summer she has to end up breaking it off. Let’s just say that Grady has been very bitter. Now that she is back, Grady wants nothing to do with her yet wants an explanation. But here is where we find out that there were secrets that were hidden and too ultimately move on whether it is together or apart, those secrets have to be told. How will those secrets play into their happily ever after? You will have to read and see...

I really enjoyed this story. I thought it flowed really well and to me it was a sweet story about forgiveness and second chances. Man I just loved Grady. He is sexy and loyal and I totally get his bitterness. But once he finds things out, he does change his tune and for me that it was change my feelings for him. When you can forgive and forget and try to be a better man, sigh, be still my beating heart!! Lindsay, she is such a sweetheart. I loved her from Safe With You and was super excited when she was getting her story. She had her reasons and I can see why she kept those secrets, you will honestly understand too. I can say that the chemistry between them was hot! No matter if they were in or out of the bedroom, they set the pages on fire.

I loved the secondary characters. Everyone was there from Safe With Me with a few new additions like Leah and Josh. I loved them! Now we have a newbie named Ford. SEXY. Im super freaking excited that he is next!!!

Honestly, this series has gotten better for me and the characters are so versatile and trust me, you need that here when there are a lot of characters to follow. You could read this one as a stand alone but why in the world would you do that? Trust me, give these a chance. I do not regret reading them!

However, circumstances drove them apart, making Lindsay break Grady’s heart. With a short, unfeeling note Lindsay broke up with Grady and never talked to him.

Five years later, just as when Grady is starting to fix his life and forget the girl who had torn his heart into pieces – she came back in town – WITHOUT INFORMING HIM.

I felt sad for Lindsay, who had clearly suffered after the summer that she left town. She was young, alone, without support from her parents and she couldn’t call Grady. I get it that she never told anyone about him, even her best friend. Some people might not understood, perhaps even me, because meeting the ONE at a young age is a VERY RARE occurrence. But it happened to THEM. They were lucky enough to find it once, but will fate allow them for another chance?

I like Grady, even when he was an a** to Lindsay. After all, he was broken hearted, frustrated and angry. He deserves an explanation why she left him. He was afraid what they had been everything to him and was just a summer fling to her.

I adore the secondary characters, especially Taryn and Leah who had been great friends to her. I have to look forward for Ford’s story – this crazy bartender already had my heart with his Halloween costume.

I love, love, love stories of second chances. It makes me feel that there is hope for ‘the-one-that-got-away to come back into your life and once again sweep you off your feet. One Reason is a part of a series, but you can read it as a standalone. I like the characters, the twist, the romance, the steamy scenes and the plot. This was one short, sweet read that will make you realize that love comes in the most unexpected time in our lives, and real love, whatever circumstances may have drive you apart, will always come back to you.

Just One Reason is a heartfelt and beautiful romance!! I fell in love with Lindsay and Grady from the very beginning.

This is definitely a much happier and “fluffier” read than what I normally like, but I still really enjoyed the story. I do like my stories to have a bit more depth and hotter scenes but every so often it’s nice to read about the softer side of things. But don’t let that fool you into thinking that there wasn’t some drama and a few bumps in the road for Lindsay and Grady.

Lindsay and Grady fell in love when they first met when Lindsay was visiting her aunt over the summer. But when she returned home, she ended things with Brady without any reason. Five years later, she has returned to visit her aunt for an unexpected amount of time. Grady doesn’t react well to hearing that Lindsay is back in town. Lindsay knows that she will have to deal with Grady at some point but she is not sure how to go about talking with him. It’s been 5 years and she still hasn’t figured out how to him why she broke ended their relationship. Grady definitely doesn’t help the situation by acting like a total ass every time she is around.

Lindsay and Grady love each other fiercely and it’s obvious in their reactions to one another. Grady acts like a douche bag in public to keep here away, but when they are together privately, he really screws with her head but making out with her, kissing her like his next breath depended and knowing how to push her over the edge in the blink of an eye. Lindsay always knows when Grady is in the same room she before she even sees him. As much as she wants to hate him when he is near, her body can’t help but react to him. And Lindsay can only hold back for so long.

I absolutely love that this book is told from both Lindsay and Grady’s POV. You can feel the heartache and pain that Lindsay goes through when she returns. You can sense her struggle with explaining the past to Grady. Grady’s anger and hatred is very well understood and you have no problems seeing that. The love between these two is very obvious. I love how passionate they are towards one another – it justadds to the story.

Great job Kirsten!! I look forward to reading more!!

*I was provided with a free copy for the blog tour. Thank you!*

“Just one reason” is a really great book and I enjoyed it a lot!! It’s a sweet love story with a dramatic tone that just hooked me in from the beginning.

I have to recognize that “Just One Reason” is not what I expected. It’s so much more. It’s a book that teaches you how to give a second chance, how to love again and how to follow your heart. I also learned that there is a really, really thin line between love and hate.

The beginning of the book is ah-mazing. I loved the scenes from 5 years ago, when Grady and Lindsay were just some teenagers that were in love with each other. Those scenes are so sweet. <3

I have to recognize that the first part of the book, where Grady and Lindsay hated each other, was more intriguing and I liked it better than the second part. It was more thrilling and Grady as a jerk was really hot. (What?!) I liked that feeling of hate and love I was feeling from the characters. I liked how they bantered each other, how passionate they were.

In the second part, after Grady and Lindsay becomeloversagain , the things seemed maybe a little rushed and a little ordinary. At least this is how I felt.

Grady is such a romantic guy! That scene with the *cough* wedding *cough* was so romantic! I seriously grinned like a fool!!

Lindsay is a really cool woman, but it’s obvious that the past afected her. She is a really smart, loving woman and I hated her mother for putting her in that situation.

The love story is really hooking. The read will quickly be captivated by the tragedy and the feelings that this book gives you. I was curious to see if Grady and Lindsay will end up together. The end put a smile on my face. J

I was also curious about Lindsay’s secret. At some point I started to figure it out, but it was still a surprise.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading “Just one Reason”. I liked the characters, the love story and the writing style. It’s such a sweet love story that you can’t not smile while reading the book. Definitel worth reading!

Just One Reason was a welcome change from the not so good books I have been reading recently. I was in quite a funk and not expecting much from it, but this one was actually really good.

Lindsey and Grady met when Lindsay was 16. She was just visiting for the summer and they fell in love. Forever love. Lindsey didn't tell anyone about Grady when she got home because she didn't think they would understand. I get that. I wouldn't understand if someone told me that at 16. Then something happens and she is forced to break up with him even though she loves him.

The story is told in present day, 5 years after Lindsey left she is back, with flashbacks to when she visited that summer. Grady is still heartbroken thinking Lindsey didn't really love him and he hasn't managed to move on. He is not very happy when he sees she is back in town, especially after talking to her bff who knew nothing about him. He takes this as she really didn't care about him and so he starts trying to make her hate him. He is still drawn to her, but he acts out trying to get her to hate him so he can stay away.

Lindsey is still in love with Grady as well, and her secrets are weighing on her. I kept waiting to find out what they were, hoping they would not be something stupid. When you find out why she broke up with Grady I just thought okay that is good. I mean if I had been her I don't know what else I could have done. With the nightmare that is her mother there really wouldn't be any other option.

It took some time but they were eventually able to work everything out. Once everything came out that happened 5 years ago Grady feels so bad for treating Lindsey so poorly. Once they got together they were so sweet together. The story was very well told and I just really enjoyed it. Yes at times the writing felt a bit clunky, but I didn't care as I was enjoying the story so much. Great characters, great story, just a really good read.

***I Received and eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review***

I enjoyed this book. This is the second book in the series. I also enjoyed the first book. While the first book focused mostly on Taryn, this is Lindsay's book.

Lindsey has an aunt Lana who lives in a small town, when Lindsay was 16 she visited her aunt for the summer and she met and fell in love with Grady Hawke. Just that name alone is enough to make me say yummmmm. Lindsay's mom finds out and makes her break it off with Grady, who is not happy and very heartbroken. He is upset that she left back to the big city and left him and their love.

Fast forward 5 years and this is where the story picks up Lindsay is back in town with her aunt Lana. She knows she broke Grady's heart and would love to explain why she did what she did 5 years earlier but isn't sure he wants to hear about it. Grady lives day by day and he often thinks of Lindsay but she broke his heart. He was in a bad place for a few years before finally pulling out of it. He is now finally able to live a somewhat normal life, but when he finds out Lindsay is back in town all the hurt and anger come flooding back.

They go through a huge journey but believe me it is so worth it. I loved the way there is dual points of view. looking at things through Grady's POV then Lindsay's its perfect. It is a light easy read that had me laughing out loud.

The secondary characters are the best! Besides Taryn there is also Grady's Bff Josh and his wife Leah. Man Leah had me laughing, she is so blunt and open about everything. She reminded me of me. Oh and there are times I was like OH HELL NO! especially when in comes to Lindsay's mom. That lady is a bitch.

I really liked this book and am so excited that Ford is getting his own book. I can not wait to read about that guy. He is another one of Grady's friends that you meet in this book. He is so mysterious, I want to No scratch that I NEED to know more about him

Lindsay and Tarryn are cousins and best friends. After Lindsay drops out of her internship in her dad's law firm, she stops speaking to her parents. She moves in with Tarryn. After a while of doing nothing Tarryn becomes worried about Lindsay, so goes behind her back and arranges for Lindsay to stay with her aunt Lana(her mums sister). Lindsay's not amused when she finds out but goes to stay for Tarryn.

Grady Hawke is still trying to forget and move on after 5 years of trying to rebuild his heart and his life, after the love of his life left. He's on his way to his dad's house when he sees Tarryn going into Lana's house and straight away he knows- she's back.

Between Grady on the point of losing it and Lindsay trying to become a recluse to avoid Grady. They both have to try and move on with their lives. Can they do it?

Girls get ready their is a new hot book boyfriend on the block in the form of Grady Hawke and Wyatt hunter in the first book Safe With You. These books NEED to be added to your "TBR" list.

I loved both of these books by Kirsten. The story line was great. I loved Lindsay's character. I really felt for her at what she went through. This is something we can all relate to. This pulled my emotions, I laughed, I cried. The flow was just right for me, there wasn't any part of it I didn't like, Apart from it ended. I cant wait to read more books by Kirsten Demuzio

Kirsten thank you for giving me the opportunity to read your books they were amazing.

I would give these 5/5 stars

I loved this book. There were a few times I cried for both Grady and Lindsay. The love between the both of them when they first met was so consuming. They were completely in love, but when it ends unexpectedly it broke Grady. Lindsay never gave him a reason. All this time he thought she didn't love him and she shattered his heart. What began as love turned into hate, and we all know there is a thin line between love and hate. After five years Lindsay returns to his town, and when I say he was a complete jerk I'm not lying. I understand he was hurt and wanted to lash out at Lindsay but how he kept treating her was just crossing the line. She came back to deal with some things in her life and the town where her aunt lives was the only place she felt she could go. Grady didn't understand why she came back but he wanted her to hurt as bad as he had been hurt when she broke his heart. There are some things Lindsay has been keeping from him and when I found out what it was my heart broke for her and for Grady. He never knew and all his hate was for nothing. Does Lindsay's confessions bring Grady to his knees? Read the book and find out and you won't regret it. Their love was so strong in the beginning and I kept hoping they could get back to that point. I couldn't put the book down until I knew what happened to them and when you read this book you will feel the same way.

I have not yet read the first book in this series, but I am definitely very motivated to read it now. I absolutely adored this story. One of the things I loved the most was how pissed Grady was at Lindsay! Yes, I just loved how he just assumed that Lindsay didn't love him back when it all happened and he was just pissed and determined to make her feel unwelcome in his town. It was a very real reaction because he was hurt and confused. Many books would have the lead character be all forgiving and willing to listen quickly and whatnot and while it makes the male lead seem all swoony and perfect I loved that Grady was so not. He was real and a total man. He acted like a heartbroken man would and I loved the very real emotions I saw in them both. Lindsay was a very strong character and I loved her. She was determined and even though she made serious mistakes in her past, she tries very hard to turn her life into the direction she truly wants it to go. Lindsay and Grady together were just... explosive. They had so much chemistry and they would just argue and agh I love them. Let's talk a little bit about the secret. It is a secret. This means it wasn't this huge deal about some secret and then it turns out to be some stupid secret and you're left thinking, "This was it?" NO. It was the type of secret that leaves your mouth agape and you give this loud gasp and you're like, "OH MY GOD THIS IS NOT HAPPENING I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED." That type of secret.

Yes, you can read this book as a standalone, but I would read the first book first, Safe With You. I say this because, you meet Lindsay in the first book, and there are some spoilers from the first book. Like what happened with Taryn, and Wyatt. Same as the first book, this is also a HEA! YAY! Love books with HEA!!!!

Just One Reason is Lindsay's story, and if you have read the first book, then you know Lindsay is Taryn's best friend! Since Lindsay isn't getting along with her parents, since she decided that she wanted to change her major in college. She moves in with her Aunt, that lives in a small town, where she spent most of her summer's.

When Lindsay was a teenager, she spent a Summer at her Aunts. This is where she met Grady. Her and Grady fell for each other hard, they had made plans for the future, they wanted to spend rest of their lives together. The Summer ends, and Lindsay has to go back to New York City to finish High School. Lindsay, is forced to do something that she didn't want to do, she broke Grady's heart.

Grady, has lived in this small town his life. He has a great group of friends, who have always been there for him. But when Lindsay breaks his heart, he knows that he will never get over her. After learning that Lindsay, has decided to move in with her Aunt. He has to decide can him and Lindsay, live in the same town? Or is it just too much? But one thing he knows for sure, that the love he has for Lindsay, will never go away!!!

Just One Reason is an airy and cute romantic account of how love can conquer all. While this is some what a spin off of Ms. DeMuzio’s debut novel Safe With You then can definitely be read as a stand alone.

Just One Reason is Lindsey and Grady’s story told with dual POVs about how their love was given a second chance after a five year split.

Lindsey Ross socialite and cousin of Taryn Ross is having a moment is her life that she is feeling lost. Not knowing what to do with herself she decides to leave the city to get some much needed R & R while staying with her aunt.

Once returning to Penn Yann she encounter the one person she left behind with her heart Grady Hawke, Despite the long hiatus Grady is less than pleased that Lindsey has returned. The bitter feeling and ignorance behind the reason they split cause a major rift in the beginning, but after a few encounter that forced them to finally communicate; naturally the feelings these two attempted to suppress start to emerge.

On some level I felted that the ending was a bit rushed but the epilogue somewhat made up for that wrapping up everything with a nice pretty bow.

Once again Ms. Demuzio has created a wonderful work of art included with engaging characters and easy flowing storyline that you can’t help but adore. It is beyond a doubt that Just One Reason has more than one reason to not only add to your TBR list, but also spend a few hours enjoying.

Just one reason is a great title for this story because it starts off as Grady and Lindsey spending an entire summer in love. Then Lindsay breaks up with Grady for reasons unknown. Basically the beginning of the story is about finding out the reason why Lindsay left when she is clearly still in love with Grady.
Grady is trying to make it so Lindsay hates him so it's easier for him to move on. But his friend pointed out that if he continues to behave that way then he will push her into the arms of another guy.
All this can be avoided if Lindsay tells Grady why she left, but of course the stories going to drag on and waste time with them hurting each other instead. Grady's going to have one night stands and Lindsay is going to date some actor guy who might give her the love and family she wants.
Turns out there is actually not a lot drama regarding confronting Grady about why she broke up with him. Lindsey ends up telling Grady when she needs to rush to the ER for a surgery. While filling out paperwork questions are asked regarding past surgeries and that's when Grady learns why Lindsay had to break up with him.
All ends well and they get their HEA. It was a fun and quick read. The author did a good job of keeping it real and keeping your attention. I found an attachment with these characters and I was rooting for them.

Lindsay and Grady met one summer while she was visiting her aunt. They fell in love. 2 months later when she returned home, she broke up with. She didn´t explain why she was breaking up with just told him not to call her.

5 years later they saw each other again when she returned to live with her aunt Lana.

After she broke up with him, he was a mess. He was hurt. Now when she is back, he is angry that she has returned. He doesn´t want her in his life.

But there is one thing that both of them can´t deny. Love. Love they had for each other 5 years ago is still alive. The only thing they have to do is talk. Just with talk they can sort things out.

Eventually she tells him the truth why has she broken up with him 5 years ago and everything that happened after she left that summer.

He now knows that she has been through too much. That she was too young to deal with everything that was happening to in her life.

Now that they have each other again, they are not letting anyone separate them. They won´t allow anyone get in the way of their happy ever after.

Beautiful, hooked, emotional read with a great ending. A heartbreaking, touching story that you don´t want to miss.

In Safe with You, we get a brief introduction of Grady Hawke. Taryn and Wyatt do have brief cameos in the book but this love story is about Grady and Lindsay. The books begins with a flashback, which drew me into the book. These characters went through a summer love phase, Lindsay 16 and Grady 19. Sadly there was a breakup and it was Lindsay that broke up with Grady. Poor Grady :( And the reason for the breakup wasn't revealed until later in the book. I tried to figure it out but couldn't exactly put my finger on it. As luck would have it Lindsay moves back 5 years later to "find herself". Grady's character through the 5 years of separation changed. He now has tattoos and a temper. Which I loved! I kept picturing a Jax Teller for all those Sons of Anarchy fans. :) The character of Lindsay really blossomed in the end. She found her purpose and I liked that. She referenced how Taryn was the strong one but I think that Lindsay came into her own strength and growth as a woman.
Just One Reason was a great read and I will definitely recommend this book to my friends. Read this book in one sitting and I really liked that. I plan on continuing with the series and will begin Fourth Down soon.
