Sharon Kleve was born and raised in Washington and currently lives on the Olympic Peninsula with her husband and cat.
Sharon is a best-selling Northwest author who has published twenty-nine stories and they are available in eBook, paperback and published in foreign languages, and on audiobooks. She has hit Amazon’s top fifty ranking and her books have been #1 in sales for contemporary romance, action adventure, and non-fiction animal books.
When not writing, she can usually be found either curled up in her recliner with her cat and a good book, or in the kitchen baking sourdough bread or bagels. Her latest adventure is writing about her love of animals.
This is the fourth book in the series and by far the most developed. There are still issues with a very immature dialogue, but the characters grow on you over the series.
The story feels more like a CW show and has some very cheesy moments. I have grown to love Corny and her friends, despite my complaints. This book gets a bit more into her business and her relationship with Steve. I was hoping for a bit more drama with the ex. That was solved way too quickly for my way of thinking.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Christy Williamson, who is not the right fit for this book. She has a very youthful voice that would be better suited for YA reads. While she has great energy, it only adds to the overall feel of immaturity in the story. This just wasn't the right pairing, it only served to highlight flaws. I would love to hear her on a younger read where her voice would be a real credit to the material.
It would be interesting to see this series revisited after the author has been around a bit longer. I can imagine it being expanded and improved greatly. She has great potential, a terrific concept and some really funny moments. I can see her work growing as she writes more. With all my complaints, I was still entertained and had a chuckle of two along the way.

Love Crazed is the fourth book in The Corny Myers Series. I haven't read the first three and you don't really have to.
Here’s a crash course into the overall series. Corny Myers is a pet detective. Yes, her name is Corny. Don’t make fun of her name. She hates that. Yes, you read right. She is a pet detective. What's that you ask? Well when pets are in need of help, she's the one they or their humans turn to through Green Hornet Investigations. She also has the ability to speak to and understand animals.
In this installment of the series, Corny Myers is excited to have received a jury summons and is looking forward to serving. Her excitement is dulled when she learns her boyfriend Steve Spears, a Seattle narcotics cop, is getting a visit from his past. Steve's past and present collide in the form of Celeste, his ex-girlfriend.
This book is a hot mess. But it's so funny. There's a talking ferret. His name's Pete. He's also very feisty but oh the stuff he says. LOL. If you're looking for something different and off the wall, this is the book to read.
I've been looking for Corny Myers for a while now. A fun chick-lit mystery is hard to find but I found a new source with Kleve. A psychic pet detective with a LEO (law enforcement officer, not lion) boyfriend wasn't the heroine I expected but she's definitely worth keeping around. "Love Crazed" is a short story that lasted long enough to get me addicted to the series.
