This is an adult paranormal romance and contains scenes of explicit sex, violence and strong language.
Witch-vampire, Sophie, has the power to feel and influence others’ emotions. With the establishment of the Coffin Girls as warriors for the Goddess that kick supernatural ass, the effects of her empath abilities threaten to harm her. Sylvain, the mischievous and seductive fae prince and Coffin Girls ally, offers her the assistance of the fae to hone her powers. The two of them must face the demons of their past, unknown enemies and new evil to find true happiness at last.

For the first time I'm giving a book I've written a five star review - not because I arrogantly feel that it is fantastic. Not that at all! The first book in the series was either exceptionally well-received or disliked. Being a new author and an indie, I was determined to ensure that the next book in the series was one where I illustrated growth and improvement. I had reviewed all feedback provided quite seriously, whether this feedback was informally given or a posted review. As usual, I don't feel comfortable rating my own books. But for this one, I give it five stars because of the immense effort I put into it. I hope I succeeded and if not, then I guess the learning continues.
Favorite Line(s) I HAVE TO PUT A FEW BECAUSE IT WAS THAT GOOD
“we’re witch-vampire women that kick ass’, but that doesn’t mean that we cannot do so with class. No?”
“But, if he had to, he would be the strong one, even if it meant hurting them both.”
“Grow a pair, brother.”
“No more masks, Sophie,” Sylvain said, placing the box on the floor and taking her hands in his. “I won’t hide behind them; won’t hide from you.”
Aneesa Price did it! Man she kicked butt in this book! Watching the Coffin Girls in this book was absolutely amazing! They have become so much MORE! They even opened up a school for survivors of the witch kidnappings. All of them are amazing kick ass Vampire/Witches! Anasis their fearless leader has become amazing! Collan and her are adorable together as always. Though this book shares so much of all the CG it helps us get to know the quiet empath Sophie and the oh my goodness Fae prince Sylvain. He has always thought Sophie was beautiful. Soohie has always found him sexy. So, when she must go to Fae Hollow to work on her empath abilities and that means being around Sylvain every day and night! Will the finally stop being so stubborn (Sylvain) and maybe give love a chance?
Lets not forget all the witch kidnappings that are going on too!
The writing was amazing! Not forced it flowed beautifully and the ending well lets just say Aneesa is lucky I love her and her books or I might have to go track her down and demand to know what happens! The was this author describes both worlds make me stop and take a minute to close my eyes and see them! BEAUTIFUL!
I have and will be recommending this to all my paranormal lovers! BRAVO! I was given this book by author in exchange for an honest review (Thank You A)
wow is all I can say at the moment if finishing. I will have to take a moment and let it all sink in before I write my actual review. I can't wait for more.
This book more than rocked! Mrs. Price keeps you enthralled throughout the entire book. But you really should read book one before you read this one, just saying. The Coffin Girls are ladies who are known for kicking ass, and you will not be disappointed. I was thrilled to get Sophie's story. I love knowing more about each girl's history and how they grow through the story. And Sophie really did grow, stronger and emotionally. Her relationship with Sylvain was so hot and physical. When I got closer and closer to the end, I was sad- cause I knew it would soon be over and I would have to wait for more. I did NOT however like the cliffhanger at the end. This awesome book has: fighting (kick ass), magic, witches, vampires, fairies, and romance. At a couple scenes I was WTF, no way! that is not right. But it was okay, it all was fine. But it totally freaked me out, and that is another thing that just makes this book so totally awesome. I am eagerly waiting for book 3!
Once again Aneesa succeeds in transporting us to this magical world full of romance, action, & excitement! I am a true Aneesa Price Addict...constantly needing more, more, more!!! Did I mention that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORY?!? It is terrific! There is a spicy rasul scene that was very enlightening, & Sylvain's secret place was absolute perfect! Every bit of the story kept my attention fully! The only thing I would have wanted would be more pages. HeeHeeHee That seems to be a never ending problem with me. ROFL Not because the book did not have enough, because I did not feel cheated in any way. The story ended perfectly! I just always want to jump right in to the next part. Can't wait to see where our Coffin Girls take us next!
"Supernatural Seduction" by Aneesa Price is the second instalment of her Coffin Girls series, a fun filled, chick-lit, paranormal extravaganza with suspense and fantastic characters. The Coffin Girls are a group of supernatural/ paranormal girl warriors with individual blends of witch-craft and empathetic powers. Witch-vampire Sophie is the centre of this book, as is her romantic interest in the dubious fae prince Sylvain a handsome man with seductive powers that have given him a bit of a reputation. The book starts with what appears a trap for the coffin girls and introduces the problem of changelings who take the place of the real person and infiltrate the warrior group. I won't spoil the plot by telling you much more. In this series Aneesa Price has established a great bunch of characters that are the foundation for all the flirtation, action, adventure and magick. I love Miss Suzette, one of the year-wise younger characters who however has a biological older appearance and who mothers everyone. Then there is the sorceress Arianna, another interesting and memorable character. A lot of thought has gone into this book; Price is not just another vampire writer. Her thoughtfulness and depth reveals itself in many great passages, such as one scene where the use of herbs in both magic and homoeopathy is being discussed. I also loved the dream sequences that reveal key scenes of Sophie's past, which were very well done without laying on symbolism or being too obvious (as so often seems to happen in dream sequences in books) As Sophie and Sylvain are getting closer to each other they are both faced with demons of their respective past, above mentioned dreams and their fears. As the title suggests there are some erotic scenes and as the genre implies, there is some action and violence, the pace is not too fast, allowing the relationships to develop realistically and the sub-plots to unfold without rushing and forcing events. Mainly, however, it is a great and very believable romance between unlikely yet likeable characters. Beautiful.
Sophie is a beautiful Vampire Empath. She has always put others feelings before her own. Well she has started to have nightmares and is told that if she does not learn to control the emotions inside her it can be detrimental to her. She ends up moving to the Bayou Hollow so learn from a fellow empathy. While there she finds herself tempted by Sylvain and needs to decide if she can handle him and his past.
Sylvain, ah the Fae Prince in all of his glory and man is he glorious. He has lived for centuries but has never met anyone quite like Sophie. He has had his share of women and some he truly cared about but no one like her He needs to decide if he will lay it all on the line for her or continue to hide behind the many masks he wears.
This is the second of the Coffin Girls series and if you thought the first one was good then you are in for a real treat. This book is fabulous and the sexy levels are well ….yeah. We are still following the Coffin Girls on their quest given by the goddess to bring peace among the species. In this book we get a closer look into the minds of Sophie and Sylvain.
While these two are trying to figure out if their steamy relationship will go beyond the physical, there are more witches that need to be saved. Will they figure out what is really going on and save all the creature the Vampires are kidnapping?
I truly enjoyed this book. With the fantasy world of the Fae and back to reality of New Orleans Ms. Price once again does not disappoint us with her level of detail and all around sexiness.
When you expect a hot read full of action, with some romance and some human interaction (I know, they're not all human at this moment, but at least they have been at some point!) and then still some witches, vampires and werewolves, then you found THE book for you.
I loved it especially that we look in this book from the point of view from Sophie and get a whole different idea because of her being an empath about the things that happen and how you get to see and feel them!
Guess now the big problem is that this book ends with a cliffhanger, and we have no idea how fast we can expect the continuation (as this book just got out now!) Please Aneesa Price, write the next one fast!!!
I got a free e-book from the writer in return for an honest review, this didn't influence my opinion in any way!
Wot can I say. Aneesa has done it. this is a great sequel for coffin girls!!! The story starts few months after we finish coffin girls and gets straight into the action, with the coffin girls fihhting for their lives. The Storyline is mainly based around sophie who is half vampire half witch. While helping her sisters at the plantation and teaching the witch's they rescued, Sophie must learn to control her witch half but at the same time deal with her feelings for slyvian. Who is totally HOT!!!! they both have to overcome fears and let each other in, long and testing time but you'll have to read to find out whether they do get through it all. The ending major cliffhanger with a baby shower party happening for Anais and one of the coffin girls missing!!!! Supernatural Seduction shows how much Aneesa has come along since last years release of coffin girls. Couldn't put the book down and yet again left me wanting more cant wait for the third instalment
Edgy, and far superior to the first book of the series (but read #1 first so you know all the players). Excellent job with story development, and there are layers and subplots that make this a great ride. Great Job Aneesa of taking an excellent storyline and giving it more bite (yeah, pun intended).
I have not yet read the first book in this series. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review. The primary focus of this story is Sophie, a vampire-witch who is a very powerful but untrained empath, and Sylvain, a fae prince. Sophie is one of the Coffin Girls, a group of vampire witches in service to the Goddess. As part of that duty, they go after supernatural bad guys, rescue kidnapped witches, run a school to train young witches in their powers and run a wedding planning business out of an old southern plantation.
Sophie is drawn to Sylvain, but is unsure if the feeling is mutual. When he notices her empathic abilities threaten to harm her, or worse, he offers to have one of his subjects train her in the use of her empathic abilities. This turns out to be a good thing all the way around because she gets to spend more time with the very sexy prince.
While I did like the story, there were several errors that got in the way of completely enjoying it. There were several places where the incorrect pronoun was used and one or more words were missing from the text. These editing errors diluted what would have otherwise been a great book. In spite of these problems, I do plan to read the other books in the series. Hopefully, the editing/proofreading will be more thorough by the time I read them. Due to the errors, I can only give this book three stars.
This book is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords.
Fans of the Coffin Girls are in for a real treat. I loved book one and when Supernatural Seduction came out was anxious to read it and oh boy did I have fun. You know how folks say I could not put it down, well I am going to say it - I could not put it down! This installment primarily focuses on Sophie, who is an empath, and the fae prince Sylvain. We still get to visit with the other characters we know and love from Coffin Girls, Elegantly Undead (book #1) and are brought up to date on what is going on in their lives, so there is no feeling of being cheated going on here and plenty to fill us up on recent doings. Again we have action and adventure, as well as an in-depth look at Sophie and Sylvain and what brought them to the place they are in their lives. I think this read would be enjoyable even if you have not read book one, but definitely much more so after reading it and would recommend reading book one first to get the full impact of all the characters and world building. Once again the writing is lovely, the sex is tastefully smexy, and overall it is very engaging. While this is by no means a short read, it could have gone on and on for me and I would not have minded a bit. Do be advised there is a hook at the end that will have you chomping to keep going and find out what is happening next. I purchased this book from Amazon.
With the group of witch-vampires, known as Coffin Girls, now established, they are doing all they can to rescue kidnapped witches who are being tortured and killed by an old adversary. Sophie forms part of the Coffin Girls and from her witch half, is a powerful empath who can read and even influence others with her ability. As her powers grow, she suffers from horrendous nightmares and the only way to tackle them is by accepting the help of a fae prince called Sylvain. As friends they work well together, but as she seeks his help, their feelings for each other collide leaving them unsure of where this will take them.
Although we follow the Coffin Girls, the main focus of this book is around the growing relationship between Sophie and Sylvain. The story between the two of them is strong and the characters are well developed. As an adult book, which I have to say is not one of my favourites as on the whole the bedroom scenes are crude and uncaring, here however I found them written well. They were well thought out and dealt with the emotions rather than just the act.
The only thing that slowed the pace of this good story for me, was it spent so much time on the budding relationship between the two characters that the fight against the evil kidnappers seemed like a subplot and a little rushed. Maybe I just like action rather than romance.
Supernatural Seduction by Aneesa Price Coffin Girls book 2.
Sophie the empath gives this book an edge not regularly found in this genre. The reader gets swept up in a roller coaster of emotion and lust for a very special Fae Sylvain. That is all I am saying regarding the story line. Now… the book carries an 18+ warning. Heed it. This book was way too hot for my taste and will thus be perfect for all you romance lovers that love their romance HOT.
As a matter of fact, the hot level in the book is why it loses a *. Yes it is that hot.
Having read book one, I knew what I was letting myself in for. Or so I figured. I was wrong. Seeing an author grow book after book in every possible way is simply amazing. I adore this authors plain love stories. It is real stories with real people in real circumstances.
After reading this paranormal read and seeing how she grew in character, world building. Contrast and shortening the space between action and the lead up to said action I stand astounded and is so hoping that she will apply this growing talent to a nice romance again. Whether or not the author do this… I will keep reading her work.
I received Supernatural Seduction by Aneesa Price from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock! Sophie is a witch/vampire and a member of the Coffin Girls who are warriors for the Goddess and occasionally kick some a$$ to protect their own. When Sophie's empath abilities threaten to harm her the ever gorgeous and mischievous Fae prince Sylvain offers to help train her to control her abilities. Sophie is very attracted to Sylvain but demons haunt them both and they are afraid of what could be and what could go wrong. I for one couldn't get into this book not for the lack of trying. The writing was good the flow of the story never wavered. There were a few grammar mistakes but I didn't think they harmed to book too much. I just could not connect with the characters, couldn't get that bond that sucks you into the book and feel apart of them. I am not saying that Aneesa wrote a bad book or that it sucked, because it didn't. I personally just couldn't get into the story.
I absolutely LOVE this series. I am hoping and praying there is another one coming out very soon. I just loved this book so much. The visualizations are amazing. I always feel like I am right there. I love the authors style of writing that puts you right in there, emotionally as well as visually. I love reading about the girls and can't wait to see who the next story will focus on. I really enjoyed that this story was more based on Sophie and Sylvain yet all of the usual characters were there plus some! I could not put this book down, I hate when I ran out of time and had to save it for later. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!!! I am definitely going to be looking for other books from this author to read ASAP!!! If you liked the first book then you will definitely love this one as well.
Supernatural Seduction is the second book in the Coffin Girls series. This book brings in more action and romance as the girls set out to rescue more kidnapped witches. While her sisters are spread out across the country, it's up to Sophie and Sylvain to find and rescue the witches. The training that Sophie has been undergoing from Arianna, a Fae under Sylvain's command, will aid her in their mission. Sophie finds herself falling for Sylvain but he is struggling with the past and fear causes their relationship to be strained. Can they overcome his past? Will they be able to rescues the witches? Read this amazing book with a surprise end to find out.
As great as I thought Coffin Girls was, this book is not just on a different level, it’s on a different planet. Despite it being months since I read the first book, I was slowly reminded of it throughout this entire book, rather than the first chapter just being a recap. Everything has developed significantly: the writing style, world building, characters and emotions that you can’t help but want to keep turning page after page. Sophie’s POV, as an empath, adds another dimension to the series, and I can’t wait to see where things are going next.
Having read the first book I SIMPLY HAD TO READ AND REVIEW THIS ONE :)
I have loved following Sophie's journey of self-learning through this book as well as catching up with the rest of the Coffin Girls. As she learn's to deal with her past, being an empath, a vampire and falling in love. I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up all the girl's, Miss Suzette and the boy's and I really enjoyed meeting Sylvain's feisty sister Verene! I really enjoyed the yo-yo relationship between Sophie and Sylvain!!! But Holy Hell what a cliff-hanger to leave it on!!!! I cannot wait to read book 3 to found out what happened to "V" So PLEASE Aneesa hurry up and write it lol
I feel almost the same about Book Two as I had about Book One. Great story and the characters grew on me. Started at a slow pace. The beginning was a little rough. As most stories are. Interesting story. Loved the characters. Intense and passionate. More character intimacy. About half way threw the story did a 360. The characters started to revolve. More suspense. More action. Had me wanting more. Then of course, that dreaded last chapter. * HAPPY TEARS* When the Book ends leaving you hanging. Not knowing what will happen next! When are we expecting Book Three?
Wow! The first book in this series was good, but this one was fantastic! All the characters we met in the first Coffin Girls book are back, but this time Sophie - the empath - takes the reins to tell her story. This book pulled me in from the start and just took off. It was exciting and romantic, and the visuals that were invoked in the writing were stunning. Also, the editing was much improved in this book over the first one. I am more than happy to rate this book 5 stars and am anxiously awaiting the third book. Fantastic!
This series does need to be read in order. Sophie and the Coffin Girls are running a school for witches and running a wedding business. But they also are the superheros that sweep in and save the day when witches are in need. I loved how strong these girls are, but more than that how they have bonded together. Sylvain, the Fae Prince, wants to take his relationship to a new level. I have to say Sophie did give her heart too easily. But I love the added romance. Great read.
Definitely chick lit. I thought it was pretty good as I read through the book even if it wasn't entirely what I'm into reading. Any woman would get into the story line and will want more. Very romantic and the sex is at the same time steamy.
