i love david and his writing. i actually read the first half of this book in 5 or 6 days, then took a long break of about a year, came back to it and finished the rest. i took this break because his writing is like the darkest of chocolates. amazing, but it's hard to take a lot of it at once! david's writing is courageous, dense and, from a visual standpoint at least, very inviting. my only complaint is that i think sometimes his writing is so dense and specific to what he's reading that it's hard for 99.9999999999999999999999% of the world to know what the fuck he's talking about. but there's a value in the too i guess.
