A galaxy-spanning empire needs people who know things. Until they know too much.
From a forced, comfortable retirement, Walt has learned that a slow-moving coup is coming to fruition and the consequences will be disastrous for billions across the myriad worlds of the Sah Empire.
As he gathers the people he can trust most to help him, he must find out who is behind the coup in order to stop it. If he can’t, too many innocents will suffer. If he can, it changes everything.
I very much enjoyed this web of galactic political intrigue. Walt meets his estranged daughter in a canteen to explain about his past and their family. Stella’s father has much more to him than meets the eye. The plot takes them away from the earth to stop the Sah empire from becoming a dictatorship. Walt’s plans embroil his family in some tense hair raising situations. He has to keep a step ahead of his enemies to protect them and achieve the outcome of his machinations. There are going to be more books in this series which I shall be looking out for.
