He's handsome, he's powerful, he's a billionaire! Mr Diamonds, an even more fascinating man than his name suggests, seduces young, pretty Amandine and introduces her to a decadent and mysterious world full of luxury, pleasure and above all, sensual and insatiable encounters...
Not the best book I've ever read! The main character 'Amandine' is pretty irritating through out, the story seems a little bit too far fetched. I won't be reading the others!
The problem here is that I have reread chapters and wondered "Did sex just happen here?" This is throughout the entire book. Disappointing when it gears you up for something hopefully impressive.
Suspense is felt as the tension plays out between them and you read the line "After our caresses," and wonder what the hell happened between "I want you so badly..." Which was the line directly above it and this abrupt and unexpected ending to the scene in a book which states in its description how you will forget Fifty Shades of Grey? Was it censored and I didn't know about it? I know it wasn't but it's questions that one might instantaneously suppose for a brief moment.
I'd like to think the author comes out of her shell more in the rest of the series to give a fuller account of the tale of these two characters.
My first read by Emma. I truely enjoyed this book very much. Love scenes were great and story line very interesting. Read book 2 and 3 - only down fall is being these were quick quick reads it easily could have been one big book.
Ok my taste have changed and I no longer find a guy treating you like nothing sexy. Classic cliffhanger ending but it was free when I picked up the four volumes... Apart from that it's ok...
The Billionaire's Desire, Volume 1 is the start of another series. Gabriel Diamonds is demanding, controlling and not a likeable billionaire. Amandine the young woman that catches his interest is immature, smart and equally unlikeable. The sex scenes are pretty vanilla, so not too exciting. Some of the dialog is witty and saves the story. It is set in France with lots of information about wine, art and scenery but not much emotion to hold the reader's interest. It has possibilities for future episodes...
What a waste of time. Don't read it Even though it's free on iBook! I can't believe I actually finished this piece of crap. Never have I ever felt so disappointed in a book. I'm sure the author has spend a great deal of time writing this story. But I feel as if she has tried to take the fifty shades story and create a new version of it, but it just didn't do it for me. I'm tempted to give book no. 2 a try since it's also free on amazon. But I need a couple of days to cool Of from this mess
This book was simply amazing I love the relationship between the too main characters it had just the right amount sexuality that I would except from these books but looking forward to more in the next books. I would recommend this book to anyone who love the type's of book it's great.
First in a series, book 1 couldn't keep my interest. I didn't really like the character of Gabriel Diamonds or Amandine Baumann. I just can't explain what it was that I didn't like it just didn't do it for me.
Out of all of the billionaire romance books this the one I enjoyed least. The story just doesn't flow. I'll probably read the next book just to see if it gets better.. I can't believe I paid for this book...
It was an ok read.... not terrific not terrible. Did not develop the story with great details but I got the point. Quick read hopefully it only gets better. On to part 2.
The book is extremely out of league. It claims to be a passionate book, however I did-not find any passion, nor did I feel any connection with the characters. It was just a book with nothing good in it.
It was a good read. I read all 12 volumes. I was am hoping that there will be more coming soon. I really want to know if Gabriel and everyone else is ok? Please don't let it end there!
