The drama continues to unfold. Is this going to be like another "Pretty Little Liars" episode? The storyline is good but keeps dragging on into the next book in series.

I'm afraid this book leaves young readers with the impression that one cannot resist sexual temptation; A'moree and her brother Sanchez, especially Sanchez, are disgusting.

Reverend Pastor Leroy Paxton of Mt. Moriah Baptist ⛪ in Hillsborough County, FL has some secrets to hide from his wife Michelle and his daughter Tayah. He is being blackmailed by Asst. Pastor Shaniece Bryant for copulation with her underage sister, Ellie. Pastor does not know that he has a 4 year old son named L.P. with said minor. So, Shaniece wants half the church earnings and hopes to destroy Leroy in the process so she can become pastor of the mega ⛪. With help from her brother Phillip who, coincidentally, is married to Tayah who really 💘z Dominic who is being stalked by his best friend Sanchez' sister, A'moree...whew. Just so much going on but it's very entertaining.

This book gets better by the chapter!
When I tell you I’m so sick of Amoree. I don’t know who is more aggravating. Her, Sheniece, Phillip, or Leroy. And Abraham did not deserve to be betrayed like that.
Poor Dominic, it’s always after it’s over, you realize you waited far too long. Look at Pastor Leroy.

Just wow
When you talk about page turner, this book gives it meaning. They were so many plot, twists and turns that I’m like whaattt? Did that happen. Have been a fan of HH Fowler for years and I will continue to be. Going on to book 3 right now.

Started this series on a whim but I enjoyed book 2 even better than book 1.
I am interested in seeing where this is all going. The cliffhanger in this one was just as great as the first one.
I really want to see where all these characters end up in book 3!

Good read. Book #2 is a great follow up to book #1 in the Church Boyz series. Suspenseful, compelling read. Looking forward to reading book #3.

I was surprised by what happened to Abraham, totally unexpected. The whole Sanchez and A’moree situation confuses me, I don’t get their motive.

This is the second book in the Church Boyz series with the first being Rod of the Wicked. The setting for this novel is in the church intertwining the lives of the Pastor and his family, Assistant Pastor and some members of the congregation who all hold personal secrets. How can you lead a congregation when you are not walking a straight line? Not known is how some secrets are connected and how they will eventually bring all the sheep in wolves clothing into the light.
I enjoyed the foundation of this book and its characters. Even though this is a fictional novel, several of the situations seem somewhat familiar to many people. Either we know someone who has gone through it, or have heard or read stories about it in the news.
The main characters are: Leroy and Michelle Paxton-Pastor and Wife, Mount Moriah Baptist Church; Shaniece Bryant, Assistant Pastor; Abraham Winder, Youth Minister and Dominic’s mentor; Tayah Paxton-Benjamin and Phillip Benjamin, Pastor’s daughter and son-in-law; and Dominic Housten, Chief Organist/Youth Auxiliary Assistant.
I could relate to some of the thoughts expressed by a few characters.
“Dominic deadpanned…. Right when Abraham was making his big announcement about the mentorship program. I couldn’t stand to hear him talk about purity and accountability when he wasn’t living any of it.” His statement said it all, I understood how disappointed and jolted Dominic felt when saw the prostitute in his mentor Abraham’s apartment.
Leroy cracked a half smile. “Accountable? To men or to God? These days, one cannot afford to divulge one’s private affairs to anyone but God. There are too many wolves in sheep clothing.” Leroy expressed how many people feel about confiding in others. They will usually take that information and use it against you.
Tayah: “Jeremiah 29:11 popped in her heart…. She didn’t need to read any further. Everything she was experiencing in her life was suddenly spoken to.” After reading certain verses from the bible, it brings a certain calm over me and my situation.
“Plus, you had Daddy to deal with….Michelle chuckled, recalling the scene. “Because you Paxton men are dangerous men. He always said that. He hammered his words into my head every day. Don’t trust that boy; he’ll lead you to the devil’s camp…” How many times had my mother or father spoke about a young man I was dating? I can totally relate to this one.
Tayah cracked a smile. “I never thought I would ever hear you quote any of grandma’s words.” “Me either,” Michelle laughed. “The older I get, the more her words make sense.” And yes, the older I get I find myself quoting some of the same quirky sayings of my mother to my daughter.

This is a wonderful series of books. I love H. H. Fowler he is an incredible author. This book was a perfect sequel it was not too slow and not too fast. Even though I have read this before I would read it again and again each time it just drags you into the world of the Paxtons. I would recommend this book to everyone I know!!!!

I am hooked on this story! I read Church Boyz II in one day! On to purchasing Church Boyz III! Great storyline. Some church folk don't need to be serving God's people, or even be in a pulpit, while other church folk have a true heart for serving God. Even still, we fall short sometimes because of our carnal nature.

this was a true page turner I'm waiting to see what Carlos found out and if Leroy can get his family back. now Dominic and Tayah need to get together and stop with the cookery. the Lord knows your heart. that woman not happy in that bogus marriage and it's time to leave before it's too late. let me grab book 3 and let HH Fowler take me on to glory

I read all three books in the series within one week! Each ending let me wanting to see what was going to happen! The strength in the Paxton family was beyond belief!

This second book is better than the first. Good story, great presentations. Easy to remember everyone and everything. Cannot wait to get started on book three!
