Decent guide of a how to build a reasonable linkedin profile. A lot of the information will be known for younger generations - things such as hashtags and '@' symbols to include others. It also won't include a lot of the features of a linkedin premium account, or some of the newer updates, but worth having if you're new to LinkedIn , or perhaps creating a uniform account for a small company
Not being a LinkedIn member, I was looking for something that would give me the basics for setting up, and for that it did the job. While some of it may seem obvious to some, I'd rather have it that way than assume knowledge I don't have. For anyone looking to start an account this will get you going.
The author has given very good tips to start building as well as updating LinkedIn profile page. What I liked best in this book is the advise to those who wish to switch over job or who are unemployed. A must read book by all persons who are already having LinkedIn account but don't update.
I'm working through the table of contents, following the instruction. Some of the stuff I already knew, but much of it I did not. This is a tremendously helpful work by Mr. Macarthy, especially if you're like me and have toyed with your LinkedIn profile for years, and then suddenly became serious about making it function properly. I ran into someone a few days ago who was hired directly from her LinkedIn profile - her new company discovered her at LinkedIn by way of the key words she used in the various sections - which is a big deal when you stop to think about it.
This book was very informative and helpful for setting up a LinkedIn account. I would recommend it to anyone interested in using LinkedIn for building a business or resume.
