In the newest book in Michael Griffo's mesmerizing Darkborn Legacy series, a small Nebraska town becomes a battleground in a fight between light and dark--and one girl must look to the stars to reclaim her life. . .
Dominy Robineau will never be just a girl again. At sixteen, a curse awakened the animal inside, and now every full moon transforms her into a creature of terrifying power. But she is not alone.
Dom's enemy, Nadine--a descendant of Orion, the Hunter--won't hesitate to kill to increase her strength. There's a new arrival in town too, and shifting alliances that will bring even more secrecy, mystery, and death to Weeping Water. Dom's relationship with her boyfriend Caleb, her connection to her best friend Jess, and everything she believes about her family and her past is about to be put to the test. The only way to keep herself and those she loves alive is to strike a bargain that may destroy the last shreds of her humanity. . .

Disclosure: I received a complimentary ecopy of this book in order to review the book. My opinions are 100% my own.
Dominy Robineau leads the charge in the battle between good and evil in the Michael Griffo's Starall (The Darborn Legacy #3). At sixteen her life changed forever when the curse cast on her fathers first born by her enemy Lupa took hold changing her from a sixteen year old girl to a werewolf. Finally, beginning to embrace her inner wolf Dominy learns her inner strength when she is forced to make difficult decisions, the kind of decisions that are far above her years.
I enjoyed this book, not having read the previous Darkborn Legacy books I did feel like there were many references to past struggles in Dominy and her friends lives. That being said the book can stand alone, with small recaps whenever a past event was introduced or referenced Michael Griffo gives a new reader enough to continue on with the story without feeling like a huge chunk is missing. As this is the conclusion of a series, I think the author did a great job of tying up loose ends, and completing the book in a way that people who are highly invested in the series will appreciate. It also has a nice in the future addition at the end that I wish all authors would include. I like many readers get emotionally invested in characters of series especially ones that you get to see grow, so when the final book ends unless all the characters die I want to know what happens to them. I really appreciated his addition I wish all authors would do so.
Starfall is the third and final book in the compelling Dark Born Legacy Series. Although we have learned in the previous books that Dominy was cursed by a vengeful witch named Luba, we have also come to see she is also blessed. She is blessed with loyal friends and family and knowing no matter the battles she faces, she will never have to do it alone. Her friends keep her balanced. Starfall mentions balance a lot and it's very imperative to the story. There have been loses and gains, curses and blessings, love and hate, friends and enemies, good and evil. Its all about balance and now that one of Dominy's enemies is threatening that balance Dominy will have to form an unholy alliance to restore it and defeat a greater evil. I have absolutely loved all of the books I have read by Michael Griffo! He creates these amazing and unique stories that keep me held captive to their pages until the very last word! Starfall does exactly this and was the perfect ending to an amazing series. I loved the future sneak peek at the end. When I get so invested in characters I like to know what happens to them! I'm so glad that was done here.
Ok so I finished this book, and it was really really really awesome! I love that in the ended every single loose end was tied up. I started from book 1 and really got to know each character. I feel like 80% of people who reviewed this book only read this one....which is why you feel somewhat disconnected. I love this author and all of his work so far! Now the only thing I didn't like was that some of the conflicts in the books were made to seem huge, and then when you find out what it is that's being led up to is really very small...that is not to say that his writing wasn't amazing! I really enjoyed this series as a whole and would recommend to anyone who loved YA and paranormal!!
"Though the curse is no longer new to her, Dominy still has trouble balancing her girl and her wolf. When her enemy, Nadine, shows up again, things only get worse. Dominy and her friends will have to stop the town's evil once and for all, even if sacrifices on all ends have to be made." Full review at Fresh Fiction: http://freshfiction.com/review.php?id...
Honestly I wanted to love this series but I just couldn’t... I felt like it was a lot of build up but than to end with no epic battle ... I don’t know it just fell flat for me.
