Well, here I am. 10 short hours after picking up this book and I’ve blown through the whole 10 year Omnibus. It’s 6:00AM and I havnt slept, the last few hours went by like a fever dream. This is an unapologetically refreshing work.
This has been one of the most offensive, deprived, darkest—if not the darkest— books I’ve ever read. But at the same time it’s one of the funniest. There’s just such a human spark to it all. We should hate the characters, revile them, turn away from them, but you find yourself sympathizing.
Aborted fetus zombies, a witch doctor doomed to take revenge on the enemies of others, A murderous snowman, child mutilation, Holocaust jokes. These are just a few of the things you’ll run into in this surreal underbelly of cartooning.
The line work is crude, but that just adds to the effect here. It’s like the love that goes into a cheap, fan-made horror movie that instantly becomes a cult classics.
If Pasziewicz didn’t make me laugh so hard, I’d be horrified.
