Their unexpected love will lead them to adventure and an unknown danger.
Though she has never laid eyes on him, flame-haired Erica of Clan Macquarie is defiantly proud that her father was a Viking Jarl. Around her neck she wears the garnet-studded raven’s pendant that he gave to her mother so long ago. Someday she will seek out her father and follow her Viking destiny.
That day comes sooner than she imagined when powerful and handsome Nordic warrior, Torin, comes ashore. An emissary of her father, Torin has come in search of the Jarl’s youngest son, “Eric,” little realizing that the son is in reality a daughter—Erica—the same beauty he has grown to love. Now he plans to take her with him to the Northland, unaware or the vengeful clansmen who will do anything—lie, cheat, disgrace, imprison or kill—to make certain Torin never leaves Alba’s shores.

I must admit that I much preferred the ebook version of this particular book in the series. The ebook version had a lot of additions and changes to the original paperback version. The heroine was not as uncaring of the hero in the first part of the book as she was in the paper version. When I read the paperback I wanted to shake some reason into her head. But I really enjoyed the new version of the story.
