This book reads more like a simplified textbook. It mostly documents Edison’s inventions and accomplishments. If you want a book about Edison’s personal life and successes, this would not be the perfect choice. However, this book does have some wonderful real pictures of Edison, his inventions, his laboratory, etc. It also has a nice glossary in the back. This book is a very quick overview so it would be good for younger readers just learning about Edison.
