To quote our heroine, Evangeline, "Gavin Belmonte was a certifiable monster. A cruel man." I should hate him as a hero. I should scream from the rooftops that this man was sick and depraved and we should never honor a hero like him. Instead he had me biting my lip and wishing he was mine. At least for a night, I'm not a complete psycho...
I think these authors really pushed the boundaries of what is acceptable for a character's behavior but it worked really well in my opinion. I liked that from the very beginning I had no idea just how far Gavin would go and the deeper he went into the dark the more I craved him. I liked Angel a lot too, she may have been innocent (not for long though) but she had a backbone and she didn't just sit back and take Gavin's behavior quietly. The tension between them made this such a fun read and will be the number one reason I re-read this book many times.
At no point in this book did I know what would happen next, and I certainly wasn't expecting that ending. And now I'm practically bouncing in my seat with excitement to get the next book. I already know there will be much more to come from these characters that will make me love their story even more than I already do. Bottom line, this is a highly recommended book!

Gaven is a gross selfish creep 😖
The tropes are listed as age gap and bdsm and I’m not a fan of either of these but I like the author so I got the books anyway. The heroine is a young 18 year old super naive virgin, and with what Gaven actually does to her the tropes really felt more like they should have been pedo abusive.
The book got better at the end. I didn’t like the sister at all but enjoyed her power play. I already have book 2 so I will carry on.

This book was so odd. The timeline of everything was incredibly weird, especially towards the ending, and for some reason I just could not stand either of the MCs.
You would think they would’ve had a bond because of what she went through at her mothers funeral with him, but the whole entire arrangement all he cares about is sex and she does a decent amount of fighting but the end kind of ruined it for me. Her saying he’s the only man she could’ve loved?…….how? I’m so confused. Did I miss it? They had spent all of what, a week together? And during that time, he punished her and tried to “mold” her as he states several times but really even their sexual encounters are extremely limited even if they did take up pages one at a time.
He has absolutely 0 feelings for her, he cares more about taking her to a sex club and making her submissive. For me, with BDSM, it has to come with aftercare and a partner who actually feels something for his submissive outside of the bedroom. I get that isn’t the case for everyone, but this man couldn’t even acknowledge her basic needs. He kept inner-monologuing how he’d make her the queen of the syndicate and give her power and blah blah when she literally tells him several times all she wants is to go to college.

I think the best part would’ve been the fact that she managed to escape him for five years as stated in the epilogue, except for the fact she was doing it in some weird way for him. He planned to use her to solidify his position as king, forcing her to give him a child, talks about how she’s his prize, fists her for her first ever sexual encounter….and she’s protecting him? 🙄🙄🤔🤔 I just can’t do dumb/naive heroines.
Honestly the spice in this book would’ve been great too had the MCs and plot been better.
Anyway. Be aware of triggers going into this book, be aware that it’s an arraigned marriage with a super dom asshole H and a sweet virgin h, left on a cliffhanger, mafia and on the short side. I hope you like it better than I did!

There’s nothing like the feeling of expecting a book to be a standalone, only to be left hanging off a cliff at the end because it’s actually part of a series… I could burst with rage or joy right now I’m still undecided of which I’m going for 😡😊
“𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙪𝙥𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧.“
I want to make a point of saying this —> not to give too much away… but if you also get that little feeling that someone may seem like one sandwich short of a psycho picnic 😱👌🏼 you’re not wrong.

That missing sandwich changed everything. I was happy, they were happy, all the foundations for the spices had been laid out, but no, it all went up in smoke because of a different hunger… literal hunger.
Wrong choices were made.

I will however enjoy those wrong choices in book two, because even unintentional actions have consequences, and Gaven is the type of man to punish his wife for her mistakes regardless of what defence she has 😉 he’s been a patient man, and I can only imagine what ideas he’s come up with during his long wait 😮💨🔥

I had the privilege to ARC read for this amazing book. I love mafia romance books and this one was no different. Absolutely loved it. It does end on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait till book two.
So we have Angel who is a mafia princess but she just wants to have a normal life whereas her sister wants the mafia life. The two already don’t get along and then Gavin enters the equation. Their father needs someone to take over and marry one of his daughters so he can retire. Well Angel is the chosen one and is not happy about it. She gives Gaven a run for his money but what she doesn’t realize is Gaven is a very powerful man. In and out of the bedroom😏 Angel ends up making a deal with Gaven and things are starting to look great but then… we’ll you’ll have to read it to find out😘 Enjoy Gaven and Angel’s start.

Wow…I am still reeling from the ending. I think the twist had some foreshadowing, but I did not expect it to play out that like that. Also the epilogue…the way my jaw dropped. I was not expecting that.
Wicked Angel follows Evangeline (Angel) and Gavin. Angel is forced to marry Gavin in order for Gavin to take over as head of the family and for them to produce an heir.
I felt all the feels while reading this. 😩🥵😡🤬🥵🥰🤬🤬🤬🤬

⤏ Characters & Romance
Angel is a shy girl not cut out for the mafia life, but her family ties keep her in danger's crosshairs. She firmly believes she can have a regular life if only her father hadn't forced her into an arranged marriage. Despite her naivety, she possesses a fiery attitude that intrigues Gaven.
Gaven is possessive, controlling, and power-obsessed, which usually doesn't bother me, but it made it difficult to warm up to him. Although I've encountered similar characters before, what sets him apart is the complete disregard for consent. The heroine's lack of consent troubled me deeply. She repeatedly told him "no," asked him to stop touching her, or to leave her alone, but he blatantly ignored her wishes, because "he always gets what he wants". It made it really hard for me to fully enjoy their story.
The authors used the excuse of "my body betrayed me"/"it still felt good," but I'm not really on board with that. He only looks to mold her, to make her the perfect "doll" for him.
I think I could've overlooked all these if there was at least a little chemistry between them, or if the girl desired what he offered her ...

Gaven is possessive, controlling, and power-obsessed, which usually doesn't bother me, but it made it difficult to warm up to him. Although I've encountered similar characters before, what sets him apart is the complete disregard for consent. The heroine's lack of consent troubled me deeply. She repeatedly told him "no," asked him to stop touching her, or to leave her alone, but he blatantly ignored her wishes, because "he always gets what he wants". It made it really hard for me to fully enjoy their story.
The authors used the excuse of "my body betrayed me"/"it still felt good," but I'm not really on board with that. He only looks to mold her, to make her the perfect "doll" for him.
I think I could've overlooked all these if there was at least a little chemistry between them, or if the girl desired what he offered her ...

This is an arranged marriage Mafia romance, where the heroine is fighting the marriage. Angelina (Angel) does not want to become a Mafia wife. She has plans to attend college and escape the mafia lifestyle. However, her father needs to step down and needs to select someone to marry one of his daughters and take over.
Gaven is a hitman who has worked his way up within the mafia. He is chosen to take over, and he picks Angel to be his future wife. She fights this decision, but Gaven is ruthless and goes for what he wants. He gives major alpha, OTT, and possessive vibes. I really liked Angel's character. She was innocent, but not annoyingly so. She spoke up and fought back, Gaven is just very persuasive and powerful.
I thought this was a sexy and fun Mafia read, but I think I rated it lower than 5 stars since I didn't realize it was either a duet or part of the series. That mistake is probably on me, but I was expecting a standalone.
It didn't have much of a romance because this is an introduction to this couple. Just be prepared for a cliffhanger.
This is a pretty spicy romance. Just make sure to check your triggers. This had BDSM, spanking, bandage, degradation, and fisting. The fisting scene just was not for me.
I think the twist occurred a little late at the end. It was in the final 2 chapters. I also figured out the twist and reveal earlier in the book. I am definitely going to continue reading this series, especially with that cliffhanger.

I'm only halfway through the audiobook and have to DNF this. I love dark books but the way this is written just bothers me. MMC keeps saying he will take care of her but then has all the qualities of a fake dom. There is nothing to actually attract them together. FMC randomly jumps back and forth between liking him and not.
The first real spicy scene with her "punishment" has me wondering if the authors know literally anything about what they are writing about. The neck tie that was used around her throat to tie her to the headboard kept tightening so much and was described as "cutting into her" and "was going to make her pass out, she was so light headed" but yet she had no problem talking the whole time. She had quite the range of movement despite having her calves tied to her thighs. No reaction to having nipple clamps removed after complaining how much they hurt to have them on? She should have noticed how much more it hurt when the blood came back to them. Then you got the fisting itself.... Of a virgin.... With very little prep, and her being in excruciating pain the entire time, as if that couldn't have caused real damage to her. She passed out at the end of it and all he did was wipe her down and tell her her dues have been paid.

Gaven Belmonte, look up the definition of anti-hero in the dictionary and you’ll see his name. In this twisted and wickedly suspenseful tale hitman Gaven is offered the keys to the kingdom if he marries one of mob boss Rafaello Price’s daughters and takes his place as heir of the Price criminal syndicate. One look at a photo of youngest daughter Evangeline (Angel) and he instantly wanted to dirty her up as he felt something cruel twist in his guts and a sinister craving he hadn’t felt in far too long.” At this point I wanted to scream run Angel as far and as fast you can but he’d find her no matter where she ran. His dominant nature wanted a bride he could control and he saw that in his angel. That’s when I knew Wicked Angel was going to be a deliciously dark and decadent read and all the trigger warnings it came with were well deserved. Some parts were a little too heavy for me, I’m not a huge fan of degradation or humiliation in any relationship and the fisting was a bit much considering the heroine here was an inexperience virgin but as it turned out Evangeline might’ve been innocent but she wasn’t weak. All she wanted was a chance at a normal life but that was never in her future. While not the easiest book to read, this book sucked me in from the start and since it ends on a cliff hanger I’ll be stalking these authors for details of the next book.

Mafia marriage of convenience? Yes please!!! Gaven is involved in the Price mafia family, but when there are no sons to take over, Gaven is given his choice of the daughters to marry and become the King in this castle. When choosing, Gaven picks Evangeline “Angel” as his bride. However, getting Angel to agree is going to be a struggle for Gaven. Angel wants freedom from this Mafia family she’s been born into and she’s willing to do almost anything to get it.
This book had me hooked!! The cliffhanger we were left with is enough to make my jaw drop and anxiously await the next book! The spice between Gaven and Angel is electric and JUST when it’s starting to get sooooooo good, the book ends. I need more like now! Definitely going to be on the hunt for the next book since I need to know what happens next!

Wicked Angel is the first book in the new Sinister Arrangement series and tells the story of Evangeline ‘Angel’ Price, a Mafia princess, and Gaven Belamonte, the man chosen to be the boss of the Price Family Syndicate. WOW! the story is captivating and intriguing from the outset, an absolutely fabulous read that had me riveted from start to finish! It's full of darkness and all things considered wrong but I couldn't stop reading. If that's not a sign of a great book I don't know what is!
If you like dark and delicious, enemies to lovers, Mafia romance that includes forced marriage, age-gap and BDSM, then this book is a definite must read! A well deserved 5 stars from me. A fantastic start to the series and I can’t wait for the next instalment. Ends on a nail biting cliffhanger!.

He picks Angel cause she's more innocent of the two. The older one is pretty intense and has been horrible to Angel her whole life just being a bully and trying to torment her.
After her mother died he tried to shelter Angel from his world but now she's thrust fully into it.
Huge age gap, arranged marriage, mutual attraction. These two are 🔥 together even though she fights it the whole time cause she thought she was about to make her way out then gets permanently stuck.
But some devious twists shake everything up at the end. Need the next book!

Wicked Angel is hands down one of the best Mafia arranged marriage books I have ever read. This book had me hooked from the begging and I could not put it down. It was deliciously dark and spicy and I DEVOURED it! That ending almost had me in tears because I did not want it to end. I can’t wait for book two!!!

I've recently discovered this author through the sick boys series and her writing completely grips me every single time.This book is a dark mafia, arranged marriage, age gap romance with touch her and die vibes that you will not be able to put down.
Angel is a mafia princess and she does not want to be part of the mafia world and is hoping she can do everything that she has planned. But her father has other ideas.
Gaven is a scary, ruthless man that always gets what he wants. When he chooses Angel to be his wife she fights him every step of the way. I love how possessive he is and how powerful he is and with Angel he is always willing to get what he wants.
Reading this book will keep you on your toes and with all the twists and turns you will not be able to see what's coming and it will keep you on the edge of your seat, hooked. This book has spice, dark moments and is enemies to lovers and I absolutely loved reading it and these characters were written fantastically.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series because this ended on a cliffhanger and it will leave you desperate for more. This is a must read book.

Did not like the Hero. He is nasty and a sexual abuser. Fisting a virgin because she ran away since she did not want to marry you? He comes across as cold, abusive and at times deranged. It was very hard to finish reading this book. The forced BDSM came across as very abusive. Will not continue with this series.

I really did enjoy our FMC Angel, while she came off as sweet and innocent, she did have a fire in her and she wasn’t as insufferable as some other FMC’s I’ve read in this category that just bitch and complain the whole time 🙃
Gavin? Now that is a man who takes what he WANTS 🥵 and I was here for it.
Now for some things I wasn’t SUPER fond of….😬
1. If breeding kinks are not your thing, I suggest skipping this book cause it was very well known how badly Gavin wanted to put a baby in our FMC a for me personally in a mafia setting I’m fine with it but I know for some it’s a make or break kinda thing

I wasn’t aware that SA could be normalized just because it’s a dark romance… I’m actually scared that women are writing these types of books and romanticizing forcing a woman to have sex with a powerful man just because he thinks he can.
She ran way from him and the punishment he found for her was to insert his WHOLE fist in her vagina with her being a virgin and constantly asking him to stop, like?????? Who the fuck writes shit like that and finds it okay????
In books with CNC I have no problem (because of the previous CONSENT) but when is just a woman being harmed because the male finds it his right? It’s disgusting and evil and it truly disgusts me that it was not one, but 2 women who wrote it.
Dark romance DOES NOT give you the right to write SA between the main couple and romanticize it like it’s fine and cool. It’s not.
I’m definitely not reading the other book, not after the reviews I saw and found out that man only gets worse. Really good writing for such a disgusting content, what a loss.

This was my first mafia book and I wasn’t disappointed. Some of the kinks were new to me and a little disturbing but I did thoroughly enjoy the book! I’m grateful for the author agency to provide an arc for me to read.
