It was an interesting storyline and captured my attention for about half the book but then I realized it was going in a direction I didn't care for. It was recommended by a co-worker who worked with the author. The writing was third person omniscient which is difficult to follow and the dialogue was unrealistic. I finished the book because I had already invested so much time into it but was left unsatisfied at the end. Sadly, the author did not go on to write the sequel.

If you liked The Divinci Code you might like the storyline in this one but do not expect the professional writing.

It is a decent book. It was given to me free of charge by my stepmother, whose brother wrote the novel. It is worth the read, but from a dispassionate point of view I have to say that there is not much fodder for the analytical literary mind here. It is a straightforward story, and while you may not see the ending come from miles away, you may not be interested in finishing if the plotline does not already draw you in before you start.
