About the author

Gosho Aoyama (青山剛昌) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the creator of the manga series Detective Conan (known in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom as Case Closed).

Aoyama made his debut as a manga artist with the work Chotto Matte which was published in the weekly magazine Shōnen Sunday on winter of 1987. Shortly after that, another work by Aoyama, Magic Kaito, was published on the same magazine.

The first case - Black Organization vs FBI was nail-biting. Gin suspected Mouri and if not for Shuichi Akai, who's clearly a genius, it would have led to a disastrous outcome. I wonder what's up with Rena (Kir) and Vermouth. They seemed to give Conan an upper hand.

The second case - the missing classmate - had me in a suspicious mood throughout because of the previous case. But it turned out to be a normal case with a sweet ending.

The third case - the locked car case - turned out to be more amusing than mysterious because of the introduction of Eisuke Hondou. His clumsiness added to a lot of the hilarity that ensued.

Casorganización ("el FBI patrocina este espacio"): una buena historia de la trama principal. Por supuesto, no llega al nivel del enfrentamiento del tomo 42, que unía múltiples tramas construidas a lo largo de varios casos y años en tiempo real. Dicho esto, la verdad es que es muy disfrutable. Hay que perdonarle muchas casualidades, que abundan en este caso hasta el punto de insertar meteorología arbitraria para hacer funcionar la trama, pero tampoco es que destruya la experiencia. Se siente cierta tensión con Mouri y Akai se corona como el putísimo crack que todos conocemos, además de que, por fin, Aoyama deja atrás cualquier caso estándar para rendirse a la trama principal. Nada de casos aleatorios, personajes metidos con calzador o elementos usuales de esta serie; tan solo una buena historia de combate entre el FBI (más o menos) y la Organización. Su ritmo es más que adecuado, logra que en muy pocos capítulos pasen bastantes cosas y las deducciones de Conan entran en el territorio de lo verosímil una vez piensas que, efectivamente, solo la Organización sería capaz de esconder tanto una pista con el objetivo de evitar desciframientos ajenos. El problema es que todo el mundo en esta serie hace este tipo de acertijos, pero me cuesta poco perdonárselo.

Caso Al Menos Hay Gatos: de nuevo, una vuelta extrañísima a la normalidad que no se conecta con apenas nada de la trama principal. Se insinúa la llegada de Eisuke, pero nada remarcable en este caso concreto. Por lo demás, es un caso estándar que no se pasa de complicado ni confía en demasiadas casualidades. Es ameno, sencillo y muy tranquilo, lo suficiente como para relajarse de la tensión del caso anterior. Repito que me habría gustado algo más de conexión con la historia principal, pero tampoco le voy a pedir mucho a un caso así de disfrutable.

Caso 50 Maneras de Cortar Con tu Novia: otro caso bastante bueno. Lo mantiene todo simple, creíble y con un solo sospechoso y asesino. No confía en excesivas casualidades, cosa que siempre se agradece para naturalizar el guion. El método de asesinato es bastante imaginativo y lo del celo es bastante la hostia. Tan solo tiene algún problema de ejecución; nada que me parezca lo suficientemente negativo como para sacar al caso de lo notable. Sin recordar un pimiento del guion, o Aoyama no esconde muy bien sus pistas principales o lo de Eisuke pareciendo familiar de Rena es un red herring del copón. Visto lo que sucedió con Vermouth y Jodie, apuesto lo que sea a que el parentesco es real. Eisuke tiene su punto gracioso que de vez en cuando roza lo insoportable, pero qué ganas de que se revele que es del FBI (mínimo) para ver cómo contrasta con su personalidad pública.

Pues eso, un tomo más que recomendable. No solo vuelve a la trama principal con bastante fuerza, sino que también brinda un par de buenos casos más afines a los de los tomos 30s que a los sufridos últimos. Eso solo merece el redondeo hacia arriba en mi puntuación. Veremos si se mantiene el nivel y, sobre todo, si Aoyama no alarga demasiado la trama llegados a este punto.

Always exciting when the FBI and Men in Black encounter each other. The thought bubbles throughout the last few chapters of this volume also made for a lot of great laughs.

This volume starts off with the team using the bug that Detective Conan placed to help them stop a would be assassination! The story is very intriguing and a page turner (in my opinion). The thing about this volume that to me makes it feel extra special is unlike the usual cases…these seem to bleed into each other. One doesn’t see the exact ending and beginning (at least on my first read through it is not as clear)…but that’s not a bad thing and it’s a credit to both the story and art to seamlessly keep the story going…or at least feel that way. The second story involves the Junior Detectives and no murder…but a missing kid. Love the fact that it wasn’t a murder and like these sprinkled into the series. The third story continues the thread and lightly circles back to the first story of the volume. It is a murder mystery (set up to look like a suicide) which also includes a very unlucky character who hopes to gain some luck from Sleeping Moore since he can solve cases in his sleep. This “gift” must mean he is blessed by God. This volume concludes in a great way which leaves this volume without a cliffhanger….which is always a preference of mine.

1. The chase begins!! We are introduced to more members of the black org whom are: Kir Chianti and Korn; notice that most members names hold alcohol drink names.
2. I feel like Vermouth is like on Conan’s side.
3. When Conan broke the sprinkles to avoid the assassination of the political guy; smart move 👌 also thank god it rained.
4. Okay the cute FBI sniper is Akai so remember it ! Omg I’m in love.
5. So when Vodka found the transmitter I was like HOLY SHIT!!!!
6. If Conan didn’t kick the ball through the window, Mouri would’ve been dead! Those black org ain’t messin’ but we gotta risk it for the biscuit.
7. SO AKAI AND VODKA ARE ENEMIES! I’m in love w both of them so let hell break loose!
8. The black org will still be eyeing togo Mouri so yeeeeep!

This is like hell of the development for the plot! I’m all happy.

Tập đánh dấu khởi đầu của Kir arc, một trong những nhân vật mình rất yêu thích.

Điểm mạnh của Conan thời điểm này nằm ở chỗ từng vụ án nhỏ lẻ mặc dù không có mối liên hệ trực tiếp nào đến vụ án chính nhưng đều có những thông tin nho nhỏ kết nối với tổ chức Áo Đen (sự quay trở lại của Araide, bài hát dẫn đến ông trùm, ...).

Phần giới thiệu nhân vật Kir cũng rất là xuất sắc, kèm theo đó trong tập này là màn truy đuổi gay cấn giữa FBI và tổ chức Áo Đen, với Gin xém nữa là bắn thủng đầu bác Mori (đọc những đoạn kiểu này là mình cắn móng tay cho xơ xác luôn =))). Akai cũng xuất hiện bao ngầu và ảnh hoàn toàn xứng đáng với cái danh viên đạn bạc, nhắm đâu trúng đó. Kết thúc tập với sự xuất hiện bí ẩn của Hondo Eisuke và hứa hẹn là cậu bé này có liên quan đến cốt truyện chính.

Un bon tome, empreint de la présence de l'Organisation. La confrontation MIB vs FBI est vraiment une intrigue que j'adore, malgré qu'elle soit sous-cotée. Elle est remplie de moments iconiques et de tension, et le climax sur le toit, Gin vs Akai, est délicieux.
Les deux autres affaires se distinguent moins et sont plus classiques, mais elles introduisent de nouvelles craintes pour Haibara et Conan, ainsi qu'un infâme personnage : Eisuke Hondo (connard homophobe!)

As mentioned above, I am going to write a proper review for this soon, but I have a few books ahead of this one in the queue, so I cannot stop reading DC NOW! That's sacrilege. I have decided to read all the chapters available up to now (we are almost to 1000!) As you can see, I am totally fangirling over here and I don't care, because this is one of my favorite manga series, ever! But all of this aside, there are a few things I wanted to list so I don't need to go back and look everything up when I do finally sit down and write my fangirl review. ✌🏻

Personal Opinion:
#1, I never call this CASE CLOSED. If you do, you're not a true fan of this series, so don't even bother reading my review or my personal opinions. I'm sorry if I offend you, but you offended me first by telling me you want to read CASE CLOSED or you just love Jimmy.

#2, as you can tell by #1, I read this online. I would never waste my money buying a manga series in english that cannot get the name correct and mess up the main characters to make it appear more "ENGLISH." I am so happy I don't run a blog and this isn't a review on Sailor Moon, #1, because I have a huge soap box tirade against DiC. I also don't think there is anything against reading something online. Comics, which is what manga are, are meant to be read and shared and sometimes paying over $10 is too much in my opinion. Plus, I read the newest chapters as soon as they are released from Japan, because I would never miss a release of DC. So this is my personal shout out to you translators from me, Thank You!

~ Sambungan jilid 48, Conan dan FBI mengejar Rena dan Organisasi Hitam bagi menghentikan misi mereka membunuh calon wakil rakyat. Misi Organisasi Hitam berjaya dihalang tapi mereka mengubah misi mereka untuk membunuh Mouri setelah Gin terjumpa alat curi dengar Conan. Tembakan jarak jauh dari Shuichi Akai berjaya menghentikan niat Gin. Kehadiran Shuichi Akai telah membuatkan jantung ini berdegup kencang 😍💗!

~ Kumpulan Detektif Muda menyiasat kehilangan kawan Mitsuhiko. Conan dan Haibara menyangka dia diculik oleh Organisasi Hitam kerana personaliti budak itu mirip Haibara. Rupanya budak tu kemalangan saja. Akhir babak, Ran bercerita tentang kehadiran murid baru dalam kelasnya yang mirip Rena, tapi Conan pula ketiduran, apakah...?

~ Budak yang dikatakan mirip Rena tu sebenarnya hanyalah budak lelaki yang bernasib malang, namanya Hondo Eisuke. Eisuke berpeluang mengikut penyiasat sendirian kegemarannya, Mouri mencari teman wanita pelanggannya. Setelah mereka jumpa kereta yang dipandu wanita berkenaan, mereka mendapati dia telah mati. Deduksi awal mengatakan dia bunuh diri tapi sebenarnya dia dibunuh oleh teman lelakinya.

Detektif conan seri ini seru dan menegangkan karena conan pada akhirnya bertemu lagi dengan anggota organisasi hitam. Rena Mizunashi yang berprofesi sebagai seorang reporter tv terungkap identitasnya sebagai anggota black organization dengan kode nama KIR.
Conan yang secara tidak sengaja menangkap percakapan Kir dengan Gin melalui penyadap yang menempel di sepatu Kir, terlibat petualangan seru menyelamatkan seorang elit pemerintah dari incaran black organization.
keseruan apalagi yang akan terjadi? akan lebih seru lagi kah? akankah conan akan bertemu dengan Gin atau pimpinan black organization? ikuti terus yukk..

Continuing the Black Organization intrigue, they are planning to assassinate a politician and Conan must stop them without revealing himself, with the help of Jodie and the rest of the FBI. Next, Gin finds a tracker from Rena's shoe and assumes it is Mouri's, so the organization plans on assassinating him! Then, a girl from their school goes missing, so the Detective League set out to find her. Next, a class mate of Ran's (Eisuke) wants to witness the Sleeping Korogo, so he accompanies them on a case where a woman is sealed in a car with a charcoal cooker in an apparent suicide, but Conan knows this is a murder. But how?

Der 49. Band der Reihe wartet mit der zweiten Hälfte des im vorherigen Bandes begonnenen Falles auf. Hier heißt es: Conan bzw. FBI gegen die Männer in Schwarz. Natürlich ist es dadurch mal wieder besonders spannend und man hat das Gefühl, die Geschichte geht wieder ein Stück vorwärts. Auch die weiteren Fälle mit dem neuen Lehrer als auch der letzte Fall sind recht spannend. Einziger Störfaktor: Der neue Charakter, der gleichzeitig ein neuer Mitschüler bei Ran ist. Uff... also, was soll denn das? Mir gefällt er bisher gar nicht. Keine Konkurrenz für KID, Heiji und Shinichi ;)

Satu-satunya komik Conan yang kagak gue beli di Gramedia, melainkan di Indomart hahahaha. Tapi tetep original dong.

Di volume 49 inilah identitas Rena Mizunashi terbongkar bahwa dia adalah anggota Jubah Hitam. Terus Rena terlibat dalam rencana pembunuhan calon walikota gitu. Di sini juga pertama kali Eisuke Hondo muncul. Terus kalo ga salah ada kasus pembunuhan tertutup dengan arang di mobil.
