Told from the Secret Service point of view.
Banks is a great guy. His growth and ability to let others in. Wow.
And we read more about Ruby and Etienne, and Ruby and Dexter. And Sunday and her daughters.
I’m completely invested in these people.

Banks! What’s not to love? Thank you for enlightening as to his inner thoughts, flaws and hopes, Ms. Taylor.
I love that the author is progressing the bigger plot of the series through the detailed relations of each of the main characters, including Etienne (whom I’d still really love a reason to hate.)
I want to be friends with Sunday and Ruby - thank you for creating them as respectable, classy women I can admire!

Probably her best book yet. This one runs neck-and-neck with Roberto Pancake. While not at all the same type of book still amazing. Easily the story is wonderful. Story plot and writing are soooo good.

Grammar and punctuation are serious topics for me. I could barely finish this book because the errors were so distracting. Following are two examples.
Page 40: "[b]ut Ruby has been very forthcoming with me, and she knows that avoiding the big topics are, in a way, the same as acknowledging that they exist." Arrrggghhhh! This should have read: ...she knows that avoiding the big topics IS .... The word "topics" is not the subject in this complex sentence. The writer is a college-educated high school teacher, probably with secondary credentials, so I can only assume that this is the error of an editor (who should also know better).
Later, on page 53, Ruby takes note that Julien "is the spitting image of Jack." The correct expression is "spit and image" coined in 1859. Again, probably an error or oversight on the part of the editor.
The book was so riddled with grammar and punctuation errors that I became more annoyed with each chapter. I won't be reading any more books by this author.
By contrast, look at Pat Conroy, whose writing was so beautiful that sometimes I just went back and re-read a paragraph for the sheer pleasure.

shipwreck key book four
I love the focus on Banks! It was great to see his character develop and hear what he is thinking and wondering. Great job in developing him into a person.

Good story
Funny and light about a serious subjects. Marriage, friendship, parenting, finding love and forgiveness. This is book 4 could be read alone but better in the series. Enjoyable reading.

Banks and Sunday are wonderful together, and it is a treasure to us, the readers, to see this develop. Banks also has a very special relationship built over the years with the First Lady, after his years of service, I was not ready for this book to end......once again. I do love Stephanie's writing!
