Addicted to Him

Rate this book
I never knew you could get addicted to people….until I met Seth.

I just wanted to escape. I had a huge secret and I was trying to run away from it as fast as I could. I managed to get myself shipped a thousand miles away for the summer to my estranged father and perky new stepmother’s house. Nobody knew me there and that’s the way I liked it. I didn’t have to be the screwed-up girl with the terrible secret anymore; I could be anybody I wanted to be.

Being sequestered at Dad’s house turned out to be amazing. I started wondering if somehow I could convince him to keep me forever and then I might have a shot at a normal life for a change. Enter hot, mysterious, moody Seth and my desire to become a permanent resident of Colorado just quadrupled.

I had never met anyone like Seth. I trusted him more than I had ever trusted anyone. I craved his lips, his body, and his touch. It didn’t take long for me to become totally addicted to him. The way he could get my body to respond was incredible. Before long I was spilling every dark secret I had to him never dreaming that he would someday use that knowledge against me.

I should have known my fairy tale wouldn’t last forever. Secrets that I prayed would never see the light of day were soon exposed, changing my life forever. I couldn’t run anymore. I had to decide if I wanted to stay the same girl who never fights for herself, or try to find the strength inside myself to live the life I knew I had always deserved.

The first half was okay.. The other half not so.

What I like:

►Thank God there is no .

What I didn't like:

► Cassidy's secret isn't really a secret and I don't get why no one in this book guessed it.

► That stunt she pulled in her school... She doesn't even get punished for it. Really?

► Her best friend betrays her and at the end we don't even know if they are okay with each other or not.

► Seth being sometimes sweet and caring and than being a total ass.

► Cassidy forgiving Seth (everytime).
One scene really didn't make any sense to me. Yeah....Right...

► What Cassidy can't forgive.

► The abrupt ending. So many things that go unanswered.

So.....hmmmmm...well.....I just don't know what to say.

This review has spoilers......

First of all I would give this overall book 2.5 stars.

I just don't get it, I read it but I don't get it..

Here's the rundown:

Cassidy (a high school senior) has a verbally abusive and very lazy mother, she is also getting felt up by her stepdad at the same time. She has to care for her 8 year old half brother because her lazy mother would not. She dyed her hair black and turned herself into a goth chick, because she thinks will stop Step-dad's advances. She gets fed up, pulls a stunt and is sent to Colorado to live with her dad and Step mom. They are the nicest sweetest people in the world. Her dad hooks her up with a guy from a local burger shop, Seth. Seth turns out to be Satan and instead of leaving a bad situation for a better one, she finds herself in a physically and verbally abusive relationship. She hides this from her parents and continues to see Seth and her parents encourage the relationship and the sex the two of them are having. The only thing that made her break it off was she found out he was cheating on her and she leaves him. The end...

It was written well, I just didn't like how the abuse was handled and swept under the rug, and her last straw was the cheating and not him choking and slapping her.....

I just didn't really care for this one and it left me feeling like this..

I loved this book in the beginning. Once Cassidy met Seth and became adjusted in her new home and her new life everything falls apart again. It was very hard for me to grasp how such a sweet guy who helps run the family business and takes care of his siblings and mom could turn into such a monster so quickly. Instead of taking the opportunity to maybe focus on bipolar disorder (assuming that was his diagnosis) the book quickly focused on violence and cheating.
What drove me crazy was Cassidy's acceptance of him telling her parents her big secret and justifying it saying if things were reversed she would tell his too. Why didn't she go see his family and warn his mother of what he was doing to possibly protect his siblings.

I think the end was abrupt and really didn't explore the depths this story could have taken. It was very well written and really sucked me in but I was just thoroughly disappointed in Seth's character development and although I understand every character can't have a HEA this one sure would have been better with one. Violence is never okay in relationships and the fact that Cassidy was willing to put up with being hit but not being cheated on just killed it for me. Unfortunately this went quickly from a 4 star read to just a 2.

I really enjoyed the begining of this book and then a plot twist had me contemplating not finishing BUT I pushed through and honestly hated it. SPOILER COMING: I was so baffled and angry that Seth went from one extreme to the next without an explanation from the author, other than he wasnt taking his medication?... How a girl who had such a violent reaction to being come on to by her stepfather (and rightfully so) that she couldn't stand to be touched by any male in her life all of a sudden instantly falls madly in love and allows herself to be physically and mentally abused with NO reaction is totally unbelievable. I also had issues with how her father handled the news of her stepdads sexual advances..... a skype. REALLY. WTF??? No one offered this girl therapy or help of any kind and Im not a doctor but I dont think retail therapy is a heal all.
2 Stars was a stretch for me, if I hadnt been intrigued at the begining I would have not finished it. Sorry :(

I dont really do to many reviews but this book wasnt that great. It started out being a really good sad story and then when she met Seth it was fine and nice. All of a sudden he gets possive and all this stuff and then smacks her and asks her to marry him and she says yes?? Really!! It was just trying to finish that was hard. She catches him cheating and then has sex with him still and then still wants him even though she broke up with him and then she gets with someone else and it ends on there date.. No glad it was free but its not worth the read...

Wow!!! This book was so much more than I expected. It really brought up a lot of past emotions that I have not thought about in a really long time.
Lauren Dodd did a really good job of making me feel everything that Cassidy was feeling. And although at times I did not agree with a lot of what Cassidy was thinking or decisions she was making Lauren Dodd was able to really make me see the growth that Cassidy was making. Before I get ahead of myself let's start with what this book is all about.

Cassidy is an 18 year old who goes to live with her father the summer before her senior year. We quickly learn that Cassidy's home life is not ideal. She lives with her little brother; who she adores and who she basically takes care of, mom, and step-dad. Right away it is hinted at that Cassidy is not comfortable with her step-dad. Something has happened there which is why she must find a way to get out of the house if only for the summer. But Cassidy is not very close to her father at all. And suffice it to say the last time she even saw or heard from her dad was when she was 13. Staying with him for a summer can't be as bad as her home life. Right?!

So now Cassidy is at her dads house with his wife. Within her first few days here she meets and falls in love with Seth. Seth can tell that someone has hurt her (she shows no affection to any male. Not even her dad. When they met at the airport she couldn't even embrace him in a hug) and he is willing to take things slowly. Cassidy has feelings for Seth she thought were long gone. Seth helps her heal in ways she did not think possible. Cassidy is now starting to realize that just because something bad has happened to you, and has at times made you think that you could never be the same again, you are not dead inside. Seth is the first guy who has sparked any emotion in her that is not fear. Because of this Cassidy has now become addicted to Seth. She has to be with him all of the time. At first I felt like it was all happening too fast. Cassidy quickly went from one extreme (men don't touch me) to the other (I have to have Seth morning, noon, and night). But as I'm reading I came to understand Cassidy. All of her life she has never felt loved or wanted. Her mother verbally abuses her, her step-dad is a molester, and her father (in her eyes) has abandoned her. She has never felt welcomed into her new family. She knows that her little brothers grandparents do not consider her their granddaughter. (Sidenote: I totally related to Cassidy in this one aspect of her life. As a young girl I too never felt quite like part of the step family. Do you know how many years it took to get a Christmas present?! And as a young girl you don't know why you are not involved. It's confusing and heartbreaking and it's never explained to you. As I got older I tried to not let it bother me so much. They weren't my family, right? But with this book somehow I was reliving all of these emotions I have long since forgotten as an adult.) But dispite all of this Seth begins to heal her and bring her back to life.

In the beginning of her relationship with Seth everything is wonderful. He is so kind to her. And although he knows someone hurt her he does not pressure her for the truth. He allows Cassidy the time and freedom to heal on her own. He really is super sweet to her. But as the relationship progresses (quickly) and Cassidy tells him her secret Seth changes. Minor changes at first. But then we quickly see that Seth is not the super sweet guy we all thought he was. Instead he turns into the worst kind of guy. A physical abuser. In a state of jealousy he slaps Cassidy. And because of Cassidy's history with abuse by her mom and step-dad she is quick to forgive him. This frustated me to no end only because I am personally sickened by anyone who would abuse anyone else. And I was brought up to know how a man should and shouldn't treat me. But after taking a step back and really thinking about it I realized that Cassidy never had that. In fact she had the complete opposite. Her mom practically makes her feel unwanted. And I have never felt unwanted or unloved by mom or dad. So I can give Cassidy a little latitude here. She's never experianced otherwise. Only now she is dealing with a bipolar boyfriend. One minute as sweet as can be and in the next total aggression. He's now shouting at her and making her feel like it is her that makes him this act this way or that old faithful, "having a bad day at work" excuse.
The one really good thing I will say about Seth is that he is continuously telling Cassidy that she has to let her dad know about the abuse back home. In the beginning it is simply so that she doesn't have to go back to the hell she was in before. But as they get deeper into their relationship he wants her to tell her dad so she could stay here with him.
But Cassidy's relationship with Seth now goes from bad to worse. More abuse. Extreme abuse. And still she forgives him. And yet still Cassidy is starting to realize that she deserves better. That she is better. And no matter what excuse Seth may have he is still a bad man. He has no redeemable qualities and it is his last act towards Cassidy that finally opens her eyes.

Did this book have the HEA ending I was expecting? No. Did it have the absolute right ending? Yes.

Ahhh I loved this!

It was kind of sketchy how much of this story mirrored my own! I found myself checking my house for hidden cameras ;] just kidding.
Anyways, the relationship, if you can even call it that, Cassidy and her mother have is pretty much exactly how mine was as well. I can definitely relate to Cassidy in more ways than one! Again, creepy ;]

So Cassidy has been living with a terrible secret for the past 18ish months and it casts a dark shadow that follows her everywhere. She has done everything she could possibly do to try and escape, but nothing has worked.
She is 18 and used to be the girl who cared about her looks. Her closet was once filled with brightly colored dresses and outfits. But that was back when she was able to smile. Now her closet is darkened with over sized black clothes that don't fit and she died her once golden brown hair dark dark black.
She lives at home with her younger brother, her stepfather, and her barely there mother. She has had to take over the responsibilities of taking care of her brother since her mother is "too busy".
Cassidy's father left her when she was 5 and she has barely seen him since. She is convinced that he wanted nothing to do with her, considering she was conceived through a one night stand.
Despite her lacking relationship with her father, she decides to spend her summer in Colorado with him. It was her last ditch effort to try and escape the Hell she lives in.

She never expected to find what she was missing when in Colorado. Being there, she realizes things aren't always as they seem and she refuses to hide behind all of the dark clothes. Her life may just be looking up for once....Maybe..

After reading some of the reviews for this book where people gave it 3 or less stars, I felt that I needed to add my own two cents, so to speak. After I finished the book (which I had a very hard time putting down), I gave it 4 stars when prompted by my E-reader. Afterwards, I realized that I was a little quick with my rating. Having finished it a few hours ago, I find myself still thinking about it and the knot is still in my stomach because I became so emotionally involved in the story. Having a book make me feel so involved in the story and for the characters, really deserves FIVE stars from me. Yes, in the romance genre, it was definitely not a "feel good" story, but not all stories need to be in order to touch something in you. I realize that this story is not a happy-go-lucky kind of story but it was so very well written by Lauren Dodd that she just sucked me in and made me care about everyone (well not Chastity or Phil) in the book. In the grand scheme of things, in romance writing, it didn't really have the "happy ending" everyone might have been rooting for, but it did have a happy ending. I believe that Cassidy got her happy ending, not only that, but a whole lot of life experience to get her to that point. Well done Lauren Dodd. I will definitely be looking for more from this author in the future.

Cassidy goes to spend the summer with her father, she lives with her dreadful mother and awful step father.. And she has a BIG secret, that she has never told another person, until Seth..

Seth is good looking, he falls for Cassidy fast, and he sticks on her until she agrees to go out with him.. he is perfect...

Until he isn't. He tells her secret. Which was not as horrible as I thought it would be when they book started, I was expecting the audience to be a bit different than it was..

He is great until he has his mood swings and become abusive, and I held out hope he would pop a few pills and be decent..

Cassidy's dad and Lisa are amazing, and she is blessed to have them..

I know this ended.. No possibility of more, but it would almost be good if the author made another book a year down the line to see if Seth had left her alone and how she was dealing with everything..

Not gonna happen, but it was a good book..

Not epic.. So 2 stars.

I had a really hard time with this.

I was back and forth on it the whole time.

Cassidy's secret wasn't exactly what we were led to believe, although I was hoping it wasn't true.

And in rides Seth (white knight on a horse)... huh? Not so much.

Cassidy basically goes from one bad situation to another. Her only saving grace is her dad and stepmom, which she doesn't confide in and she really needs to.

I understand having a bad head-space. But to constantly make bad decision after bad decision after bad decision... ugh. I just don't know.

And then the ending. I don't get it. I mean I know you have to move on with your life and all, but this girl moves too fast, especially someone with the issues she supposedly has.

And then there are all the unanswered questions I have regarding Seth and this walk-of-shame chick. Not to mention, the "villains" never get any type of punishment for there actions and that pisses me off.

This book has left me confused and mad all at the same time. I can't believe that Cassidy put up with everything she did at her mom's house, and then again with Seth!

And really, the girl is 18, says so quiet a few times in the book, how is it that she has to ask permission to go anywhere, or to live with her dad? Just because she is still in school? Nope, or at least not in any state that I have lived in.

Her mom's verbal and mental abuse was almost enough to make me stop reading, as I really don't like books that focus on things like this, then add in the abuse from her stepfather and I had to force myself to keep reading.

I did however take a break from the book when it came about that Seth, the one I was rooting for, turns out to be even more abusive than both the mother and stepfather. And Cassidy kept going back to him! Gah, I need a sweet love story now!

After reading the first 85% of this book, I was giving it 5 stars. After finishing the book, I wanted to give it 3 stars. So, I'll compromise and give it 4 stars. I think it was a very well-written book and had me obsessed reading it. It seemed like it was going to be another fantastic love story, but it is more about a young girl growing up and overcoming the crap life has dealt her. Obviously, I wish the ending were different but overall it was a great book.

This book was free on Amazon and the cover grabbed my attention so I decided to download it and give it a try. Overall Addicted to Him was not a bad read at all. I enjoyed the story and had quite the emotional ride reading it. It starts off a bit slow but once Cassie and Seth meet, the book really picked up.

Cassie has a really bad home life and I don't blame her for finding a way to get out. Her character was interesting but I found her to be a bit of a conundrum, on one hand she's 18 years old and behaves like it, reacting irrationally and thinking she's unlovable, but on the other she's engrossed in a very adult sexual world. I was quite disappointed with her behaviour when it came to Seth, to be honest I do think it has a lot to do with her age, so I let it slide, but it got to the point where I kept thinking she's a bit of a moron, someone who will be in abusive relationships her whole life. I also have to say that the sex got a bit much, they were having sex like crazed lunatics all over the place and at times it felt a lot more like intense lust then love. It started off sexy and great, but then became very much dirty and aggressive, which fits perfectly with the story so it does have it's purpose.

When the book started I really liked Seth, he was a real gentleman and I loved the way he was with his brother and sister. But as the book progressed I really didn't like him. His possessiveness and aggression was over the top, but I think that's what Dodd was going for. She wants you to fall in love with him as Cassie does, and then when he behaves like a lunatic, you're ripped apart.

There was a lot of emotion in this book and I was all ready to give it a very enthusiastic 4.5 stars, at one point I felt so broken from reading about Cassie's abusive life, I had to curl up in my man's lap and cry. The truth is until about 80% I really couldn't put it down, but then Seth and Cassie started irritating me and I kept waiting for something great to happen. I almost wanted the emotion to peek to a point where I would be destroyed for a week. But, alas, the ending just fell flat and didn't give me that wow that I wanted. One other thing that annoyed me was that she leaves a lot in the air, what is wrong with Seth? Is he bipolar?

I also have to note that the reason this book would have still only gotten half a star less is because Dodd did one of my writing no-no's, a real pet peeve of mine - she neglected the contraction. I supposes as a radio writer I'm very used to writing the way people speak but I just can't stand when people write old school. Don't say "it is really nice to meet you", say "it's really nice to meet you" the sentence works better and in my opinion is easier to read, it's more natural - see what I did there? :P

This is not your typical happy clappy romance, but there is a good ending.

Cassidy comes from an unhappy broken home. Her father left when she was young and she has hardly seen him since she was twelve (she is now eighteen). Her mother is a total bitch to her, purely because she is jealous of how her daughter is blossoming. This also leads to her step father taking an unhealthy interest in Cassidy, so much so she has changed her whole persona over the last two years, going from a vibrant and beautiful girl into a shell of her former self. She has lost weight to lose her curves and dyed her hair black to fade her into the background. However this still does not stop the unwanted attention and her fear is escalating and she therefore takes drastic action which results in her Mother sending her to live with her father and his new wife in Colorado for the summer.

It is here that Cassidy finds herself again, she cannot believe that she is wanted by her father and his wife. It becomes apparent almost from day one that they want her to stay and live with them but due to Cassidy’s insecurities she cannot let herself believe that this is true. It isn't until she meets Seth that she learns to let go and start to believe there is light at the end of the tunnel and that she can find herself again and be happy with her father and his wife. But most of all she can be happy with Seth.

The relationship with Cassidy and Seth starts innocently and builds to a deep and passionate romance. But then Seth starts to get possessive and his behaviour totally opposite to how he used to be. In the end has Cassidy exchanged one form of abuse for another and which one is the worst?

I found this story to be extremely enthralling but at the same time I didn't want to read some parts and some parts I found so frustrating. But then I had to remember this was an eighteen year old and an immature one at that. I did want her to find her happiness but I was quite shocked at some of the things Cassidy put up with. It was lovely to see her developing relationship with her father, Martin and his wife Lisa and how it illustrated bridges can be re-established and relationships prosper that were previously thought to be irrevocable.

I was quite taken aback at some of the scenes with Seth and wondered how the hell the author could turn this around as it appeared this was a total cluster feck waiting to happen. But in the end I actually liked how it ended and that this book did not follow a ‘writing-by-numbers’ premise.

Overall a wonderfully written piece, if not the usual romance path but one that was very thought provoking and delivers a strong message to not put up with abuse, no matter what form that may take.

I must say that I suspected this book to be about tough issues, but I didn’t think it’d tackle so many at once.

The first thing that I should point out it that I really like how the author used these awful issues in her story and it truly got to me, but I think she used too many at once to the point that it left me feeling like things should have been more treated, as if some stuffs find a too fast resolution when it should have taken longer to better feel for Cassidy.

Don’t get me wrong, I truly love Cassidy’s character and her strength is undeniable, but I couldn’t feel completely everything because of all the things happening in the second half of the book. The first half was quite slow even if it really helps me to figure out the dynamic of Cassidy’s life, but then the second half was so intense that it’s almost as if I had to take a step back to read the book or else it would have been overwhelming and not in a good way.

So yes, the whole thing with Cassidy’s family or even with Seth is, in my opinion, not explored at its fullest and it’s really sad because it could have been a master piece in the genre.

Also, what I like is that it’s not a common love story. It’s more than that, which explains why I’m also so demanding. There’s something to be said about stories that tackle such subjects. You always expect a lot. When it’s just a simple love story or comedy romance, you don’t have the same expectations because you’re not waiting to have your emotions all over the place to the point that you can’t think about anything else but the characters and the plot. Here, it didn’t happen to me.

But the writing style flows well as it is not a surprise when it comes to this author. The dialogues are quite well built and blend well with the descriptive parts. Maybe, sometimes, I’d have loved it if the writing would have been more harsh, scorching in the difficult parts, but I’m being picky. It’s really a matter of personal taste, so don’t mind me.

All in all, it’s a good book with interesting characters and with a great message conveyed by a strong main character. I just expected more than I’m left feeling now that I closed my kindle app.

Who read this book? What do you think about Cassidy? And Cassidy and Seth’s relationship? Or her mother and step-dad? There’s a lot to say!

There have already been a lot of reviews of this book posted giving both positive and negative comments and containing synopsis and spoilers that I am not going to go down that route.

This book is contains many powerful messages and, for some readers, could invoke flashbacks to similar situations in their own lives, which it did for me, but what I feel it doesn't do is portray the young female character as weak.

Cassidy is only 18 and yet has already experienced so much negativity in her life from the adults around her who should have been cherishing and protecting her but instead have subjected her to abuse on many levels. Given the opportunity to spend the summer away she goes to stay with her birth father and meets a guy, Seth, that she falls hook, line and sinker for.

Whilst the relationship gives her the strength to tell her father and step-mother about the hell she had been living through Seth has issues of his own and Cassidy appears to be swapping one kind of abuse for another. But her newly found self-confidence and the non-judgemental love that she receives from her family allows her to realise that she no longer has to accept that kind of life and she breaks free.

As I said previously, in my opinion at least, this book contains a very powerful message and that is, that it is never ok to accept any kind of abuse or allow another person to make you feel as if they have the power and that you have to accept they way they wish to treat you as being acceptable.

This is a book that I would have happily given my daughter when she was a teenager and then sat and discussed it with her afterwards, as it highlights so many different forms of abuse that young girls, unfortunately, will allow themselves to be subjected to because they lack a ability to seek help and advice.

--Read my full review of the book at seriesousbookreviews.com! Spoiler Free!

This book has everything that I feel define New Adult reads. It has a cute romance with flawed characters that somehow find and complete each other. Add a dash of heat and the bad boy hero and there you have it in one neat package.

Except that this book went down a path I think this genre often neglects: which is when the relationship passes the border of unhealthy and how the characters deal with it.

As much as I love the New Adult genre (and I've said this before) I sometimes worry about readers getting the impression that these dramatic relationships are the everyday norm and it is completely healthy--because it really isn't.

Which is why I liked this book because it actually tackled the issue about what a healthy relationship is and I really appreciated that it went in that direction. Not a lot of books do or would in this genre so I thought it was very refreshing that it did this in a realistic way.

For some reason I thought I had already read this book and reviewed it. I opened it on my kindle and started reading it again because I could not remember what this story was about. I kept reading and reading and guess what? I still had not read this book.
Anyway... I enjoyed reading this story. I hated the fact that some parents take their children for granted and treat their children bad for their choices made by them the parents.
This book is about a girl that grows up with her mother after a relationship gone bad. Anyway the mother is a witch to her daughter and treats her horrible.
The girl (Cassidy) goes to her dads after getting in trouble at school. The mom sends Cassidy away because she thinks she did her job by getting in Cassidys head to hate her dad. But it was Cassidy's plan all along. She needed a break from the abuse she was dealing with at home.
Cassidy is insecure about herself and has a secret that is really affecting her. She starts finding herself while visiting her dad. She meets a guy and again finds herself in a situation that she can't get out of.
I enjoyed reading this story... it has the kind of drama that I like. Read it and find out the struggles that Cassidy is going through at such a young age.

While I liked most of the book, some of it just didn't sit well with me. It was a different path that the author took than most young romance books take. Like, character has issues, meets intense boy/girl, get together, trouble happens, things work out and happy ever after for the couple. This one wasn't quite like that and it was different and a bit tough to read about at times. I could feel the sadness for Cassidy and what she was dealing with in her life. Loved her step mom though!!Lot of good came out of the change of scenery for Cassidy. Loved the connection she had with Seth and was happy to see her find someone who was there for her and would protect her. When things changed, I almost wanted to cry. I was in shock that those things were happening to her. It didn't seem right but then it makes sense on what the author wanted for the story. It became more of what was best for Cassidy and how she could see that she was worth so much more and could be happy. I just felt the ending ended too fast and almost like there could be a sequel but there wasn't any hint if there was one coming or not.

I enjoyed this book as it made me feel a full range of emotions. The characters of Cassidy and Seth were 'full on' from the first time they met. I'm assuming, like most addictions, that strong emotional feelings such as love can make you blind and loose all judgement. Most of the book was really good, I was just a little let down a the end. Did Cassidy actually end up with her soulmate or should there be another book to get her there? I think there's a sequel somewhere here (I'm hoping).

3.5 stars

Lets start with the good:

It was free on Amazon!

I felt like I was reading a made for lifetime movie. And that is a great thing. I freaking love lifetime!

I didn't love the beginning, but by 50% I was hooked. And the last 4-5 chapters I couldn't/ wouldn't stop reading, short of a life threatening emergency.

I had thought the story good, but predictable until those last few chapters, I kept reading with a feeling of Dred mounting with every page. I had no clue what direction the author would take, and I feared all of them.

The story line itself was probably a good solid 4- 4.5, but some editing issues distracted from the story, although only slightly.

Also I felt like the ending could have been expanded.

Wow, just Wow. That was an emotional roller coaster for sure! I am not really sure if I want to rate this a 3.5 or a 4 star. There were definitely a couple points in this book where I thought I was going to have to rate it a 1 star. The author almost lost me but in the end was able to pull me back. The cycle of abuse she finally broke was what really won me over in the end. I was so scared she was going to stay in that terrible situation like she deserved to be there that I almost didn't like this book at all but was pleasantly surprised to see how much she grew by the time the book ended. I think the last few pages were what really pulled it all together and made me happy I stuck through all the crazy and abuse for Cassidy's wonderful revelation about how she wants to live her life and her clear movements toward starting a better life looking out for herself and loving herself. All in all it was a wonderful book, just took me a bit to get there! :) Well done.

Also, free on amazon right now. Go grab it.
