what a great book!!

If you started reading this series you’re in luck. This book is so well written and told it left me stunned. Deep thoughts as Ruby goes through the diaries of the dead President. Man -oh-man what a story. It made me laugh, cry and sigh.

Knocked it out of the park!!!

How???
How did you, I can’t even get the thoughts to settle and sort…
How did you write from so many people’s perspectives? Those journals absolutely blew me away.
The details, the songs, the beautiful, beautifully imperfect humans…
IF YOU HAVE NEVER READ STEPHANIE TAYLOR, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!
She writes fantastic series, about beautiful, real perfectly imperfect people, her series are unbelievable, all the characters reappear in all the books…they are magical!!
And…available on kindle unlimited!!
Give her a try!!!

Great inner conflict here- a change for this series!
I really enjoyed how the author was able to work backwards and give the reader insight into what drove this man to his living a second life. Not an easy task, but Taylor did it beautifully!

I had to stop reading this one a few times. Ruby is reading her husband’s journals, and one of the first entries she reads about is when he begins his affair with his bestie’s little sister. Hello wounds, meet salt.

But we also learn of Ruby’s resilience. She is amazing.

2 more books, then I must leave Shipwreck Key.

I loved this book. I have read all of her books and this one is definitely the one showing her ability to add depth to a story. I loved how she backtracked the story of her husband and was able to face her own issues as well as his.

touched

This one touched and made me cry often. Life sucks at times but we somehow get through it and looking back be proud we did but yet amazed that we did. Plus this book is now real life with our current presidency…. Well worth the read

Rudy comes to peace with her life

Book six primarily focused on Rudy’s life, before, during and after Jack. It was interesting but it my favorite in the series. I look forward to the next book.

The story is good but the narration of a virtual voice (dubbed or canned) takes away of the enjoyment of the story.

One of the most enjoyable series of books I've ever read, I highly recommend. Interesting characters, and not just the recently widowed former First Lady who has recently learned of the president's second family. This one was particularly good, and presented the story from the president's side through his journals.

The prose is well done, and the characters are well developed. Really enjoyable "chick lit".
