Money People Deal: The Fastest Way to Real Estate Wealth

Rate this book
For centuries, entrepreneurs have taken resources from different sources and have assembled them to create higher value. Great entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Henry Ford and Donald Trump have all understood very clearly how to assemble Money, People and Deals together. The intellectual value that these men brought to their ventures was so great that they built their businesses by using none of their own money; this is the skill of the entrepreneur and the fastest way to wealth. Stefan Aarnio is one of Canada’s leading up and coming Real Estate Entrepreneurs and the 2012 winner of Canadian Real Estate Wealth Magazine’s “Joint Venture Partner of the Year”. Starting with only $1200, Stefan has built a multi million dollar portfolio for his partners and has earned himself a spot on The Self Made List. Stefan has accumulated properties at an alarming pace through his understanding of Real Estate Joint Ventures - The Fastest Way to Real Estate Wealth. Stefan’s philosophy is simple, find great deals, build a fantastic team, pay everybody and create partnerships for life. In his book, Money People Deal, Stefan reveals the secrets he used to build his multi million dollar portfolio by using none of his own money.

Stefan book is practical and I enjoyed his easy open minded style. He's a winner and I love meeting winners. He's a student who's wise enough to realize he's not the whole ball game and employs leverage with cash time and strategic deal partners.

Things my ear picked up on:

It's better to sell one 1k hot dog then one thousand 1 dollar hot dogs
Too often we want to own everything entirely by our self. So many investors and entrepreneurs are happier to own a single grape then half a watermelon.
Those who fail to pay for success rarely see it
War is business and business is war
Joint venture money
Time is the only currency in life
All wealth originates in the mind
All I want is all you are
A wide arsenal of credit cards
In business or real estate we always run out of money
In stocks insider information is illegal in real estate it's essential
People with money know people with money
Earn cash and brand equity
Protect money and it will protect you
Focus brings clarity to the mind
Pressure makes diamonds but it can also crush people
Failure is the essence of life
Life becomes very easy when we can find ways to win from failure especially when we can monetize these situations
Law of certainty
Certain things done in a certain way will achieve certain results certainly
The best deals are created not bought
Real estate is broken into markets submarkets and specific city blocks
Recession what recession where I come from there's always a recession the recession is a middle class problem not one for the rich or the poor
I became trapped by my own labor
In your business are you focusing on singles or home runs? Why have you chosen this strategy? Can you recover if you strike out?
The difference between the rich and the poor is how we invest our time
Poor people spend their time to save money rich people spend their money to save time
Succeeded mightily

Excellent

Stephan provides a very interesting perspective on real estate investing. Not only does he talk about the financial side of REI he also addresses the philosophical aspects.

Lays out a straight forward formula. Short and sweet. Another great perspective on a Canadian self made case study.
