A historic international space mission explodes with crimes and crises after scientists, engaged in a moon-mining expedition, receive information from outer space about how to reverse the aging process. Corporate espionage, murders, political assassinations, and finally, the threat of a new Cold War follow a revolutionary message on the human genome from mysterious and possibly demonic beings from another dimension. U.S. Representative Scott Andrews begins to doubt the motives of these "benign" messengers and suspects that they harbor designs of biblical proportions against the entire earth. This political/sci-fi/spiritual thriller pulls the reader onto a roller-coaster plot, with twists and turns through cutting-edge space and energy technology, genetic manipulation, back-room political machinations, and international intrigue on the highest levels.

This takes at the Kennedy space center. Then the thrust of the story takes place in outer space at a space station. Out world is running out of energy. They have come up with a way to reach a new energy source and that is on the moon. The space program connects with others around the world and several go up together to tape into this source. The struggles that occur while in space are suspenseful and life threatening. Interesting story it makes you think about the space race and what people want to do with the moon and/or any other planet we go to.

A Quickie Review

A literally astronomical thriller, Moongate has plenty of espionage and intensity. However, one of the plot points--which I won't give away here--might be too much for some readers to swallow. Also, the ending seems to leave some plot threads unresolved. Still, for what it is, it's moderately enjoyable, and those who enjoyed the Sandra Bullock blockbuster Gravity--not that I have seen or will ever see it--might find this to be in a similar vein.
