Rate this book
Regan Keller fell in love with a wealthy and powerful man once. He was her boss. When that turbulent relationship ended, she swore she’d never again date someone she worked with. That was before she literally fell into her new boss’s lap.

Zachary Benson is the head of a successful empire and used to getting what he wants in the boardroom and outside of it – and what he wants is Regan Keller. He’s determined to convince Regan that even though he’s her boss, they can share a life together.

This is my first book by this author and a freebie offered for my Kindle. The writing flows very well and the element of the unknown in this story kept me reading until the end.

It is a typical romance of boss and secretary falling in love, but with a twist. Regan Keller has sworn off any future office romance. It’s been nearly a year since she suffered the horrible devastation from loving her previous boss. It’s obvious she still feels the emotional burden and rightly so! When sexy, filthy rich, new boss Zach Benson finds himself falling in love with her, she flounders. But with his patience, she soon finds herself giving in to the feelings she has for him. But…she still cannot bring herself to confide in him. She is afraid that when he learns of her past, he will walk away.

Zach Benson is the head of a very successful corporation. He is committed to excellence as he continues in the family business of developing real estate. He falls hard for Regan Keller and wants it all with her; marriage, children and a lifetime together. But still she is holding back from opening her heart completely to him. He doesn’t know any of the details from her past relationship, only that she was hurt terribly and that her family is very protective of her.

I liked both the hero and heroine but never felt the chemistry between these two. I think this is what kept me from loving them. I somehow didn’t feel invested in their romance; therefore, the connection was never made. And while I understand Regan’s issues, my sympathy soon turned to irritation. I felt her keeping this secret dragged on too long and was hoping for a resolution much sooner than near the end. I would have liked to see this couple sharing and dealing with this openly and honestly, possibly bringing them closer together and giving the much needed emotional depth.

This small story deals with many major issues in life.

Three major life issues packed into one small book. That is a lot to cover. I wished the author could have given more time to these subjects as they each bring along a huge cast of emotions that I felt were missing. The horrific crime that was committed against Regan is devastating. What was done to her by her ex is beyond forgiveness and the resulting choices she had to make are utterly unforgiveable! I felt this situation was not resolved in a way I could comprehend or like. For me, it needed resolving. While there is a sweet gesture on Zach’s part at the end, I just needed more!

One of the strongest elements here is the excellent job Ms. Marie did in letting us get to know each of their families. I came to love all of them and am glad to see each will get their own book in future installments. She gives an excerpt at the end that reads more like an epilogue that I loved. It begins three years after the ending of Regan & Zach’s story. I liked catching up on their news and seeing both of them very happy. The next book will be Carlos Keller and his ex-wife Madeline’s story. They have three children and Carlos has never been able to move forward until now. Six months after their divorce, Madeline married his best friend. Now, this marriage is dissolving as they both realize it was more comfort than love that drew them together. With the divorce papers served, Madeline discovers the horrible news that she has breast cancer. I will definitely give this one a try and am looking forward to seeing if Carlos & Madeline can rekindle their battered relationship.

The Executive's Decision is a terrific book and a great beginning to a wonderful series. I have become addicted to the Keller and Benson family after reading Zack Benson and Regan Keller's love story. Regan falls for Zach on the bus, that is on his lap, on her way in to her first day of work. Unknown to her, Zach is her new boss and when she finds out, she tries to put a halt to any developing relationship between them, albeit unsuccessfully, since Zach is one determined man to get the woman he has fallen for. Regan is rightfully wary to get involved in another office romance due to her painful past with another boss that turned deadly, but Zach's romantic, tender side slowly chips away at the barrier around her heart. It was a beautifully written story that was romantic with a touch of suspense that hooked me in from the first page. All the characters were well developed and I felt as if I knew them. I loved the friendships and family interactions portrayed in this book that had me smiling and crying. Looking forward to reading Carlos Keller's story in A Second Chance.

This book annoyed the shit out of me. Aside from the massive amount of editing errors, the heroine was such a self-centered wimp that I felt the hero deserved better.

Regan never once thought about how her behavior and duplicity made Zach feel. She acknowledges numerous times - to herself and her family - that she's lying to him, pushing him away, and/or running away from him. But she never feels it necessary to come clean and be honest with this person she supposedly loves. So when and how the truth was revealed was obviously out of her hands and it was a disaster that she didn't deal with, but ran from. It was such bullshit and it was predictable. Zach was an attractive person, not just physically, but the author never presented anything positive about Regan. She likes kids and she's a good assistant? That's it? She was pretty stupid and made bad decisions. She doubted herself so often that I wondered how she could event attempt a relationship. And she is always the victim. I don't even get that because Zach would obviously need a strong woman, not a doormat. Why did she earn Zach's affections? What the hell is so great about this woman? Nothing.

The editing errors were things like missing or extra words, usually something minor like an extra "to". Misplaced commas - or were they extra commas? Whatever. There were a handful that I remember off the top of my head and I'm not smart enough to catch all of them, so there have to be more.

This story really fell flat for me because I liked the premise I read before downloading it (for free from Amazon). It would have been better fleshed out with less worrying and duplicity on Regan's part and more suspense.

*shrugs* It was just okay. I wouldn't recommend it because I just don't care about it.

Read for Smutathon round 5- 2020 challenge!

Square- Workplace Romance

A classic boss and new secretary to his office love story with main characters Zach and Regan. At first, I thought the story would be rather cute. Instead, lots of unexpected plot twists happened. I did feel for Regan throughout, as she tried to work out her true feelings for Zach. Some of the interactions at times felt a little forced, as well as the struggling character connections. Short and quick to read however!

I will admit that I got this book free off of Amazon and boy am I glad that I did. I just another author that I probably would not have read. I have bought the second book in this series and plan on buying the others. The family dynamics of both the Keller and Benson are real and at times hilarious.

Regan Keller is an executive assistant that made one bad decision that nearly cost her own life. Moving back from Hawaii to heal and to be around her family has helped her move on with her life in some ways but she is still very leary around men, especially her new boss. Good looking, rich and saying all the right things to her, she believes that he will end up treating her the same way her old boss did.

Zach Benson is a driven man in his work and has never truly been in love before Regan. Once he meets her, he is instantly smitten. (Trust me, how they meet is priceless) He is a patient man when it comes to Regan and her emotions regarding men but knows that she is hiding something from him.

I adored this book from the first page and sighed when it ended. This book has everything that I want in a book. Passion, humor, a hero and heroine that I connected with from the start and the secondary characters are richly drawn and enhance the story not overtake it. While there is smexy in this book, it is sensually written and loving.

The family dynamics are nicely written, too. Not overpowering but you can feel the love that they have for one another. I can't wait to read the stories about the other Keller siblings. Don't miss the opening chapter of Carlos's book after Regan and Zach's story. I instantly went and bought his book and look forward to reading it.

Don't miss out on this beautifully written love story about a woman finding herself again through the love of man that regardless of what happened to her, will always love her.

I thought this was a great read. I was pulled into the book in the first scene and was hooked until the end. You know sort of know what will happen in the end (it is a romance, of course you know) but you weren't sure how it would get there. Bernadette did a great job with the characters in the book from the hero and heroine to the family members and employees. The plot moved along very nicely and I really enjoyed all of the characters (except for the evil Alexander)! I was getting angry at Regan because I wanted her to open up to Zach so bad. I guess that is the benefit of third person that we as readers get to see. We know how they both think.

The intimate scenes were written very well and appropriate for the characters and the book. I thought Zach did a wonderful job of romancing Regan - especially in the end! Readers will love all the elements in this book which include humor, family, romance, love, passion, betrayal, and honesty. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Loved it! A romantic, sweet read. I will definitely be reading more of Bernadette Marie’s books.

Normally when you fall into a stranger's lap, you regret it, but um...let's just say what a perfect way to start a book. I agree with not dating coworkers, but I think in Zach's case, I would have had to make an exception. What a wonderful man! Hardworking, sexy, sweet...I had better stop there. This is a must read for anyone who has had complications with previous relationships in the past and thought there was no way to trust again.

It was an ok book especially if you consider that it's free. There were a lot of typos that were pretty distracting. I only really liked the main male character.

I took another delve into the B&N free book collection, and resurfaced with another cheesy romance novel. By the cover, I had guessed it would be a romance with forays into the porn underworld (you know, they have clothes on, so it's obviously more romance than sex). I was correct in this assumption, so I was not shocked when it was a horribly clichéd romance story.

Regan just regained her momentum for life after having leaving a horrible, abusive relationship that nearly killed her behind. She was an executive's assistant, and fell in love with her boss, and it ended up badly. Then, she goes and becomes another's executive's assistant and falls in love again.

You'd think there are two ways this could go at this point. Either the new guy is going to be horribly abusive and she loves it (porn option), or he's a complete gentleman (romance option). As you know, this is a romance book, so the new boss, Zach, turns out to be quite a gentleman and a hunk.

Can you guess what happens? Regan pushes Zach away because she's scare. She's a great assistant, does her job well and professionally. They fall in love, they have sex all over the place (and often), but she won't tell him what happened in her past because she feels sullied. And, she has this notion that if Prince Charming found out what a dick the former guy was, he would leave her for being broken. I'm not sure I get that, but that's what makes this so Lifetime TV worthy.

Now that we have the desperately in love gentleman and overly dramatic heroine in place, you have to have The Ex come on stage left, throw her around a little, and then she runs away. Prince Charming, of course, has two options: pick a fight or run after her. He chooses to run after her.

Seriously. Tell me you saw it coming.

3.5* for a rags to riches styled romance

I really wanted to like this book, and in many ways, I did right up until the halfway point. The main lead isn't exactly poverty ridden, but she's lower classed than the male lead, who falls in love with his new assistant from the start.

What I really liked about this book was how damaged the heroine was, but how she grew through the start of the book to the middle. I liked her character--and his, too. I was willing to go ahead with both of them until it became pretty repetitive. The heroine's plight is so pervasive it has no room for other issues to come into play. If there had been more issues for this couple to face, I think I would have been on board a lot more after the midway point. I finished the book, and it had a solid ending, but between the repetitive nature and he issues I list below, I had a hard time enjoying the second half of the title.

As for what prevented me from enjoying this title from start to finish: the book is plagued with formatting and editorial issues that just took away from the story on a whole. There are sentences that don't make sense (it looks like the author was in process of editing and got distracted, maybe?) there are no scene breaks when there should be, so one paragraph will be from her perspective and then it will jump to the other perspective at a completely different location or tone without any cues this is happening, which is really jarring.

With an editing pass to fix those issues, this would be a 4* book for me. I did like both characters, especially Zach, who is just a nice guy. Flawed in ways, but a genuinely nice guy.

This has the makings of a good feel good romance, with characters easy to like. Wanted to like this book so much more than I did.

Second Read Through: Still 3.5*. I really wanted to like it, but the lack of scene breaks and other editing issues took away from the story too much. If the editing issues / formatting issues went away, I'd definitely mark this up to 4*.

This has been my first read for this author and I've got to say...I enjoyed her. For my fellow book gossipers out there..I couldn't find any misspelled words. However, there were a few lines that did not flow as well as they could have, due to missing words. BUT...Bernadette showed fantastic story development. I was left anticipating the next story and after reading the first chapter...I know that I won't be disappointed. Now, if you're looking for me to give you spoilers..you won't find them here. I don't do spoilers!! It's my opinion, that each readers should experience the story for themselves. SO READ THE BOOK!! =)

Bernadette wrote a great story and beginning to a series that will have you falling for the characters hook, line and sinker. She wrote in such a way that I felt their hesitation, their joy and their pain. Great job Bernadette!! I look forward to Carlos and Madeline's story....even though the book costs $4.99. Which I usually DO NOT spend on my books....so to all my book gossipers out there....for me to be willing to spend the money...then you know it's worth reading! Truly though, this is a story that needs experiencing.

HAPPY READING EVERYONE!! =)

I loved reading this book it was so good... I felt so much compassion towards Regan and why she would not bring herself to fall in Love with her Boss. Zach was such a understanding man taking his time to gain her trust and love is honorable. I read this book in a day and i cant wait to read the next Keller Book..

Zachary is a very successful businessman who is used to getting what he wants. So, when he sets his eyes on Regan, he won't back down. It is definitely not going to be like a normal boardroom deal. Is he up for the challenge?
Regan has a past that is keeping her from trusting any man. The man she loved committed a horrible crime against her, so she is wary when Zach starts making his move. Can she open herself up again or will she let her past determine her future?
I think the thing I loved most about this book was watching Regan grow. She went through such a traumatic experience that could have beat her down forever. Watching her grow into her new confidence was great to read. This is a series I will definitely continue reading.

Vikki’s Musings

While browsing for contemporary romances, I came upon this book. Since the book was free and offered the audio version for $1.99, I immediately downloaded both. I barely looked at the book description because how could I go wrong with a deal like that. I am so glad I found this fantastic book!
Regan Keller is starting a new job. Her car has broken down, and she has to take the bus. When she can’t find a seat, she’s forced to stand. The bus jolts to a sudden stop and she ends up in the lap of a gorgeous man. While she’s very cautious of men after a horrific experience with her last boyfriend, she doesn’t feel threatened by the stranger. When he asks her to meet him at a hot dog stand for lunch, she impulsively agrees.

Zachary Benson is CEO of Benson, Benson and Hart. What Regan doesn’t know, it’s her new boss’ lap she’s sitting in. When she later discovers her charming stranger is the man she’s working for, she refuses to consider a relationship with him that’s not work-related.

Can Zach break through the thick wall protecting Regan’s heart, or will the demons of her past keep her from letting him in?

I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging tale of love. The story is fast paced and kept me entertained from the first scene to the last. I really wanted couple to find their happy ending. The story line is compelling and the characters are well-developed.

Regan’s character is actually quite complex. In the beginning I thought Ms. Marie was giving more information about her past than normal and I wondered if it was too much, but as the story unfolds, it soon became apparent that was just the tip of the iceberg. As I got further in the story and learned what had actually happened to her, it brought a few tears to my eyes. No wonder she was so mistrusting of men.

Zachary is a much more forthcoming character. He doesn’t have any hidden agendas, other than attending boarding school as a young child. He’s driven to succeed as CEO of the firm his grandfather and father started. He really didn’t have time to have a relationship, or so he thought. When he’s immediately captivated by Regan, he turns his drive toward capturing her heart. I loved how protective he is and his patience with Regan, giving her the time she needed to open up to him.

Now, I listened to the audio version. I’ll admit at the beginning I didn’t care for the narrator. Most of time her voice tone remains the same from one character to another, but the story is so engrossing that by the end I grew used to the narration. While Gale Cruz isn’t the type of narrator I normally enjoy, her reading doesn’t intrude on my reading enjoyment, so by the end I barely noticed the lack of variation in her voice tone.

I highly recommend The Executive’s Decision, and I’m glad I took a chance on this book. It’s a riveting story that I found very enthralling. I’m sure you will enjoy this book as much as I did. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series. Happy reading!

This was another freebie that I really really liked. The way the hero and heroine met was a little unbelievable in the beginning so I wasn't sure how the book was going to keep me interested, but it did and I was routing for Regan and Zach every step of the way. Zach wasn't the typical alpha billionaire that I've been reading in so many books. Was he rich? Yes. Hot? Well, kinda. I just couldn't picture what he looked like for some reason, but I'm sure he was hot. Was he an alpha? Hmmm, not really, but he was willing to fight for Regan and their HEA. He was very down to earth- eating at hot dog stands and having picnics, which was a nice change from the typical rich guy taking the heroine to some fancy restaurant trying to impress her. He even occasionally rode the bus! Reagan did everything in her power to avoid falling in love with Zach after recovering from a brutal relationship that cost her everything, but he made her realize she was strong, capable and deserved to be loved and he wasn't shy about expressing his feelings for her either. I did feel the conflict with Regan's past was kind of skimmed over and wasn't resolved. It could have brought more conflict to the story, but since the series continues with other members of the Keller family, I'm assuming Reagan's ex will make another appearance to resolve her past. I will definitely read the next book in this series.

A little too predictable.

2 years ago Regan Kellar fell in love and began a relationship with her boss but it ended tragically with her in the hospital and her family fabricating her and their child's death for their safety. Now she's starting a new job and her boss is showing interest in her but she is extremely hesitant (with good reason). This story follows her journey to healing, trusting and beginning a new relationship with him. Zach Benson (her boss) was a little overwhelming. His pursuit of her was constant and he was sounding more like a petulant child than a man. When he eventually gets his way and they begin a relationship, he's overly patient with her. She is extremely closed off and keeps everything a secret from him until certain things happen and then she tells him some of the story. She should have told him the WHOLE story because things always have a way of coming out anyway!
But I'm NOT complaining....it was a FREE download! I did still enjoyed it. It was a sweet story but was a little "long winded" and could have been finished sooner. And really, what boss is going to pursue an employee from her first day? I did enjoy that you're introduced to Regan's family, which makes me wonder if there's more stories about them.

My biggest problem is the fact that her ex tried to beat her and her unbornchild to death!  How do you gloss over that...there did not appear to be a true resolution for that part of the story, ESPECIALLY, after the confrontation at the end.....it was just like "oh, now that the love of my life knows I gave my baby away, he wont want me, Ill run away...but wait the answer is he'll sweep me off my feet at the end and tie it into a pretty bow...love conquers all in the end..."  well, what about the fact that the ex who tried to beat her to death found out she was alive and threatened to find and take his child....dont build the story up to this confrontation and not resolve it....Other than some editing problems I was pretty happy with the story and author until I ran into that mess at the end. If i were faced with the love of my lifes abuser/attempted murderer...I would beat him unconscious and then call the freaking police......and then to have it explained that Reagans ex really did love her but he just "lost his head" in the face of money, power, and prominence....well, F that.....Up until that point, this story wouldve easily gotten a 3.5 from me.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I loved this book so much, that I couldn't put it down. I finished it in a day and can't wait to read the other books in the series. It's a typical romance novel of the boss and his secretary but with a twist. Regain has a past that haunts her andnhas left her scarred and hurt when dealing with men. Zachary Benson, the big shot boss, can't get enough of Regan and strives towards making her his and finding out what has made her so hurt and tense whenever she is around him. When they finally become loved up and he starts taking her to meetings in different locations, things take a turn for the worse when she sees her ex fiancee, Alexander Hamilton, who was the man to hurt her and get her pregnant, the man who made her give her child. Zachary becomes very defensive and cuts his deal with Alexander and asks Regan to marry him. The characters in this book are loveable and believable and the situations they go through makes the reader laugh and cry. The way Zachary treats Regan is a way that every girl wants to be treated and makes the readers heart flutter. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books by this author.

I am really confused on how I feel about this book, even a few days later Im not sure about it. I think its mainly how I felt about Regan and her past abuser. Regan is starting over back in her home town and with a new job. On the way to work she is flirting with a hot guy and ends up having lunch with him. Of course it ends up being her boss Zach and she is understanably pissed because he knew who she was but she didnt know him. She stays but is adamant about not blurring the line between employee and love interest. They are attracted to each other but Regan pushes him away as much as possible because she was involved with her boss before and it ended horribly. And this is where we are given morsels of information throughout the book about her past experience, but I still had more questions about it than I shouldve after a whole book. Some things were a bit predictable but a few things actually surprised me which was nice. It did suck me in and I guess thats a testament to the story being well written. Might try out some of her other books, not sure yet.

Regan Keller was bound and determined not to fall in love with anyone she worked with, been their done that and all she got for it was a hospital visit and a broken heart. Back in her home town ready to start over. She gets a new job as an executive's assistant. Zach Benson is enamored with his new assistant and he won't give up until she is his. Zach openly admits he loves Regan, but she is using her past as an excuse not to admit she loves him also, too scared it will happen again. With Regan's inner conflict, her past keeps her from admitting her true feeling and it seems like she is making a mountain out of a mole hill but to her, her fear is very real. Her powerful ex almost killed her. Can she trust Zach enough not to break her heart? Can he love her after he learns her past?

I cried. This had one happy ending. I really liked this book and if this one is the kick off to a series I am looking forward to the rest of them.

I believe this is the first book in the Keller family series.

It all starts when a woman is riding the bus to her first day of work, because her car won't start. Having to stand, because the bus is full, she falls into the lap of a hottie when the bus jerks. She rides the rest of the way on his lap, by his invitation. Obviously & predictably this ends up being her boss.

The relationship & her bosses determination to have her forever happens extremely fast & the book is pretty much about her deciding she wants him too. She is a survivor of a severe beating from her previous boss & lover, so she is very reluctant.

This book is a fast read & it was pretty good. I wish there was a little more at the end, but because the first chapter is at the end, it answers a lot & reads kind of like an epilogue also.

I will read more from her, but I am not in a rush.

This was much like a soap opera, but in a good way.

Regan Keller is starting a new job, trying to recover from a past relationship that left her scarred and reluctant to believe in men. Unfortunately for Regan, there's instant attraction with her new boss, Zach Benson, who believes a relationahip in the work place isn't forbidden, as long as they remain professional. But Regan is determined not to fall for a man with power, or her boss, again.

The characters, not only Regan and Zach, but the support charqctera were really good, the writing style was good, def will read more of thia author.

The bad part, I really was expecting a more dramatic end for the villian in the story, Alexander Hamilton, I was expecting at least a good ol' ass kicking, but no.

There's a preview of the second book, Carlos and Madeleine story, that one I'll definately read in the future.

Free download. This book was a really nice read about heartbreak and healing. Regan Keller has been hidden from a man who thinks she's dead, he hurt her so bad that she is completely closed off toward trusting men. Zach Benson just met the girl of his dreams, unfortunately she also became his new executive assistant. Regan finds Zach attractive and sweet but past hurt keeps bringing up walls between them. Zach makes his feeling clear but has a lot of work to do to break down Regans walls and claim her heart. This book has a great story, and a really amazing character list. Each one has their own story but this book is centred around Regan and Zach. The love story is sweet and romantic, the angst is high, but the HEA is lovely. This a beautiful romance which I would recommend to hopeless romantics, and although can be read as a standalone I will continue with this series.

I'm sorry I can't believe anyone published this....it was weak in so many ways. There is a moment towards the end of the book when Carlos is talking about a really serious thing that happened to the heroine and in the middle of the statement there's a throw away line about him swinging his beer bottle....it just loses pace like this throughout. The detail is lacking and every bit of the story just jars or is obvious. The ridiculous bits about the french friend....it just didn't make sense and seemed to be thrown in there so that the book could be made into a series...well I wont be reading anymore of them.

I don't understand the high rating for this book at all and I really enjoy a good romping romance.

I truly enjoyed this book overall. Regan's family was adorable. The fact that they were so protective over her really got to me. Something's that just didn't land for me was the fact that Zachary fell in love sooo fast. It didn't seem natural to me. I also didn't care for how it ended. If Alexander went through all of that trouble to get rid of her before, then once he found out the truth there was no way he was just going to let her go on with life. I think the author should have made a second book about that part. I would have also enjoyed reading about their wedding and what was to come next. Did she go after the other baby or just let that go too? There were a lot of questions that went unanswered. Maybe the authors could revisit this story!!!

It started out well until I felt annoyed by the female lead character's weakness in spirit. I'll give the book a hat's off for its ability to toy with your emotions. Then again, you would also feel if scenes and dialogues have been stretched out to exaggeration. Glad that this book was able to touch sensitive themes such as abuse that comes in all forms in both romantic and non-romantic relationships (and how to release yourself from such situations) and the importance of family. This book is good, just that I'm not the escapist type and that's what the female lead character is. Thank God for persistent guys who don't see your past as your present and future, they're rare find these days.

I really, really loved this book.

It had everything I look for in a great read.

Really well written, full bodied characters.
Interesting back story. Intriguing secondary characters.
Humor, heart break, romance, seduction, sex!

It was easy to read and hard to put down.
The Executive's Decision is a must read for all fans of romance.

You can not ask for more.
But I will....more Kellers!!

I read the preview of book two in The Keller Family Series and it sounds like a heartrendingly gorgeous read. I'll be first in line when it is released.

A very well deserved 5 Star read ~<;]

I liked this book a lot. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that I thought Regan should have told Zach what was going on before he found out (but of course it wouldn't have been as dramatic if she had). I also don't understand where she got the idea that he would reject her because she wasn't "good enough" or had "given up a baby". Neither he or her family had ever treated her like that and regardless of what Alexander Hamilton did, her family life raised her differently and I just thought her feelings were a bit uncharacteristic

What can I say about the books that keep me up until 2 in the morning? In it's genre, this is a solid 4 star read. Regan and Zach melt off the pages in this sweet story that offers a struggle of acceptance, lots of swoon worthy romance, and a little suspense. The book is an exploration of self and love for both of these well developed characters. I'm glad to have picked this up while it was free on Amazon because it introduced me to Bernadette Marie and I will certainly be reading more of her offerings in the future. This is the first book in the Keller Family series and my first book by Bernadette Marie. I enjoyed it, and while it is predictable, of course, it does have interesting characters and the manuscript has only a few formatting errors. There were also some surprises I hadn't expected. I will be looking for the next one in this series.
