Predator's Serenade

Rate this book
There are three things that make bear shifter Soren Snow’s skin crawl: mothers, their children, and the great outdoors. Soren is a famed musician and playboy, and he would rather spend his days pressing the flesh with the women in his fan club than developing meaningful relationships. When his brother calls in a favor, forcing Soren to revisit the Ursa Fishing Lodge in Northern Ontario, he couldn’t be more displeased. However, he owes his brother big time.

Gioia Clementine would rather not meet Soren, her drummer son’s rock idol. But when tragedy strikes her home, it seems the only one the boy might respond to is Soren. Gioia begrudgingly agrees to let her son meet him, hoping the rock star won’t turn her tween into a musical misogynist.

When Gioia and Soren meet, the sexual chemistry threatens to set the Ontario woodland ablaze. Can these two opposites find a common ground? And can they manage to resolve their unwanted feelings, even when a mysterious stranger arrives at the lodge, threatening everything?

Meet Soren playboy, famous cocky big shot that screw supermodels and hate children and their mothers. This outdoors nature hater is called home by his brother to the outdoorsy Ursa Fishing Lodge in Northern Ontario to mentor a kid. To say Soren is displeased about this horrid favor would be to down play it, but he don’t have a choice since he owes his brother BIG TIME.

Gioia Clementine is a down to earth woman that has a son Gunner, he is the world to her. She is not into playboys and do not look forward to meeting Soren at all. She would rather eat shit than deal with spoiled big shots that have a menagerie of hot woman in his “I did them” book. But since her son Gunner is having real problems she is going to do everything to help him get better and thus Soren is the only option.

The fun really starts when they meet. I had so much fun reading this book and especially Sorens PVO, I was constantly giggling, snorting or laughing out loud. The comments and snark was fantastic, prize worthy fabulous. On top of this the book had a wonderful plot too and you did not get the big revelation before at the last minute, and it took me by surprise.
The growing relationship between Soren and Gunner is wonderful and I could relate since I am not a kid’s person myself, but I so bought it and loved it. It was the cherry on top in this book and gave it depth without being sugary sweet.

If we are going to talk about the bedroom action I have just one word to say Volcanic HOT! The scene in the closet was epic, totally unique and super fantastic. I think I need a closet like that at once and I think I need to borrow Soren for a little while too. He just jumped into my book boyfriend list and I think he is staying there permanently. Since I also have a “thing” for blond men he ticks of all the right boxes.

This book is wonderfully written and I love the world Rosanna Leo has made here. I was a big fan of the first book in this series, but this is even better. I gave that book 5 stars so this one is really 6 stars for me. I am a huge fan of Rosanna Leo`s works but I think this is her best work so far. I think I need a life time membership in her fan club. She has the most naught delicious mind packed in a great story with awesome writing, it just don’t get better than this.

EXCELLENT: The characteristics of a 5 heart story include: an awesome story; and, I love everything about the story — characters, plot, and story elements. I would definitely read it again and I would highly recommend it to a friend and rave about it often.

My Thoughts:
Predator's Serenade *sigh*...what can I say about this story other than I LOVED IT!!! Leo continues the Gemini Island Shifters series with Soren Snow. Soren is gorgeous, worldly, and not at all in touch with his shifter side. But one chance encounter with Gioia Clementine changes his life forever. In her he finds something he thought he would never find: a mate and total contentment. Soren and Gioia face many obstacles in this sweetly compelling story of unlikely mates. Predator's Serenade was full of twists and turns and lots of sexy bits in between that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

Leo's writing is brilliant, vivid, and sexy. I for one am happy to have read an early copy of Predator's Serenade and it gets my full stamp of approval! Girls, say hello to a new book boyfriend.

We met Soren in Predators Kiss where he was a little naughty causing trouble for his brother Ryland and I found it so funny that it’s Ryland’s turn to laugh his ass off at Soren in this book.
Once again Rosanna hits us with humour, love, suspense and a whole lot more hot sexy scenes. And don’t forget about those twist and turns and I have to say I ended up teary eyed at the end as it was a beautiful ending for Gioia, Soren and Gunnar.
I’ve been waiting for Soren’s book to come out since I read Predator’s Kiss because you just knew it would take a special woman to win Soren’s heart. And what a woman Gioia is yes she has her weak moments but who wouldn’t when a rock god shows interest in you. But this Women is strong she loves her son more than anything that’s why she ended up on Gemini Island to help him. And that’s why Soren is there to and he does help Gunnar and brings him closer to his mum which was lovely to read.
The best part for me in this book is the bit when Gioia and Soren first meet I laughed so hard because Ryland saw it and couldn’t help but rib Soren for it I just loved those scenes.
And then we get to the obsessive baddie I pretty much guessed who it was but not what he did to Paul that was horrible and caused a lot of pain for Gioia and Gunnar but I’m glad they both got the closure they needed.
There is a lot more sex in this book but hey I’m not complaining it was HAWT and I’m sure to have some hot dreams tonight about Soren and oh Marshmallows can’t forget them.
If you like Author’s that make you smile big when you read their books and just love a light hearted romance story then this series is for you it’s brilliant.
Rosanna please tell me Marci’s story is next?

Once again Rosanna Leo's Bear Shifters sweep me off my feet and take me on a wonderful, light hearted journey into romance, love and laughs.

Description:

My Thoughts,

As anyone who follows my reviews know I adore bear shifters and Rosanna Leo has now written two of my very favorite bear shifter novels. In book 1 we met Ryland our flannel wearing grizzly, now we have his rather arrogant brother Soren's story. It was so fun to see how the mighty has fallen.

The plot was as simple as it was complex. The small twists and turns kept you right on the edge of your seat to find out what happens next. I read this novel in one sitting and because I couldn't put it down I went sleep deprived the next day. I have not regrets, the story was well worth the sleepless night. One the Rosanna Leo's strengths is her ability to make the story flow easily which of course makes reading her works easy as well. Her characters are lively and well written. She gives each character enough background so the reader feels she knows them and can connect with them. The way she humanizes Soren is a great example of how she took this over the top (yet funny) character who you liked and laughed with into a more sensitive, mature male ready to take on a family. The secondary characters in the story are a wonderful support system and I know I am scratching my head to see who Rosanna is going to write about next. I pretty kitty perhaps??

5 flashing stars is my rating for 'Predator's Serenade' don't miss this great read. A perfect vacation book for those of you still needing beach reading ..Or just read it and take a vacation to Gemini Island and fall in love with these wonderful shifters.

The second book in the Gemini Shifters is a very entertaining read full of suspense, action, emotional angst, wonderful characters romance and red hot sex.

Soren returns to the shifter island as a favor to help out a young shifter with severe emotional problems, and he’s not real happy about it. He doesn’t have anything in common with moms and little people. Gioia has run out of options and hopes that Ryland’s mentoring program on the island can help her son. She’s not too happy about Ryland calling his brother in to help because she’s worried about what kind of influence he would be. Imagine both of their surprises when the instant attraction between them is hot enough to burn. The romance builds throughout the story as each tries to fight it. And when the couple does give in to the chemistry between them the sex scenes are scorching hot.

The emotional ups and downs in this story is very intriguing and the reader finds themselves caught up in Gunner, Gioia’s son’s problems as Soren reaches out to help him through the turmoil the boy’s life has become. Then the situation becomes even more complicated as Gioia is betrayed by family. The action and suspense in the story build to an exciting end and the ultimate in HEA’s.

The author’s setting for this paranormal series continues to be an excellent one and the characters are bewitching and continue to draw the reader further into their world. There were a few unexpected twists in the book and a couple of surprising and unique problems for our hero and heroine that add extra depth to this story. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Again, where are those half stars when we need them? This book is a delightfully sexy 4.5 stars. I`m now a diehard member of the Soren Snow fan club. I developed a strong infatuation with the playboy polar bear shifter in the first book. In his own book I fell in love with him!

Sarcastic, immature, rock star meets widowed mom with troubled son. And Boom! Ms. Leo`s crackling sharp dialog and steamy sex scenes propel this story along until you feel you can`t turn the pages fast enough. The plot has a nice twist that I certainly didn`t see coming, the storyline is tight and well paced, and the romantic leads are attractive not just on a physical level, but on a deeper level as well. I genuinely liked them and was cheering for them.

Looks like I`ll be heading back to Gemini Island very soon!

Amazingly I think I like this book even better than the first in the series.

Soren is amazingly juvenile in his inability to deal with a mature mom and her teenage kid. That being said, he still did a solid job of bonding with the boy even through his slightly unconventional methods.

Ms. Leo always creates approachable main characters and Gioia is no exception. She is flawed, prone to upset when dealing with her child, doesn't always have the answers and doesn't have a perfect body. Basically, she could be me or you.

I liked the humour that was laced through the book as well as the action packed ending. The music was almost playing itself in my head. Another gem from Ms. Leo.

I thought I'd tolerate Soren at best in this novel because he got on my nerves in his brother's story. He was immature, irresponsible, and a manwhore. Not a good look. Meeting Gioia and Gunnar was really good for him. I think I ended up loving him more than Ryland.

I was a expecting a twist ending but like in Ryland's story, it did nothing for me. It wasnt very effective to me and tried to force the story to move along.

I cant wait to read the next story cause I need to know more about sweet Merci and that wicked lynx of hers.

I had tears in my eyes at the end of this book. It was beautifully written. Soren found love and family and finally has been tamed by a struggling mom and her son, Gunnar. Seeing Soren change from a playboy to a man in love was something. I enjoyed reading his story and glad Paul (Gioia's ex husband) found a girl that might turn out to be his mate. I really hope so. Great book.

An absolutely wonderful story and a perfect sequel to Leo's Predator's Kiss. After reading the first book it was hard to see how the notorious playboy Soren would fall for a woman, but when it happens here it seems perfectly natural. Never once did I doubt the sincerity of his feelings for Gioia, and it's wonderful to see how he takes to her son Gunnar as well, discovering a paternal side to his character that even he never knew existed.

Gioia is like many single mothers - hard working, independent, and absolutely devoted to her son and willing to go to any lengths necessary to ensure his happiness and to get him whatever help he needs when he needs it. She's even willing to put up with a man she considers to be a useless womanizer simply because he's her son's idol and she is hoping beyond hope that meeting him will help bring her son out of the shell he's been in since his father's death. Unprepared for the way Soren affects her, she still doesn't let desire cloud her reason and doesn't hesitate to tell him to take a hike when something he does irritates her beyond tolerating.

As noted above, we first met Soren in book one of the Gemini Island Shifters series, and while it was obvious even then that he was a good man at heart, still he came off as being very much the playboy and confirmed bachelor type. As the saying goes, however, the bigger they are, the harder they fall, and when Soren falls he does it in spectacular fashion. What is most interesting is that he doesn't even try to deny it much the way his brother had. As the book progresses, it's easy to have an ever-increasing respect for Soren and the way he handles the various challenges that are presented to him in his courtship of Gioia.

Overall I found this to be a highly enjoyable and rather quick read. Emotions run high throughout it, but there are plenty of moments of levity and the overall tone of the book is lighthearted rather than dramatic. Yes, there is a fair bit of real drama in here as well, both in the challenges that Gioia and Soren face within themselves and each other as they come to terms with their attraction and learn to accept and embrace it, as well as external threats that challenge them on several occasions. While much of it is relatively predictable, still there is a twist introduced in the last 30% or so that I didn't see coming and which made things even more interesting than they already were for awhile.

I'd highly recommend this to anyone that likes paranormal romance, particular fans of shifters and those who prefer their romance to be on the lighter side. Fans of contemporary romance or romantic comedies will find much to like here as well, so long as they don't mind that the main characters get a bit furry from time to time. Personally I'm not a huge shifter fan really, but I'm loving Ms. Leo's shifters, and will be looking forward to see where she takes this series next. 5 glowing stars to this one.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

We first met Soren Snow in Predator's Kiss, the story of his older brother Ryland and his mate Lia. Soren was the sexy, talented drummer idolized the world over. He hated children and filled his life with superficial women. In Predator's Serenade, Ry asked Soren to return to the Gemini Island shifter resort, to help mentor a troubled tween boy, Gunnar. Despite his dislike of children, Soren bonded with Gunnar through music. (I loved how Ms. Leo arrived at Gunnar’s name).

Soren was searching for his muse as he met Gioia Clementine, Gunnar’s widowed, single mom. Gioia, an ordinary soccer mom would never appear on Soren’s radar, as a “date.” As his bear recognized its mate, however, an inner struggle began within Soren. Gioia appeared to be small and docile, but had a core of incredible strength. During their first meeting, sparks of attraction ignited quickly, even though she was unimpressed by Soren’s international superstar image. Soren’s history of being a playboy caught up with him, as Gioia assumed he saw her as nothing more than a quick, casual fling. Soren quickly found out, she was more than just his mate - Gioia became his muse.

Ms. Leo provided a slow, patient buildup to the intimate scenes that honored Gioia’s history with great sensitivity. When they were finally united, the scene was perfect - romantic, seductive and HOT. Each subsequent scene became hotter and more intense, as Soren and Gioia solidified their bond. Moreover, when Soren finally marked Gioia, I went up in flames along with her. Excellent placement of the mate mark, Soren. Excellent placement.

After reading Predator's Kiss, I was not a fan of Soren because I thought he took advantage of his brother’s love and hospitality. I found Soren to be the typical immature, self-centered, gifted musician, who had the potential for more, but was fighting himself. In Predator's Serenade, Ms. Leo made me fall in love with him. After all, what’s not to love about a gorgeous, blonde, music god?

Instinctively, I knew when Soren found his mate, he would fall hard. I was not prepared for how well developed and multilayered each character would be, in this story. The depths of his feelings toward Gioia and Gunnar were truly unexpected.

Add Soren to my Book Boyfriends list. More bears please, Ms. Leo. ;)

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Predator's Serenade by Rosanna Leo, the sequel to Predator’s Kiss (Gemini Island Shifters) is where we meet Soren Snow. The hotter younger brother of Ryland Snow. While Ryland is the more conservative and more serious, Soren is the party animal. The one that rather be with his groupies, beautiful woman and live in the moment than get attached and live the boring life he think his brother lives.

Now, while I wasn’t too sure about reading a story about Soren since I usually do not like stories where the main characters from the first book are not the main ones of the next one, I couldn’t say no when I was presented with the option. I might have fallen in love with Ryland in Predator’s Kiss but at the same time I was intrigued by Soren’s life and too see if he would ever find true love that it was strong enough to pull him away from his wild and free lifestyle.

I am glad I gave it a chance. :)

Right off the bat, we see Soren and get a peak into his mind and the way he thinks. He is such a wh*re, but I can’t help but love him. He is the dreamy guy we all sigh and drool over knowing we are way out his league, but we do anyways.

While he is off thinking about his next conquest, his brother calls him asking for help for one of the kids in his program, but Soren doesn’t do kids. They are the farthest things on his mind, but since he owes his brother for all the grief he has caused he says yes and heads back the Ursa Fishing Lodge.

While he grumbles and mentally complains about heading back to the last place in earth he wants to be at, the last thing he is thinking about is meeting his mate because to him they don’t exists except for his brother’s mating, but like always nothing ever happens as planned and Soren meets his one true love, his mate.

He fights it at first. He cannot believe that the woman, the mother to the kid he is supposed to help be the one for him. And if you read Predator’s kiss then you know that the bear deep inside of them will fight them tooth and nail for their human side to hurry up and recognize their mate and claim them.

It takes Soren awhile to admit it and even longer to tell her. Why? Because nothing is ever easy. Now Soren has too woo this woman, keep her away from unmated bears and protect her from a psychopath that was right under her nose and the cause of all her grief.

Predator’s kiss is a wonderful story with angst, love, passion, lust and plenty of drama that will continue to draw you in looking for more. I definitely cannot wait to read the third installment Predator’s Refuge. I give this wonderful story 4 stars/olives for an awesome read and will recommend for anyone over 18 to read.

Gioia Clementine has arrived at a shifter’s resort/camp believing it is her last hope to stop the isolation that her son has been quickly placing himself in. With her mate and the father of her son dead, Gioia has come hoping that the resort’s owner can find a way to break through the wall her son has raised. But when she learns just how he wants to do it, Gioia is unsure she wants to bring in a playboy.

Soren Snow is an internationally renowned musician and a playboy by choice. He is also a polar bear shifter. When Soren receives a call from his brother about a troubled boy he is working with who idolizes him, Soren can’t say no to coming to the isolated resort in Northern Ontario, even if the great outdoors is definitely not his thing. Imagine his surprise at his shifter’s self instant reaction to the boy’s mother. Mating is the last thing on Soren’s to do list.

Gioia is surprised by the real man that Soren is and how he gives so much to her son. She would even give a second chance to a playboy for the smiles he brings out of her son. As the days go by, Gioia finds herself drawn more and more to Soren with an intense attraction. Just as a break through comes in both her son’s acceptance of his past and the passion that has flamed between Gioia and Soren – a new arrival to the resort blows everything up. When the smoke clears will Gioia and Soren have a clear chance to achieve the future that awaits them? And will her son be able to accept the relationship between his idol and his mother?

A desperate mother and a playboy musician join to help a troubled boy with the result being a true love that will encompass all three of them. Gioia and Soren find that love in Predator’s Serenade. I would have never guessed that Soren would drop everything and return to the fishing camp/resort in the great outdoors. And yet he instantly stepped up once he met Gioia and her son. Gioia wasn’t really looking for a new relationship when she arrived at the fishing camp/resort but once she met Soren passion was immediate. I watched as Soren quickly grew from being a playboy without a care into a man who wanted the responsibility of having a mate and her son. When the surprise person came in to their relationship, I thought that would be the worse hurdle they would have to overcome but I was wrong. The worse threat was different entirely. I loved when Soren gave Gioia her greatest joy and how he did it. What a way to proclaim your love. Predator’s Serenade combines passion with suspense with twists of humor and a young boy’s trust.

Gemini island, a place that shifters can vacation in the out doors, camp, shift, and do what shifters do with out the "normal" people finding out their secrets. It is also a place to bring young shifters, who are having issues at home or with being different. Ryland, the owner and proprietor of Gemini Island, runs the place with his wife. He has a case that is troubling him. A young boy and his mother have come for help. Gunner is not talking to his mother and his mom Gioio is worried. Ryland wants to help them but even he is not having much luck with the boy. When he finds out his idol is the one and only drummer, Soren, he makes the call. Soren after all is a bear shifter as well and most importantly his brother.
Soren is a typical "star". Plays his music by day and women by night. When he gets a call about some boy who needs his help, he is less than excited to go, but he will do it for Ryland. When Soren sees Gioio, all plans change. He never planed to take a mate but he may have just found her. Now to convince her that they may have a future together. But things are never easy. With Soren's past with women being played out on the national nets, magazines, and TV, Gioio, is not going to come easily. Gioio and Gunner also have their own issues they are dealing with along with a couple they don't even know about yet!!
This is book 2 of the Gemini Island series. Book 1 is on this site, please go check out the review. Soren, the womanizer he is, has never wanted a mate. Sleeping with who he wants and traveling playing his music is just what he does. Ryland, is just trying to help a young family who has been through a very tuff time and is pulling out everything to try to help them. Ryland never thought matchmaker would be in his job description. The story unfolds with Soren reluctantly coming to Gemini island to help his brother but quickly Soren becomes infatuated with Gioio. Gioio is just protecting her heart, which has already been broken. The story line is sweet and definitely has twists and turns I didn't expect. Just as soon as you think all with be well ...BAM! Something else happens. Great read, awesome series ....you really don't have to read book 1 if you haven't, to understand book 2. But I will say you learn a little more about Soren and his "ways" in book 1 and the story of Ryland and his wife is really good as well. Thanks Rosanna for the great read!

My fingers are singed from holding my Kindle while reading this smoking hot series by ROSANNA LEO. I've had both of these books on my Kindle since August 16th. I'm a huge fan of Ms. Leo's writing. I promised myself that I would hold off on reading this series until I was on vacation so I knew I'd have at least two books that I would really enjoy.

Every time I turned my Kindle on, those beautiful covers taunted me. I'd slip up and "accidentally" press one of those book covers and read the first page. Then I'd chastise myself for having no will power at all. Finally, I just couldn't stop myself from continuing on to page two. I then had the bright idea that I'd just read the first book in the series and keep the second book for vacation.

If you are at all familiar with any of Ms. Leo's amazing shifter books, you know that I was just in denial. I finished Predator's Kiss, closed the book and stared at the cover of Predator's Serenade for a full five minutes before I decided that there was no way in hell I was going to hold off on reading it until vacation.

Ms. Leo introduced me to my first Selkie man in her Oarkney Series and through her writing, I fell hard for those beautiful, passionate shifter men. Now, in the Gemini Island Shifters Series, Ms. Leo has introduced me to bear shifters. I'm falling in love all over again.

Ms. Leo's characters are strong, passionate, thick-headed men that need a good strong woman to put them in their place. I just simply can't get enough of her writing style, and did I mention the sizzling love scenes? Whew! Hold on to your britches, because they are scorching hot!

The Gemini Island Shifters Series by Rosanna Leo was fun to read, funny, sexy, heartwarming and even suspenseful at times. Predator's Kiss and Predator's Serenade are both stand alone, but I'm here to tell you that once you read one, you're just going to have to read the other.

PREDATOR’S SERENADE is the second storyline in Rosanna Leo’s Gemini Island Shifters novella series. This instalment focuses on Soren Snow (a polar shifter) and Gioia Clementine, the mother of a young brown bear shifter and the woman who would be Soren’s mate. Although this is the second in a series, it can be read as a stand-alone without too much difficulty. Some of the previous storylines premise is revealed by way of recollection and reminders.

The story focuses on bad boy polar shifter Soren Snow. A world-renowned musician with a reputation for the ladies, Soren is called back to Gemini Island to assist a young shifter who is suffering quietly while his human mother tries desperately to get the young boy to talk. But it is not only the boy that will open up to Soren but his mother will be pulled into the mating heat of a sexually seductive polar bear with eyes only for Gioia. But Gioia was married once before and the memory of what happened in the past has scarred both Gioia and her son.

The storyline is quick to build as Soren and Gioia’s attraction to one another is immediate. Soren’s need for Gioia pushes his internal polar to claim a mate but before any of this can happen, life keeps interrupting. The sexual tension builds as every attempt to claim his mate is side swiped by someone or something, until it may be too late when the past comes back with a vengeance.

The secondary characters play a pivotal role in the storyline as the past collides with the present. And you know there are several potential storylines on the horizon.

Rosanna Leo pulls the reader into a shifter storyline where the call to mate is much stronger when the internal beast knows what it wants before the human mind can comprehend. If you like a shifter storyline with sensual heat, spicy play in the bedroom and loving relationship that begin out of need, Predator’s Serenade and the Gemini Island Shifters series by Rosanna Leo is a welcome addition to the paranormal genre.

I loved it, simple as that. I am so glad that I got the chance to read this book because otherwise I wouldn’t have looked twice at it based on its cover and that would have been a shame. I tend not to judge books by their cover, but from time to time I do it, I am sure that I am not the only one.

The book is definitely one of a kind, the plot is unique and very well written, the story is complex. I never encountered so much drama, romance, action in one a single book before. The book was very easy to read and it was clear from the beginning that the author has her way with words and knows how to capture the reader’s attention.

I absolutely loved the bear part, I never read a book like this one before. The novel focuses a lot on the mating process which made me enjoy the book even more. The idea of two people belonging to each other fascinates me, I wish normal people could do that.

Gioia is truly an admirable character. She stayed and took care of her sick husband, she tries her best to always be there for her son and make sure that he is okay while struggling with a severe eye sight problems. She learnt to accept her problems and know how to live with them. She is kind and sadly people take advantage of her kindness.

Soren is amazing despite being an arrogant rock star. He is kind and very protective, especially when it comes to those he loves. I do not know if this trait comes from the fact that he is a bear or because that is just the way he is. He had certain difficulties accepting things he tried to avoid his whole life, but that does not make him any less of a person.

Together, Soren and Gioia, make the perfect couple. She is a little bit shy while Soren is overly confident, they complete each other and not in a unhealthy way. Gioia keeps Soren in check while Soren makes her more adventurous.

Overall, I recommend reading this book because you honestly have no idea what you are missing.

Could someone pass the marshmallows please?

Omg I am still trying to catch my breath from reading this story! Ms. Rosanna Leo has hit it out of the park with Soren's story. We first met Soren in the first Gemini Island Shifters book Predator's Kiss where you read about how Soren was practically heaving at his love struck brother. I couldn't help myself from falling head over heels for him right from the beginning. Sure he was a womanizer, sure he radiated sex, and sure he really had no filter from his brain to his mouth but I couldn't help but love him anyway. Why? Because I knew his days were numbered and I couldn't wait to see how Rosanna Leo made him suffer once he found his true mate.

I was not disappointed. This story has it all love, pain, laughter, sadness, and plenty of suspense. You just never know who's going to come knocking on the door next! The story hit on a few very sensitive subjects that make your heart expand and cry out for the characters in this book. I fell in love with Soren all over again and I'm happy to see his crazy sense of humor is still alive and kicking.

This book made me laugh out loud and brought tears to my eyes and for me it doesn't get better than that. The fans of Rosanna Leo asked for Soren's story and they definitely got one. I can't speak for all of them but I am so happy with the story and the twists and turns throughout the entire thing.

If you liked Predator's Kiss then that was just a taste of what's in store. I LOVED this story and I recommend you click as fast as you can to a new window on your browser and download this book immediately. Like NOW! You will not be disappointed.

And if you haven't read Predator's Kiss, definitely download that one as well. Two fantastic stories by one very talented and wonderful author.

The second journey to Gemini Island series is Predator’s Serenade by Rosanna Leo. This time we get to meet Ryland’s brother Soren. Soren is the play boy rock star of the family. At first Soren comes off as shallow and self absorbed. Never met a woman he didn’t want to love. He runs from being with kids and moms like the plague. When he is called to Gemini Island by Ryland to help a troubled boy Soren is not thrilled but he does come. When he meets Gioia the boy’s mother the reaction he has both arouses and surprises him, she is his mate.
Gioia had a mate, he died leaving her and her son all alone. Because they didn’t mate properly Gioia cannot shift she is still human. Her son is everything to her but she cannot help him with shifting. Soren she knows is not good for her but he is good for her son.
She grows closer and closer to Soren. When things look like the happily ever after is going to happen the past comes back to haunt Gioia, can Soren find it in himself to save the family he finally has grown to love.
Gioia’s strong loving nature really made me love her. She is a mom who loves her son with all her heart. As a mom myself I could really relate to that part of her.
Soren learns to grow and let us see his loving sweet side. I really liked these characters together. They play off each other perfectly.
This is one of those books that really surprised me in a good way. Soren got redeemed for me, I thought he was just a shallow playboy but he is a loving, possessive, sweet man that I just loved. I hope there are many more books in this series. I know I will be waiting to read them, find out which shifter finds love, and with who.

This book was so good and thanks to Soren I have a whole new appreciation for marshmallows! Since meeting him in his older brother Rylands book I've been looking forward to Soren's fall and I wasn't disappointed! I love his mate Gioia, she's such an awesome character and a good mum too! It was interesting what was happening to her and of course Soren's HEA didn't come easy for him and after all he said about mates and relationships in the past it kinda served him right! His past definitely came back to haunt him in this book!
I loved Gioia's son Gunnar too! He was pretty cool and I felt bad for what he was going through! No one should have to deal with that kind of trauma, least of all a kid.
I did laugh when Soren was trying to deny he'd found his mate! His reaction was hilarious and put a massive grin on my face making me laugh! Ryland definetly enjoyed his little brother's pain as well though he was there for Soren throughout!
I laughed about Marci as well though I feel bad for her too! Hopefully she'll get someone special in her life too. I liked her a lot in Ryland's book and would like to see her happy too!
I also want to say that what Soren did for Gioia at the dock at the 'set the lake ablaze' event was so sweet and romantic as well! I don't think there's a female alive that wouldn't melt if a guy went to all that effort for her!
Can't wait to see who on Gemini Island gets a book next and I really hope there is going to be more books set on the island!

This is the second in a series by this talented author and although I hadn't read the previous book Preditors Kiss I had no trouble in following this story. Easy to read and simply flows easily from page to page.
This book is about Soren a rich , spoiled drummer who is a polar bear shifter with the world at his feet (particularly women!) and Gioia the woman who just might end his wild ways. Gioia has brought her shifter son Gunner to the resort owned by Sorens brother in the hope that they can overcome their tragic past. Soren is immediately beset with intense feelings for Gioia but helping her son will bring them even closer together. Unfortunately there is a threat to their budding relationship that could wreck all their lives.
I really enjoyed this story and found it to be a surprising read. I had expected just a normal shifter romance with a few arguments and then the usual happy ending but that's not at all what this tale delivered. Ms. Leo has written a hot sexy story that takes surprising twists and turns. Just as the reader feels the happy end is about to occur something new and exciting is thrown into the mix.
This is a book with sexual content but its a hot sensuous read and not hard core erotica . Yes it's a fun read and will surely make you smile.
I happily recommend this book and personally will be buying more from this very talented author
I would rate this as a 5

A great addition to the Gemini Island Shifter’s series and my favorite so far. Be ready for laughs, thrills, mystery and hot sex in Predator’s Serenade (oh boy!)

Gioia is currently visiting Gemini Island with hope it will help her son, Gunner. He has been acting out for some time now and she is afraid for him. Hearing from others how Ryland helps young shifters, she feels this would be the best way to help. When Ryland suggests bringing his brother Soren to the island since Gunner is a huge fan of his. She becomes a bit weary. After a little thought she gives it the ok and hopes it will not be one of the worst decisions of her life.

Soren has many likes and dislikes just as everyone else does. One of his tipitty top dislikes is children. That’s why when his brother asks him for a favor, to help him help a child, he’s very reluctant. But of course he caves for his brother and some sound convincing. Now he cannot help but to think if he’ll regret caving for his sibling…

Rosanna Leo wrote it so it can be read as a stand-alone story if you chose to do so. But I personally recommend reading book 1 (Predator’s Kiss) first so you can get to better know Soren and some of the other characters. A 4.5 rounded to a solid 5 rating :)

This book was just yum, playboy musician bear shifter meets his mate......

Soren the playboy musician, is talked into visiting his brother on Gemini Island, Gemini Island is a resort for shifter families, all types of shifters but Soren is a polar bear shifter. His not one to embrace his shifting side and generally hides away in his human form in the city.

Giona is away on the island trying to help her wayward shifter son Gunnar. Ryland, Sorens brother recently mated to lia is helping Giona and has called in reinforcements namely Soren.

Ok we all know how these work, they see each other and know there meant to be.....well it doesn't go that easy! One moment I really enjoyed is when Ryland and Soren were having a telepathic conversation together was so funny.

The characters were very rounded and you will really warm to them, the sexy scenes were damn hot! The story has so many twists and turns it really keeps you on your toes.

I have no qualms in giving this book a hot 5 vampy and racey stars.

I received a copy of this book for a honest review.

Oooohhh bad boy Soren takes a nose dive as he discovers what is feels like to fall in love and meet his mate. I literally laughed out loud when I read his reaction!!! The poor playboy didn't handle it so well. Mousy romance writer Gioia takes Soren through a storm, more like a monsoon of reactions as she turns his world upside down. Soren is left to figure out how to come to terms with the changes in his live as he discovers what family really means.
Rosanna scores a hit with this one. Another well written novel in the bear shifter series. The character and world development are impeccable. For me I would have liked to have more involvement from characters from the first novel a little bit more, but that's just me. All in this is a great story, I can't wait to read the next one in this series!!!

I had PS in my to-read pile for awhile now and I had been putting off reading it cause after reading Predator's Kiss, I was not a fan of Soren. I wasn't sure if I was going to liked Soren or not.
I was skimming thru my ebooks to see what I wanted to read and I came across PS and I thought I am going to give this a try cause Rosanna Leo hasn't let me down on any of the other books I have read.
I could really just kick my BIG FAT BUTT for not reading it sooner. I absolutely enjoyed reading it I especially got a kick out of Soren's PVO, the comments were absolute fabulous, I was smiling so much my cheeks hurt.
I was even asked a lot at work what was so funning. Of course I told them and few just looked at me funny.(I was thinking you don't know what you are missing out on)
But I know this is not everyone's cup of tea.
Overall this was a great addition, absolutely loved the ending, it was very emotional but perfect. Oh I can't forget the closet and marshmallows WOW just WOW.

Predator's Serenade is Rosanna Leo's second book in her Gemini Island Shifters series. Each book is a standalone story but characters from this book are introduced in the first book, Predator's Kiss. It isn't necessary to read Predator's Kiss to fully appreciate Predator's Serenade but I do recommend Predator's Kiss. Both are very good books.

Soren Snow is a womanizing rock star who as a favor to his brother, returns to Gemini Island to help a troubled tween. Gioia brings her troubled son Gunner to the Island for summer camp and hopefully to get him to open up after a the death of his father, Gioia's husband. Soren is instantly attracted to Gioia much to his initial disgust. I won't say more because I don't want to spoil the story but I will say there is plenty of intrigue, romance, and some very interesting plot twists. Highly recommend!

Rosanna Leo writes fun, sexy, over-the-top and out-of-this-world alpha males. Or I guess that should be, kinda of this world, kinda something special. ;) This is the second in her Gemini Island series, and I really, really liked it. Soren's transformation from playboy to committed mate is hilarious, as his inner bear takes over for the first time in his life. Gioia is an awesome heroine, fiesty and strong and awkward and cute and...I could go on forever. I loved her.

Some of my favourite moments I don't want to share, because they're spoilers, and I really think you need to read the book to appreciate them in the moment. But suffice it to say, Leo takes a soccer mom and makes her sexy, SUPER sexy, without denying the reality of an average woman's body. I love that about this book, and Leo's writing in general. 4.5/5. Small points removed for not enough plaid. ;)

Oooohhhhh that Soren is such a hot charmer.

This was such a sweet shifter romance.

Gioia Clementine has come to Gemini Island for some help with her young son Gunnar. Gunnar has retreated into himself and Gioia is at her wits end on how to get her son back. Ryland tries to help break him out of his self-induced shell but doesn't seem to be getting anywhere so he calls in a favor with his brother Soren, who Gunnar idolizes as a drummer to help out.

The minute Soren sees Gioia his inner bear recognizes his mate and even though he fights it she will be the only one from him. Gioia and Soren are very cute together and that closet scene....YOWZA. I needed a cold shower after that.

This was a quick read with a nice story-line.

Totally enjoyable!

Does it sound impossible if I said that I loved this book even more than the first? Yes? No? Because I do! In books I usually go for the mysterious, strong silent type - you know, characters like Ryland - but I actually liked Soren, a lot! He was nice, laugh out loud funny, sexy and good with kids (or at least Gunnar) - I mean is that a package deal or what? This book had me smiling the entire time and "aww"-ing at it. And for me, I personally think a book is great when it makes me toss my tablet across the bed and declare that I'm taking a lunch break when there's an unexpected plot twist - like when Paul randomly showed up and the whole creepy cousin thing. So before I start preambling some more I'll end with how much I love this book and how much I'm looking forward to the next one.

This one was funny, cute, scary, and heartbreaking. I enjoyed every moment, well except the evil dude. Okay, I did like the evil dude a bit because he caused things to happen. But I didn't like him for hurting people. He is crazy! I couldn't put it down and read it in one day. Thank you for another great story.

BTW, I am not giving away any spoilers because the secrets are really good in this book. Of course, Soren and Gioia are fun to watch get together (the smexy scenes are AMAZING). My favorite part was the past comes back to haunt you theme. So good!
