Think you know about gargoyles? Think again. The beautiful winged race disappeared eight hundred years ago. Now they're back.

Trapped in a harpy's lair, Chaos must choose between his freedom and the life of an innocent young girl. To save the girl, he must agree to a lifetime of captivity at the end of a monster's leash, a bleak existence that would crush his wild spirit and impetuous nature.

Starved and abused by the same harpy, Torrie doesn't trust anyone, especially anyone with wings. She doesn't realize that the young gargoyle imprisoned with her is her only hope for survival. And when she finally discovers her mistake, it appears to be too late for amends.

I liked this one a lot. I thought it was much better than the previous one. I liked how the book showed Chaos and Torrie's situation from the beginning where they were both captives of the harpy and forced to survive together instead of starting the story in medias res with everyone trying to break the harpy's hold on Chaos.

I liked Chaos, he a little different from the rest of the guys because he's kind of a bad boy, but he was really protective and caring. It was sweet how much he watched over Torrie and kept her safe. I liked Torrie as well. She's a skater girl who struggled a lot with being different and feeling like she didn't belong. Even though Torrie doubted herself a lot, she still remained a strong and independent person who chose to see the best in others.

Chaos and Torrie were cute together. I liked how their relationship felt more natural because they started out more as friends, two people just trying to survive in less than ideal circumstances and later affection developed between them. Chaos sacrificed a lot to protect Torrie and even though she didn't completely trust him in the beginning, it was sweet to see her try to make up for that once she learned the truth about him and his intentions. I liked how everything was switched up a bit and that Torrie was the one who ultimately ended up saving Chaos instead of the other way around.

Overall, I enjoyed this one but if there is a negative it's that this one was so short and more definitely could've been added to the story. That said, I'm still going to need Victor and Sam's story next.

I have read all the Greystone Novels and Chaos did not disappoint. Torrie was a fantastic character...different from the other girls and I really liked that about her. In fact this story felt quite different to the previous four and it was actually a really nice change. I think the whole battle between the gargoyles and the harpies is super cool and to see more of the harpy in this book was fun.

My only criticism is that I would have liked the end fight to be a little longer and more drawn out. It felt a little easy and rushed, however this did not take away from my enjoyment of the book as a whole, which is why I'm still giving it 5 stars.

If you've enjoyed the other Greystone Novels or you're looking for a really great paranormal romance series to get into, I highly recommend Chaos and the other four books. Taylor Longford knows how to write good romance surrounded by action, intriguing backstory and characters that are impossible not to fall in love with.

I was fully expecting this book to start off right where the last one left off, which would have been the norm for these novels. But it didn't, and for that, I am grateful. It backed up about two or three weeks and started off with the kidnapping of Torrie. And then we got to see exactly what they had to go through to survive and why he was willing to give up so much to see her safely back at home.

I liked Torrie. She was so different from all the previous girls that she really stood out, but in a good way. It was easy to see why Chaos came to love her. The only thing I really did not like about her was that she was always so negative about herself, then bam, it was suddenly gone. Other than that, it was really good.

Overall, another amazing read from Taylor Longford. It's a quick read for anyone who doesn't have a lot of time to sit and read, but still loves a good book. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who loves this genre.

Another hit! This is my second favorite couple after Reason and Elaina! I really enjoyed reading how they bonded while held captive by the harpy and how she thought she had stockholm syndrome with Chaos. I liked Torrie and found her personality relatable... I'm not a social outcast at all however I do get that dumbstruck look when people are complete jerks because I just cant wrap my brain around how some people can be so awful in real life...
I dont know if this is a fact or I'm just projecting but that line about the NSA had me pumping my fist! I HATE the NSA and all it stands for and Taylor Longford I just love you that much more if you are in the same boat!
and last but not even remotely least... HAVOC! OMG I cannot wait for his book. I know it'll be some time as he is the youngest but ah! He is just so witty and clever! Please take your time writing his story! I'm dying to read it but I can wait knowing he is worth that extra effort!

I love this series! It just gets better with each book. The book really focused on Chaos and Torrie so you didn't get that much time with the rest of the family which would have made me love it even more but it really allowed for the character development and helps you understand the connection between the two of them. Torrie was such a great character. She didn’t think or act like a normal teenager which made you love her even more. I think Chaos is one of my favorites now! He hated what was going on with him and the harpy but still tried to protect Torrie and his family as much as he could. I would recommend these stories to everyone but start from the beginning or you might be a little lost on what’s going on.

I have read all of the books in this series and I really liked this book. It was nice to see the full story of Chaos and Torrie since we've been given pieces in the previous books. Also, since I've read several books since reading the previous book in this series, I was glad that everything was nicely recapped in this book. I've previously complained about the insta-love aspect of some of these novels (and in YA in general), but it didn't bother me in this book. Maybe because of the circumstances of how the main characters met. Anyway, looking forward to the next in the series!

I absolutely love the Greystone series. Every character the author writes about I end up loving. I love that these books are original and the storyline is as well. Every time I read a Greystone book I think this one is my favorite but really I just love them all. I highly recommend this series.

I definitely enjoyed this book. This one had more adventure in it compared to the others simply because of the situation. Reading a story like this always makes me excited to read the rest of the series.

Possibly my favorite of this series so far. A lot of action and suspense from cover to cover. The story between Chaos and Torrie was so intimate and intriguing. I really enjoyed this book.

I have been eagerly anticipating Chaos’ story since his appearance in Reason and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved Torrie and she kind of reminds of Mac a little ( which is a good thing cause I love Mac) cause she is fiery and not bland or boring. Also I really like how we get to see Chaos & Torrie together in captivity. That they spend all this time together, talking to and relying on each other, supporting one another and just generally bonding makes their love seem real & strong (and way more convincing than some other couples cough Whit & Defiance cough) so Iwas totally invested in their relationship. And OMG I love Havoc. He is so adorable and I totally called it about Sophie. I am sure she is the one for him , she just has to grow up first. And no its not at all creepy cause there is no romance vibe yet he is just super protective and caring.

Raw, emotional, and gripping—Chaos brings readers into the darkest corners of the gargoyle world. Chaos’s protective spirit and Torrie’s cautious resilience form a bond forged in pain and healing. Their escape and recovery arc is both intense and heartwarming. A standout for readers who like their fantasy romance high-stakes and emotionally charged.

4 stars — There were parts of this story that I definitely loved, but there were also parts that just didn’t live up to my expectations.

I found both Chaos and Torrie to be really interesting characters. I mean, actually, all of our couples seem to have a lot of traits in common, with only slight variations. The gargoyles don’t show their love well, and have tempers. The girls are insecure and believe themselves to be less than (but of course they get more beautiful thanks to the gargoyles, and in Torrie’s case apparently getting thinner made her more beautiful…fat shame bad). That can be a little annoying, b/c I want more…I want to tap into something a bit deeper. For all that I should have loved Torrie for her traits on paper, I didn’t really connect with her that well. And I honestly don’t know why. I think I wasn’t expecting this book to be entirely told from Torrie’s POV, so when we got all that time in captivity, but with no idea how Chaos was faring, I was kinda bummed and let down. I really don’t understand why none of these books are in dual POV. She’s proven she can write both male and female POV, so why not switch it up? That would honestly be the ultimate for this series.

Anyways, I seem to have completely strayed off my train of thought. Basically I liked them both, but while I feel like I should have loved them, I just didn’t connect as strongly. I think this book is shorter as well, so that definitely didn’t help.

There were some twists and turns in the end, and I didn’t see the resolution for their relationship coming, so that was kind of fun how that was explained. It was a bit easy, but *shrugs*

All in all, I’m still really enjoying this series, and I love the uniqueness. But I feel like they’re missing something to give them that edge into fantastic, you know? Like they’re perpetually 4 stars — enjoyable, but don’t blow me away. We’ll see if the next 4 books change my mind.

Again, more of the same. Chaos and Torrie were one of my more likable sets of characters. I just couldn't get into Defiance and Whitney in the previous book, so Chaos and Torrie were a nice break from that. This book reverts back to the girl's point of view. I'd gotten used to having a male POV from the last couple of books. With the way the author writes, however, I enjoy the male and female POVs equally.

The plot in this installment was a little more interesting, too. Instead of "girl-is-captured-by-harpy," it's "gargoyle-is-bonded-to-harpy." (Not that the girl isn't kidnapped too....) Valor and Dare were still my favorites, but Chaos was probably next on the list.
