Fall from Grace #1

Banished from Grace

Rate this book

Life should be easy for this attractive (not to mention, immortal) woman, but throw in two handsome men, a coffee addiction and memory loss that dates back to the medieval ages, and you've got a life that's more than complicated...

Nardia is a very special nurse, one with a unique gift. With the touch of her bare hands, she can heal any physical ailment. With the help of her angel guide, Benilde, Nardia has healed her way through countless centuries.

When she meets AJ at her favourite coffee shop, she can't help but feel an immediate attraction to him. At the same time, she knows there's more to his story than what he's letting on. And then there's the handsome Doctor Regan, who she feels a connection with, but is she trying to make it more than is really there in order to spare her the heartbreak of being with AJ?

Only adding to her problems is the new resident, Dr. Jeffries, who seems out to get her from day one, and a murder case she can't help solve without revealing her own secrets.

Can Nardia uncover the secrets of her own past while still moving forward and saving those in need of her help in the present?

When I started to read the book I was unsure if I could read this book. It was a little overwhelming when it came to some of your patients she had at the hospital. As I continued on I found that I was unable to put the book down. I read this book in less the 24 hours. There was one part in the book that I could get my mind off. This would be patient 4. I could believe what they said he done to his kids. You must read to find out what happened and the out come.

I highly recommend this book!

*****3.5 STARS*****
I was really looking forward to reading Banished from Grace by Aria Williams. I read the synopsis and thought that it was going to love it, and there were so many 5 star reviews that I seriously thought it was going to be great. Unfortunately, Banished from Grace did not meet my expectations :(.

I am going to start off by explaining the things I had problems with, and why I just didn't get into it.

The first thing I had a problem with was the setting of the story. The majority of the story takes place in a hospital. Don't get me wrong, the author did a great job in explaining all the medical terms and what not, but I just couldn't get into it. I just felt that the story was stuck in that one place. There were not a lot of interesting things happening, because Nardia was stuck in trying to solve what truly happened with a girl's and boy's father (can't expand on this, because I don't want to ruin the story).

The second problem I had with the story was Nardia's character. Although, there are a few qualities that I loved about her character, but I just couldn't quite connect with her. This girl really got on my nerves when it comes to relationships. Nardia has two love interests in Banished from Grace, Regan and AJ, and one of these I just don't like at all! I seriously felt like jumping in the book and slapping some sense into Nardia. When I thought she was going to pick the right guy, she goes on and picks the guy I don't like. The other problem I had with Nardia's character is that she sort of complains about being immortal. I understand where she is coming from with this, because she has had to see all of the people she knew, loved, and cared about die when she just keeps on living.

The third thing I had a problem with, and thought was really random was one of the sex scenes. This is one of the first sex scenes, and it happens really early in the story. I just felt that this was a really random place in the story for the characters to have sex. One minute she is walking her dog where she comes to one of the guys place, and the next minute she is inside having sex with him. They have not even known each other for a day, and they are already having sex, but later on in the book I understand the quick connection between these two. But still this sex scene just came out of no where.

A few of the things I did like about the story.

The first thing I LOVED about the story was AJ. I just fell in love with his character the moment I read about him. Who wouldn't fall in love with him? He is sweet, caring, mysterious, speaks different languages, makes kick-ass coffee, can sing to your very soul, and is a total hottie. I wish there were more AJ scenes in the story, because whenever he appeared the story got interesting.

The second thing I loved about the story was the way Nardia starts to remember fragments of her past. These were definitely my favorite scenes in the story. Aria Williams did a wonderful job in coming up with this idea (the way she is able to remember her past). It sort of reminded me of the novel Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz, and how her characters remember their past lives, but it is very different from Aria Williams. You will just have to read the book to understand, because there is no way I can explain it without ruining the story.

I loved the whole paranormal concept of the story. I thought the character's powers were really unique, and different from what I have read before. I have only read a few angel books, but the powers of these characters stand out from what I've read before. I don't know if this will be the same case for other readers, but to me it was unique.

Overall, I just couldn't connect with the majority of the story and Nardia's character. Plus, there were so many unanswered questions that I wish there were more information. Just when the story was getting interesting for me, something would happen that I would just lose my interest all over again. I think in sync I just needed more of everything.

Will I be reading the second book in the series? Hell Yes! Just when the story was getting interesting Aria Williams ends it with a Cliff Hanger!!!! I scrolled down on to keep reading, and I realized that I had just reached the end. I just have to read the second book to see what will happen next. I would also love to know more about the rest of the characters, because what I learned is that they are not what they seem to be. Can't wait to get my hands on the second book!

Banished From Grace is a gem of a find. Lately I have been on tours where the book is not really popular but then read it and it screams at you because it is such a gem of a read. I have to say that I was thoroughly surprised by this book and I need more so much more! Anyone who knows me knows I love angel stories. I just love them to death and this is one of the most keep on my book shelves because it was that good.

Nardia is a nurse and she loves what she does. She loves helping people out and most important she loves healing people. See Nardia has a secret that she keeps from everyone and that secret is she can heal sick people. She loves to take away the pain and heal them. She is not sure how she got this blessing but she uses it wisely. So her being a nurse is a perfect way to help heal sick people.

This is one of those books you have to read to get the full effect of the book. I have to say that the characters and the events that unfold is mind blowing and a few times I found myself yelling at the book and wanting things to go one way when they went another. I love the idea that Nardia has two love interests and one is good for her and the other is bad for her. Which one will she chose? Will it be the bad boy....... or will it be the good ole boy.....

You have to read to find the answers but it is worth it! Happy Reading!

**3.5 Stars**

I was excited about reading Banished from Grace. This is the first in a series and it sets up an intriguing world. I had a little difficulty getting into the story, but a revelation about halfway through helped. Once this was revealed, I was really drawn into the story and the characters.

Nardia is a special being. She's lived for centuries not knowing exactly what she is, but knowing she has the special ability to heal. She's always had an angelic guide, Benilde, to aid her when she needed it. Presently, she's working as a nurse where her special ability is more easily used. Every day she has cause to use her healing ability. On the day we meet her, Nardia is involved in caring for a family brought in with gunshot wounds. This case ends up being a central part of the story.

A.J. appears in a local coffee shop that Nardia frequents. Nardia has an immediate and visceral reaction to A.J. A reaction unlike any she's ever felt. And that's saying something since she's lived for centuries. Nardia and A.J. enter into a relationship despire Nardia's reservations. But A.J. is hiding something and when it's revealed, Nardia feels as though she can no longer continue their budding romance.

Enter Dr. Regan. Nardia has worked with him for awhile at the hospital. Dr. Regan is stable and chivalrous but doesn't make Nardia's heart beat wildly. However, she does feel a connection with him. So the two work out an arrangement for a relationship that seems to work for them both.

Gladys is Nardia's daughter. However, because she's aging, Gladys poses as Nardia's mom. Although she's not featured a lot, I really like Gladys. She puts things in perspective quite often for Nardia. And it is she that talks Nardia into giving A.J. a second chance - to let him explain about what he was hiding from Nardia.

Ms. Williams injects suspense in the novel through both the hospital case and a new doctor. As I mentioned, Nardia is involved in caring for a father and his two children when they're brought in with gunshot wounds. A murder investigation ensues. I won't say more on this subject so as not to be spoilery. Then there is the new doctor, Dr. Jeffries. Following his arrival at the hospital, Nardia begins experiencing problems both professionally and physically. Nardia enlists the help of A.J. to solve the mysteries of both what happened with the family of gunshot victims and the sudden illness Nardia seems to be suffering from. Oh, and there are the answers Nardia would like to have regarding what she is and what her life was like prior to waking up in a time during the plague. A.J. agrees to help with Nardia's memory loss from centuries ago as well.

There is quite a bit going on in Banished from Grace. In fact, there are quite a few things I can't talk about without being spoilery. Suffice it to say, there is more going on in this story than the synopsis leads you to believe. And it's good.

As I said, I did have trouble getting into the story. It may be me, but I felt the beginning was a bit convoluted and I had lots of questions. Once a particular revelation is made, some of my questions were answered. I better understood what was going on and became more invested in Nardia's story. Although she frustrated me with a few of her decisions. The ending is not quite a cliffhanger, but definitely sets the stage for the next book in the series. Nothing is resolved at the end of Banished from Grace.

I ended up enjoying Banished from Grace. Although the initial worldbuilding was a bit bumpy for me, Nardia intrigued me. The twists in the plot kept me guessing, and I do want to know what happens next. Perhaps, the next novel will grab me on page one now that the initial worldbuilding is done. I hope so! :)

I WANT more!!! Seriously now, I really want to read more. I got so invested in the last part of the book and now I am extremely curious about what happens next.

The story is really interesting and unique which is very good. I am tired of reading the same thing over and over. The subject is not entirely fresh, but certain elements make it stand out.

The plot is complex for a book of only 250+ pages. There were certain paragraphs that could have been developed further, but in general is more than okay.

I love the heroine because she is kind, but also has a side that does not let anyone walk all over her which I am glad about. Nowadays it is very rare to find a character with a pure soul that can actually defend themselves. It very clear that Nardia loves her job and despite being sent to heal she enjoys doing it. Usually when someone has to do something they end up disliking it because it was not their choice.

I am on team Reagan – there I said it. I know that most of you will probably end up liking AJ and maybe even the author likes him better, but I don’t. Toward the end I saw that Reagan started to act a bit differently than before in order for him to become the second man in Nardia’s life, but…I still like him better because of the way he treats children and his coworkers. His relationship with Nardia is not ideal, but he is a good man.

I like AJ as well, don’t get me wrong. I seem him as Nardia’s best friend and not her lover. I enjoyed reading about him working at the cafe. I am going to stop here because I was about to add spoilers and I don;t want to do that, it is not my style…

I like the cover, but I don’t like the model or her posture…I like the idea, it is just that I feel like something is missing.

I recommend reading this book, especially this season as it is a perfect read on a sunny or a rainy day. It is very easy to read, but still the action is not simple.

To everyone that knows her Nardia is a hardworking and dedicated nurse; responsible and diligent in her duty. But that is only the half of it. She has been around for hundreds of years, never aging and apparently indestructible. Her only calling is to heal – a calling that has a divine purpose – but Nardia’s life takes an unexpected turn for better and worse…

At first I was concerned that this story would not really be something I would enjoy. Aria Williams builds a world through the eyes of her character and at first Nardia is clinical, cold and lacks a real life. As a reader I almost panicked. I wasn't sure I could handle the medical descriptions and career orientated persona of the protagonist…and then all of a sudden she changed and so did the whole feel of the narrative. AJ’s appearance in Nardia’s life not only awakens her but how her story is told, and the reader has the privilege of experiencing this along with her.

The unfolding of events and decisions that the protagonist makes are suitably infuriating …well who could resist that barista?… and the slow building tension has the reader asking “What’s wrong with this picture?” before you even know something is going on. I have my suspicions about a few of the characters (heavenly bodies nor not) and am looking forward to uncovering whether my suspicions are accurate in the next installment.

Overall I liked it. The premise is interesting, the world the author builds is just real enough to have you believe and yet different enough to make you wonder. There are still elements of the narrative that are too sharp or blunt and at the end I really wished I had a chapter or two more to come to terms with the revelation I had just read. But if the author wanted to leave you with a need to read more – then I guess she succeeded!

Banished From Grace is the story of Nardia - beautiful angel who has banished down to Earth for falling in love with another angel. She has a power of healing which she did for hundreds of years. Being beautiful, she had a lot of attention of different men. Since her last husband dying years before, she couldn't look at another man and just focused on healing. But when she meets two amazing but completely different men, she needs to be around them every chance she gets.

This wasn't what I expected. I love Aria Williams' writing, it was really beautiful. But for some reason I just couldn't get into the story as much as I wanted to. Nardia was the perfect "angel" character - sweet, caring, beautiful, and down to earth (Get it?) ;) But there was too much romance for me and I would have wanted to hear about the whole situation more compared to her relationships. This is pretty fast read as well so if you're looking for something light - try this out!

I loved this story.
We heard of Nardia, and met AJ in Heavenly Hell, so it was lovely read their story.

I felt a strong kinship with Nardia, as my Mother was a healer for many years.

This story had just the right mix of medical & spiritual healing. The characters gel well together, and made me laugh out loud at times. It also brought a lump to my throat on a few occasions.

This is a very heart warming story about Nardia and her special gift of healing, although at first she didn't know she was actually an Angel, until AJ tells her of her past.

I look forward to reading more about Nardia AJ.

A great Read.

This was a decent book. The characters and plot were very interesting, but I found the narrative felt extremely flat. This is probably mostly a stylistic preference and someone else might really key into it. It just didn't work for me.

The Characters -
AJ was a great character, he is definitely the reason this book received three stars. He is the kind of guy that is dream worthy. I wish there were more men like AJ in the world, real-life and fiction. He has a lot of depth and is overall a great person. He is my favorite character in this whole novel and he is the main reason I want to read the next one in the series.

Nardia was likable enough. I wasn't a fan of her snarky attitude towards other women, even when mentioning you are just being objective it is still mentioning it and looking down on others. This didn't happen very much, but just enough to catch my notice.

Doctor Raegen was...he is really hard to describe. He was shy and reserved in the beginning and grew in his confidence and comfortability as he and Nardia grew closer. Honestly, in the beginning I didn't really care for him, but towards the end he turned it up a bit. I still don't love him like AJ, but I think he would be an alright friend. I didn't care for his taste in friends, nor his attitude towards Nardia after hearing rumors. But I did like that he stood behind her even when doubt clogged his mind.

The Plot -
The story moved very slow and I didn't get the big climax I was hoping for, but it was paced evenly enough. I was confused on a few parts, regarding her daughter and what she decided in the end, so I am going to have to get that clarified in the next novel, but I assume these endings will be tied together later in the series. I would have liked more from this story, with all the build up we could have had a larger bang in the end. The idea behind this story is great, I love the healing quality and angels being brought to life. The forbidden nature of it all, it is magical and mysterious. The characters were real, they could be anyone around you, anyone you run into. Williams did a great job bringing real life characteristics into the novel.

My Outlook -
This story is told to you. Never shown to you, it is all said through Nardia. There isn't one interaction we get to experience for ourselves through description. Just through narration. It was like Nardia was sitting in front of me telling me this story. So that was a big frustration, it is much more enjoyable to actually live the story with the character instead of just being told what is happening. The best way to describe this sensation is like if I was blind and watching a movie with only someone there to tell me what is happening. You get so much more connection and you feel more when you actually live it. I hope this improves for the next ones.

Summary -
The cons in this novel were that the climax, wasn't climactic enough, we could have gotten more from this story. The story was told to us, we didn't live it.

The pros, AJ is the best. A great character to read and experience in a story. The premise and the outline of this story is very intriguing. I wanted more and I enjoyed what this book was about. Even for a paranormal type of book it was realistic and the characters were down to earth <- lol literally!

I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. I was hooked on the book by the end of chapter one and by the time I hit chapter 4 I was engrossed. Any reservations I had about the hot guy that would make you swoon left as soon as I met AJ. I just wish that there was more of him in the book. He's a pivotal character in the book and one of my favorites but he's only one of the love interests for Nardia.
Nardia is a senior nurse at the hospital, which is where a majority of this story takes place. She has the ability to heal people with just a touch, but she can't go around healing everyone or people would find out her secret. Usually she knows when she's suppose to heal someone other times she has to be told. Besides being able to heal people she's unable to die and has been around for about 392 years. She doesn't remember anything about her childhood before she woke up in St. Giles in a abandoned building.
Regan is Dr. at the hospital that Nardia works at. He's attractive and the other love interest of Nardia's but there's something about him that I don't like. He seems like the perfect gentleman and a good guy. Regan becomes close to the new Dr. who starts at the hospital. He really seems to admire him and is constantly talking about Dr. Jeffries and singing his praises to Nardia. When I first me Dr. Jeffries I had an instant dislike of him and by the time I reached the end of the book I knew why.
AJ is considering purchasing the coffee shop that Nardia frequents on a daily basis. He and Nardia have an instant attraction to one another. She's the reason he's there and considering buying the coffee shop. The reason behind that will be revealed later on in the book. AJ is definite swoon worthy material. He can cook, makes awesome coffee, a great lover, and when he sings he has the ability to bring back memories of Nardia's past. The past she doesn't remember.
Aria Williams thank you so much for this book. You drew me into the story and I became so engrossed that I lost all track of time. I absolutely loved this book even though it ends with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the second book to come out so I can find out what happens. I truly great story that I would recommend to all.

I am going to be totally honest here, I wasn’t sure if I would like this book. It’s not my ‘usual cup of tea’, but as it turns out it was absolutely fantastic! I ended up reading straight through the night and dragging my behind into work the next day without going to sleep. Ok, so that happens quite often but the important thing is that the Fall From Grace series looks like it is off to an AMAZING start!

Aria Williams developed an extremely intriguing story, not the usual thing you find in books. This book’s uniqueness, in the end, only made it more appealing. I noticed that some other people said the medical portion in the beginning was too much for them, but I thought it was tastefully included and was really necessary to understand Nardia’s life.

Nardia’s character wasn’t very likeable in the beginning but I began to see parts of her that wormed their way into my heart, she really was very likeable. Maybe it was the backstory but I found her character to be extremely well developed and found that you weren’t lacking the information, emotions and ‘vibes’ you need to connect with a character in a book.

I absolutely adored AJ! I loved how he helped bring back memories for Nardia and the fact that he is not only hot but caring as well. I just wish that there was a lot more of AJ in this book and a lot less of Regan. Regan kind of made my skin crawl, I didn’t like him from the very beginning.

I loved the concept of angel, healer, hospital, doctors and nurses mixed together. It is such a logical procession that it amazes me we don’t see more books like this. After all, modern medicine provides many miracles today. You can open any newspaper and read about ‘miracles’ happening in hospitals all the time. So I thought the hospital was the PERFECT setting for this book!

I thought the book was unique, right down to how Nardia starts regaining her memories. Which, I want to point out here, is one of the best things about this story.

Basically, I CANNOT wait for book #2! I am going to be keeping an eye out for it because I will get it the day it is released! Although I would prefer to start reading the second one immediately, I mean why wait when they are that good?

Picking up Banished From Grace, I immediately felt myself warm to the main character, Nardia, and slip into the story so easily it was as though I had picked up a book in the middle of a series and had already grown to know the characters and the authors style of writing, but this is the first book of Aria Williams' I have ever read so it was a pleasant surprise.
Nardia is a nurse, but she is a 400 year old nurse! She has no idea why she never ages, but she does know she has the power to heal the sick, but she cannot willingly do so, she is under orders as to who she can and cannot heal. Almost at the same time, Nardia begins to have growing relationships with two men, the dishy doctor from the hospital, who is the safe bet, then the exciting and hunky AJ, who seems to have more to him than meets the eye.
Eventually, the truth comes out, about who Nardia is, and AJ, and a threat emerges in the form of a new doctor at the hospital, and it leads to an interesting opening into the next book in the Fall From Grace series.

It sounds like there is a whole lot going on in this book, but it is fast paced and really easy to keep up with. As well as Nardia's work and relationships with the doctor and AJ, there is another brilliant storyline running throughout the whole book that includes a family that wind up in the hospital, and how Nardia needs to help them. I really enjoyed this part of the story.
I really liked Aria's style of writing, and how easy and comfortable it was to read. The only reason I knocked a star off is because it seems on the odd occasion the author seemed to lose track of her own writing and things she had mentioned earlier in the book had changed slightly later on, and threw me into confusion at times.

Most people have heard about the Angel of Death but have you ever heard of the counterpoint, the Angel of Life? Meet Nardia a beautiful young woman with a very unique calling. Did I say young? Nardia was born in the fourteenth century and her talent (aside from not aging) is that she has the power to save the near dying or recently expired. This isn’t a calling she takes lightly and has actively sought victims requiring her talents in battlefields and hospitals all over the world. Through the centuries she has been no stranger to love but her situation required that she relocate ever so often and deserting her chosen partner. As time passed her partner naturally grew old while she remained the same and that would eventually be noticed. Her present dilemma started when she met A.J. at her favorite coffee shop. He was everything she wanted but nothing she could have. She feared that if she let love take its natural course, she would never be able to let him go. It is promising and refreshing to see that the passing of time hasn’t dulled her thoughts or robbed her of the ability to fall in love. The author presents a cornucopia of different dress and hair styles that read as a foreign language to me as I was not familiar with their nomenclatures. It isn’t what I expected but when the last page was read and in the time of reflection I felt short-changed; it could and should have been so much more. Well, unlike Nardia, we live in a world where things are as they are and not as we would like them to be, this book is what it is and not what I wished it to be. With that said I found it refreshing, interesting, and unique (and if this is any indication of the author’s other work; promising). This story is good but falls short of awesome. Many people should enjoy it.

Nice start to a new series. The only thing worse than living for thousands of years with no memory of who you are and where you come from is finding out your past is something you never could have imagined. Nardia has been alive for a very long time and because of her healing abilities she always knew she was special. But she didn't know why until he met the sexy and mysterious AJ. Just when she thinks she can't handle anymore she starts to feel ill and it seems like the new doctor at work is out to make her life miserable. She couldn't be more right and we quickly start to see there is more going on here than we understand. Honestly in the beginning Nardia bugged me a little bit. I felt like the first half of the book she was a bit whiny and indecisive and I had a hard time connecting with her character. Still I did think it was good and I could definitely see it getting really good as the characters grow through the series and more of the story is revealed but just as it got really interesting and I started to get invested in the story BAM cliffhanger! I did really enjoy AJ's character and hope to see Nardia's character evolve as the series continues and she learns more about what's going on. I also look forward to seeing how her relationship with AJ grows. Overall it was still a pretty good book and in my opinion worth a read.

Nardia woke up with no memory of who she was, but discovered she had a gift. She could heal those around her and with the guidance of an Angel has lead her life she best she could for the last 400 years. But now suddenly things are changing, and she has to figure out why she is falling for a man she feels she shouldn't when another seems to be the better match for her.

Nardia is strong and cares for those around her, she has a gift and never once thought of doing anything besides helping others. In many ways she is old, but in others you see her as very young. When she is passionate about something she goes after it full heartidly.

This story had its highs and lows for me. The consept was very interesting and is definitely what got me interested in reading. When it comes to Nardia and her life it seemed like there was too much information about the mundaine things in her life, while the paranormal aspect was left lacking a bit. At times there were pieces of the story I felt were missing and didn't understand references made. Overall the story was ok, just wished for a little something more at times.

The heroine in this novel, Nardia, is a very special character, as I believe that most reader will be able to empathise with her on some level.
The character relationships in this novel are described and played out so perfectly, it makes the audience want to read that little bit more to find out what happens next.
The love triangle between Nardia, AJ and Regan is a very exciting one, you're never too sure that Nardia has settled with her choice, which leaves you wanting more. There is just the right amount of sex to get young audiences hooked, but doesn't cross the line of being too graphic.
In true Aria Williams fashion, the cliffhanger ending is fantastic, I never saw it coming, and am eagerly awaiting the next installment to see how it pans out.
Well done, a fantastic piece of literature.

OMG, when does the next book come out?! There were times I wanted to shake Nardia, and times I felt like I needed to defend her. Is it the Libra in me? Maybe, but I could see where she was coming from, and I could reason with why she was doing some of the things she did...

My Rating

3.5 Brom, Benilde, Gladys, Murder, Alcohol, Taxi, Latte, Doubles, Healing, Music, Destiny filled stars! I have so many questions or I would have rated this story more...I am highly anticipating more answers in the upcoming books, so I’m sure my rating will increase :) I recommend this book for anyone that loves Angels, Paranormal, and love triangles, with a dollop of sexy steamy action. ;)

Another miss with this Amazon freebie / Paranormal Romance. As I am discovering this genre (PR) I have had a hit or miss experiance with the books I am reading. And this book unfortunately for me was a BIG MISS.

I didn't find the story line all that intriguing and I found the style of writing to be really old. And by that I mean I felt like an older woman was telling the story. I don't know if this was done intentionally because the POV is from a character who is over 400 years old or if this is just the writing style of Aria Williams in general.

It took all I had to finish this book.

Banished from Grace is a great start in a new series. We first heard of AJ and Nardia in Heavenly Hell so it was great to read a story about them. This book is about Nardia who is a nurse at her local hospital. So a lot of it is medical but that is to be expected, she is a nurse after all. Nardia is unique because she has special healing powers and can heal the sick. It isn't until AJ arrives that Nardia pieces her life together, or what her life was. There is some romance in this between Nardia and AJ and Nadia and Regan. Because of this triangle I wanted to scream at Nardia at times for the choices she makes. The very end of this book blew me away with the cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the next instalment of this series.

Holy smokes! For someone who isn't much of a fan of books with romance and angels, I can honestly say that I enjoyed Banished From Grace by Aria Williams. I was instantly glued and determined to finished after reading the first chapter. The story is unique. To me, it was a breath of fresh air. I did wish though that it wasnt as fast paced as it was. There were moments were I wanted more. Nardia is an enjoyable heroine. She definitely kicks some A. She's kind and is very passionate about what she does. How lucky Nardia is! Two love interests?!?! I don't want to spoil it, but I was definitely on Team AJ from the beginning. Overall, I definitely recommend picking up a copy of this book! Happy Reading!

I started reading the story around ten pm. I was done with the book by 12:30. I was hooked after the first chapter. Aria does a fantastic job of keeping you entertained and bringing you into the story. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of her work. I was also offered a copy of her other book, Heavenly Hell but I truly enjoyed Banished from Grace that will be buying it the second I am done with this review to support the author. Now, Aria please hurry up with the second book! I need to know what happens next!

Lots of hotness in this book let me tell you what. This book reminds me of Shanora Williams's 'Obtained' (which I very much loved) "how was I supposed to tell you that once we were heavenly angels, who, against all the rules, fell in love, and when the other angels found out we were punished?" I didn't like how AJ sort of deceived Nardia but I guess if I was in his position I would have done the same. Didn't like the ending as it was a cliffhanger and anyone who knows me knows I hate them, but other then the cliffhanger this book is worth the read.

I loved Banished From Grace. I was drawn in from the first few pages, loved the story line and the characters, AJ sounds very dreamy. Was easy to read. I enjoyed the entire novel and was left wanting more, so I can't wait to read the next installment from Aria (if there is one). I think this is a must read for everyone who enjoy reading paranormal stories. If you loved this go and purchase Heavenly hell which is also a fantastic read by Aria Williams.

Banished from Grace #1 is a wonderful easy to read book. The storyline has depth and holds the reader's attention. There are several surprises along the way with the various characters. Each character is full-bodied with lots of his/her own quirks. The storyline about a hard working, dedicated nurse who can also heal expands into a completely different direction by the end of the book. Can't wait for the next one.
