I thought the story was interesting. I wondered though, if the thoughts and language coming from the characters flushed well with their respective ages. Is Anna really smart, or just more aware because she has a caretaker who's a part of the old government? So much detail went into the HUTT and buildings and how things were run which was good because I love detail, but I didn't necessarily feel the same about Anna's descriptions of herself, or her friends through her eyes. At 16 I was boy crazy and could talk about all the little details I saw and liked! Glad to see later in the story some of that emotion and vision was flushed with her feelings towards Hunter, but I wanted a little more. I also wondered about the main characters vocabulary. Seemed all relatively simple, not complex, which I felt could have made Anna seem like a more intelligent, strong character. At the same time, it made me wonder if the community seemed so simple because OF the HUTT and their possible deliberate lack of education to keep people blind to the bigger picture...it could go either way. I thought it was a fairly quick read, and will definitely want to see what happens next and how time passes by.
