L. Chapman was born in and continues to live in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. She has spent most of her life helping others as a health care assistant, and was, at one time, a DJ for a special needs club. Blending her love of helping others and her love of children, L dreams to one day own and operate a childcare nursery that will help mainstream special needs children with others. In the rare times that L. is not working to help others or maniacally writing, she enjoys making a mess of things while creating beautifully detailed greeting cards. She spends time relaxing with family, friends, and good books. L. loves to travel and has been to many places in the United Kingdom; her favorite places all involve the ocean. She hopes to one day share a kiss with her happily-ever-after in the romantic shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Should she ever get over her fear of flying, those kisses may be shared in the shadows of the Egyptian Pyramids. Ever the fussy eater, L. has never once tasted peanut butter, and she despises coffee. If you should feel the need to bribe her, it is suggested that you bring chocolate, as that is one of her know weaknesses.
I loved this. This book in the series was a lot more sexier than book 1.
Well the story continues with Jenny and Rich & their wedding plans. Jenny is busy getting things finalised before her big day. Megan is there for her & throws her an amazing "Hen Do"
Unfortunately Rich doesn't seem as keen as he should be. He has a secret, that may destroy Jenny.
This is a really easy book to read. All the characters are great, I wish i lived near them. It is a lovely story, and very sexy.
I love the way L.Chapman writes, she helps you believe in the characters & how they behave.

I fell in love with L. Chapman's writing in 'Trust' book 1 of the Believe Series, and I have to say that this follow up blew me away.
You think you know how this story is going to play out but as you read it, L. Chapman slaps you in the face and says 'think again sweetheart'. Never did I expect Jenny's story to unravel the way it did.
Of course, we met Jenny in book 1 and I liked her character than, but when we get to see some much more of her in Veiled, I now realise I love her to bits. With her wedding day only a month away, we experience so many things with Jenny and of course her best friend Megan. Her hen's night which was excellent, the distance Rich is creating between them and his reason and resulting consequences for the distance, the meeting of a new delicious man and unexpected surprises as well.
The friendship between Jenny and Megan is one that I think a lot of woman would envy, they are each others constant and they support each other no matter what. Megan's boyfriend Mark also appears in the story again and every reason I fell for him in book 1 is still apparent in this book.
The twist for Rich was something I was completely shocked with and his actions towards Jenny broke my heart, I don't think I have ever read a character that changes so completely.
But enter Warren James in all his beautiful glory and Jenny's story gets VERY interesting. He handles everything thrown at him with such understanding and support for Jenny that you can help but swoon and wish he was yours.
I will openly admit that at the end of the book I contacted L. Chapman because I thought my kindle was playing up and I didn't get all of the story.... There is no way the story could possibly end like that.... When she got back to me it took everything in me not to throw myself on the floor kicking and screaming 'Noooooooooooo'. You are killing me L. Chapman by leaving it like that and making me wait for more :)
Seriously though, L. Chapman truly made this story hard to put down and it ended wayyyyy to quickly from my liking. I love these characters and I will wait VERY IMPATIENTLY for book 3 to be released, because I HAVE to see where their lives are heading and find out all the unanswered questions this book left in it's wake.
Veiled has cemented the fact that I will without a doubt read absolutely anything that this author writes. It was a brilliant, exciting, surprising and an all round wonderful read.
I absolutely recommend that you read The Believe Series by L. Chapman, you wont be disappointed :)
***A big thanks to L. Chapman for providing me with a copy of her book in exchange for an honest review***
4.5 Stars
I am totally blown away by L. Chapman’s writing in the Believe Series. After reading Trust I should have known to expect the unexpected, but I never imagined the jaw dropping twist and turns that would come in Veiled.
Veiled is Jenny’s story, it begins a month before her scheduled wedding to Rich. Jenny feels that Rich has been distant for a while, and even though she is feeling confused with this situation she still continues with the plans for her dream wedding. Jenny confides her insecurities with her best friend Megan and she advises her that it might be pre-wedding nerves.
As the wedding gets closer Rich is more and more distant. Jenny encourages Rich to take up his friend Luke’s offer to go away to Vegas for a few days to help relieve some of the wedding stress.
After a hard day at work Jenny is off to a coworker’s farewell dinner party with the intention of releasing some stress. This is when once again she comes face to face with Mr. James. There is an intense chemistry between them and Jenny feels it. Even though she tries to keep her distance from Mr. James he continues his pursuit.
All along I believed that maybe Rich was in love with Megan and was having trouble letting Jenny know. Once his secret was revealed my jaw literally dropped and my heart broke for Jenny. Due to certain decision and circumstances she is once again reunited with Warren James.
Overall this book kept me at the edge of my seat. Once I picked it up I was not able to put it down until I finished it. Only to find out that it ended in a cliffhanger!!! I look forward to reading what L. Chapman has in store for us in the next installment for the Believe Series and pretty much anything else she decides to write.
**ARC** This is book 2 in the Believe Series and I absolutely LOVED this book. It moved so much faster than Trust. I could not put it down, I was living Jenny’s Life as she was when it was spiralling out of control. You definitely learn so much more about the people you feel in love with in the first book and it gives us an insight to how Jenny thinks. She really is a great friend to have. This book took a turn that left my mouth hanging open by the end, telling myself that “I never saw that coming!!” I can’t wait to see what else L.Chapman has up her sleeve in the rest of the Series. Jenny is preparing for her wedding day to Rich. It is something that she has dreamed of her whole life. She wants it over the top and something no one has seen done before.
Jenny starts to feel as if Rich is pushing her away and for the first time in 5 years she doesn’t know what to do about it. She is hoping that he is just getting nervous about the wedding and it will pass afterwards.
Jenny absolutely cherishes the relationship she has with Megan and is in love with her daughter Lucy. She tries to not bother Megan with her problems with Rich because she knows that Megan is very busy being a mom to Lucy. So when Jenny tells Megan she will meet her at the Dress store for their final fitting, she has no idea just how much things she believes about herself and her relationship are about to change.
Jenny walks into the local Smoothie place getting herself and Megan some drinks to get through the fittings they are about to go through. She is greeted by a man she has never seen in there before. She is trying hard not to stare at him but it is almost impossible to do. He is the most amazing man she has ever laid eyes on in her life and she starts feeling bad since she is on the way to try on her wedding dress.
Megan had planned one hell of a Hen Do party for Jenny. Jenny never saw him coming that night or seeing things that happened, happening. How can she feel like this about a guy who she doesn’t know? Will these feelings ruin her chances at a happily ever after with Rich or will his distance put a wedge between them that she won’t be able to come back from?
Veiled by L. Chapman is a story about losing the one you love and finding someone when you least expect it. Jenny is put through more than one could imagine as she begins to feel her pending nuptials are in danger of panning out. Her fiancé, Rich, has become withdrawn in their relationship. Feeling lost and in need of a girls night, she meets a handsome stranger in a bar. Warren turns out to be the spark she was missing in her life.
Much to Jenny’s surprise, she finds her husband with another man. He is honest with her and explains the possibility of a health risk. The two are not on speaking terms thanks to this shocking revelation. After tests and full disclosure to Warren, they continue to get closer with their feelings. Knowing her whole world is changing right before her eyes, Jenny decides to move on the best she can and let things take their rightful course.
Veiled ends one happy ending and gives hope to finding a new one. The plot moves quickly as it seems a black cloud is following Jenny everywhere she goes. Her share of bad luck surely must be about to end soon. I was happy to see Mark and Megan were still going strong in their relationship. Baby Lucy is cherished and loved by her little family. Unfortunately, it was hinted that there would be upcoming turmoil with Lucy’s custody. This book ends with another cliffhanger and we will have to wait to see exactly what pans out in the series.
Another great book by L Chapman. This one is a lot different than Trust, and I believe it is my favorite book. I love that this book wasn’t predictable and the twist and turns that were thrown in there made this book rock solid. I love L Chapman, I love her writing style, her story telling, and the characters she uses. She is great with the details and this book has no dull moments. I read this book in one sitting. It is super-fast paced, beautifully writing, and exciting. This is Jenny and Rich’s story. She is getting ready to marry Rich. Getting ready for a wedding period is hard. So just imagine what she is going through. She finds out some things about Rich and my mouth dropped when the secret is revealed. I was in utterly shock. I really am glad L threw that twist in there. I love Megan and Jenny’s friendship it is strong and solid. Megan is always there for Jenny and Vice Versa. Then steps in my boyfriend I mean Warren. He is sexy, smart and he definitely makes the book more interesting. Then Jenny finds out something big that is going on with her. What does she do? What happens when Jenny uncovers the secret about her fiancé? Will she run into Warren’s arms or Megan’s? This is a must read book and series!! L is a genius.
The thing I love about this author is that she doesn't write the predictable story. There is a lot of "I can't believe that" in her books.
The book started out fine in the beginning. Jenny is getting ready for her big day. Her soon to be husband starts to become distant and she wants to know why. Her best friend Megan thinks maybe its pre-wedding jitters. Jenny is really concerned about this, but she keeps it to herself. She continues on with the wedding plans, all the while thinking there is something not quite right.
One night Rich comes home one night angry. All of his secrets are about to be revealed. Finding out whats happening, she still wonders if they will still have their big day.
She figured with the stress from the wedding, she needed to have a night out with some friends. She ends up meeting Mr. James. As they dance together you can tell theirs chemistry between them. Does Jenny succumb to her urges??
After everything that has happened between Jenny and Rich, will they have their happily ever after, or will it all slip away.
This book was reviewed as part of a blog tour and author feature week over on Lily Loves Indie, but here is a little snippet of the review....
This story follows on from Trust, but is now told from the perspective of Jenny, as she prepares for the wedding of her dreams, but will it all go to plan? With skeletons hiding in so many of Jenny and Rich's closets, it's just a matter of time before they come out into the open, but will they cause havoc enough to cancel the wedding?
I have to say, I found this book instantly more enjoyable and engaging than 'Trust'. Chapman really does draw you into this story much quicker and more much completely, which is wonderful from a reader's point of view as it enables us to dive straight in. I'm not entirely sure if this is because we are already familiar with the key characters or if it has something to do with an improvement in writing style, but either way, it is a great step in the right direction.
I adored Trust, which was the first book in this series. I thought I knew where Veiled was headed. After all we read all about how Jenny and Rich were getting married and about to live happily ever after. But wow did I not see this coming!
Rich is gorgeous and a complete ass. Seriously I did not expect to feel so much anger and hurt and betrayal from his character. L. Chapman made me cry! But she made up for it with Warren, awww gorgeous and sexy and sweet Warren. This is a man I would sell my soul to have! And the way he treats Jenny is amazing!
We do get to see Megan and Mark in this book a lot too, which I LOVE. I love them more now than I ever have in fact. Megan is there for Jenny and helps her through some pretty rough moments. This book is all about the feels!
I have just one gripe...the ending! Damn you L. Chapman! Do you know I am dying over here? But seriously this book topped Trust for me, which I couldn't put down! You have to read this!
I give it 5 lipsticks! It's steamy and heartbreaking and romantic and devastating all at once!

Every girl wishes for the perfect wedding day, even Jen but her one true love Rich starts pulling away just a few weeks before their big day. Without hesitation Rich takes off to Vegas with a friend and doesn't have a second thought for his bride-to-be. I wanted to slap this boy silly and scream at him to make up his bloody mind. So when Jen meets Warren and starts to feel again, it was awesome. Talk about swoon! The sex scenes were very hot and steamy.
My stomach was in knots when Jen found the dumb nut Rich in a rather compromising position with a male friend of theirs. This is when I truly wanted to slap the boy and I was praying that Warren would come save the day. Which, he does.
I love that Megan and Mark support Jen through out the book, such amazing friendship. Through everything that Jen has gone through I was so happy to see Warren step up and take care of her, even though her mind was all over the place. I am looking forward to more in this series.
I think most girls want the fairytale life Prince Charming the castle and all the trimmings. Jen certainly did and thought she had all that and more. She has the awesome best friend, the man that is supposed to be her prince and one amazing HenParty. Then the secrets start to unfold and life isn't exactly what it seems anymore for Jen. Will it ever be the same, will she have her fairytale life or do the secrets crush her dreams and leave Jen with nothing more than the dream of what her life is supposed to be. Veiled reveals more of a story than I myself was expecting and I was thrilled by every juicy detail! L. Chapman is a talented writer and I am thrilled to have found a new interest in. The Believe series is so far a very well written true to life series taking on more real life situations I truly love that about this series.
Jen's dream wedding is one short month away, and she is in full swing prepairing everything in amusing OCD form. Her husband-to-be Rich has been acting wierd, distant, not to mention the sex has become crap. As the day pulls closer more and more things change.
Is Rich really who she's meant to be with? Things just feel so wrong with him and right with another man?
After a boat load of shocking news all the way around will her happily ever after be with... Rich or Warren?
Fun, short read, and a whole lot of crazy happening to poor Jen just when everything is supposed to go right.
This is the second book in the believe series,Jen is a strong independent woman who can't wait for her fairy tail wedding with rich, but what if one off chance meeting and a giant string of lies changes the course of everything you thought you knew. Rich seems to be hiding something Jen doesn't feel as connected to him as the wedding gets closer. When Jen goes out for a coworkers going away could another chance meeting throw off her happy ever after or could it lead to the happy ever after she's always dreamed of along with a giant secret of her own.
I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. I love this series Trust started it off and that book was wonderful. Different then regular romance books I have read. Then she continued with Jenny and Marc's wedding. The wedding that Jenny always dreamed of. But you don't see what's coming...all I'm going to tell you this isn't the way Jenny's BIG day was supposed to turn out.....I can't wait to read more about these great characters....Now go one click it....to find out what happens. :)
This book was amazing. I love the characters, however my view on one character changed. I loved the whole build up to the wedding, I loved the hen party (L can ya come organise a party for me? ha ha) Also some delicious eye candy. Ladies be prepared for a fight....... Warren is mine. Great story, love all the chemistry, and I also still love Mark and Megan (Trust). Well done on another great book. proud of you.
This is book 2 of the believe series and it continues the story with following jenny and her fiance . Again it is another easy read with a good paced story and characters that are adorable.
We have seen that their past may not be as happy as made out and as we read on we get to find out about what they are hiding. We continue to read how strong a bond she has with her bestie and how they both help each other out when needed but a new character in the name of Warren also appears to bring some hot and sexy scenes . It also shows signs of some potential storyline for the next book in the series.
Will there be a wedding or will the secrets be too much? What will the future be like for the couples, are they strong enough to withstand what is in front of them ?
The second book in the believe series follows Jenny and Rich on the lead up to their wedding. Instead of being the happiest time in her life, Jenny uncovers truths and that happily ever after a might not be all they seem.
Another short but cute instalment to the series, giving us an alternate perspective, whilst also dipping into her best friend (Megan)’s life giving us insight on where they are following the first story. A little predictable at times, but sweet, short and easy to read nonetheless.
Veiled is the second book in the Believe Series. I enjoyed this book. It kept me interested and it kept me feeling emotionally tied to Jenny and Meagan. This book shows you what a good friend should be. It also shows you the importance of being safe when having sex. There is some unanswered questions left in the end so I'm willing to bet there will be a book #3 in the Believe Series!
I have received an ARC copy of all book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This series were my first books by Ms Chapman and although I did enjoyed the concept of the books, the style of writing was not really appealing for me.
Trust - Believe #1 - 3,5 stars
In here we meet Megan. Young woman who was hurt by her ex-boyfriend, who left her after she discovered he is married and has kids. The only thing that was left after him, and will change Megan's whole life, is the small person that will be soon born. One night she meets Mark. Handsome and never-giving up man. Straight away she feels the pull towards him. They start off as friends and quickly feelings are developed. Although, I liked Megan, I found her a bit too naive. And Mark? In this book he was a bit way too creepy for me. The way he was scared of loosing Megan after few days of meeting her made my cringe and have shivers. Bad ones.
The book has a lot of potential and if the story was placed within months not days of developing serious feelings it would be perfect.
Veiled - Believe #2 - 4 stars
This story is about Megan's best friend: Jenny. She is 31 days before her wedding with her fiance, Rich. Everything is supposed to be perfect, but Rich is different. He has changed. He doesn't want cuddles, all their routines are different and also their intimate life from being spontaneous changed to quickies. Jenny is depressed because of that. And one night, when Rich is off to Vegas to "think" she meets Warren. Handsome, stubborn. A one night stand changes everything for both of them.
Again this story had so much potential, but again way TOO many things happened way too quickly. I liked Megan's and Jenny's Friendship. You can see that they are really close.
Do you believe - Believe #2.5 - 4 stars
This story was sweet. It's again from POV of Megan. They are all preparing to have Christmas together at Megan's house. Everything would be perfect, but Megan's ex-boyfriend starts to send letters and messages to Lucy, Megan's daughter, saying that he will take full custody of her and they will be together. Again creepy, but this time I like this creepy as something was happening.
Enjoyable short story, full of love, magic and Christmas spirit.
Redeemed - Believe #3 - 4,5 stars
This book was awesome and to be honest it saved the whole series! Here we have suspense, danger and tough choices that Megan has. She is not sure what is best for her and Mark. She is put in the situation where she has to chose between him and her daughter. And despite how much she loves him, Lucy is her world. But of course there is the happy ending, but the road to it is sad and heartbreaking.
I was not sure if I would be able to finish all the books because of the style of the writing. Sometimes I found the sentences not finished or thoughts that were not really well developed. Also First 2 books were written almost like a shopping list. Pointing what has happened. But I have to admit that the writing has improved and I hope Ms Chapman will continue writing because the ideas of the books are good.
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
WOW I just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters, and how the book turn out to be, I have to say this book made me mad at some part, but I love how it end it, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
The story begging with Jenny, Jenny is Megan best friend, she is getting ready for a dream wedding, she had being planning her wedding for a while now, she is happy and in love with Rich, but now that the weeding date is only a month away, things start to happened, the day that she cooked Rich his favorite dinner, and wore what he like on her, she notice that he was acting strange, that day after his run he got back home, took a shower and had a quickie with Jenny and took her to bed, everything that he did that night was out of his personality, and Jenny knew that, that was the night that she knew everything was changing, will she get to have a wedding dream after all.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, love the new character, I love the friendship that she has with Megan, and I really hope that Jenny gets a second book, Author L. Chapman THANK YOU for this awesome characters and this great series love it.
This is book 2 in the believe series. I really don't think that you have to read the first book to understand what happens in this one. It's time for Jenny's wedding to Rich. Jenny is looking forward to her hen party. Megan organized her hen party. She invited Rich's sister Michelle. Jenny is so busy organizing the wedding that her love life with Rich isn't the same. Rich is having doubts about marrying Jenny and is pulling away from her the reason behind isn't discovered until late in the book. This is a story of many characters. Jenny is very organized and strong. Megan is a strong, caring, and very helpful. Mark is Megan's boyfriend he is very strong and caring. Rich is Jenny's fiance isn't sure if he wants to get married anymore. Warren is a very strong and caring individual. You first meet Warren in this book. When Jenny and Warren meet there is an instant attraction. This is a another great story by L. Chapman. Again what sold me was how well the characters were developed and how they fit together. Another reason why I loved this book is because the flow of the story is really good. I truly enjoyed this book!!
ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review. Veiled is book 2 in the Believe series.
Jenny is about to get married. She is counting down the days to her upcoming wedding. Jenny has been looking forward to this day for the last five years. Rich, her fiancee has been acting weird and she doesn't know if this just wedding jitters or something more serious. He is not supportive or caring about the details. He is becoming detached from the whole event.
Rich has a huge secret and this could break Jenny. Luckily for her she meets a sexy stranger by the name of Warren. He may be the one to make her realize what a huge mistake she is about to make. Can she fix it before it is too late?
I liked Jenny's character since Trust. She was very supportive of Megan. I 'm glad she got her own book. I know the story is not done and now Megan can have a huge situation coming up in the next book. I will read the next one to find out the outcome.
I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!
Jenny has planned a fairytale wedding since she was a little girl. As Jenny and Rich countdown the big day will they make it to their wedding or will secret revelations turn their whole world upside down?
Veiled, is not your average romance story. What should be the happiest time of their lives turned out to be craziest! I couldn’t relate to Jenny as well as I did in book #1 of the series, however my heart truly ached for her with all the emotional turmoil she was going through. Megan’s character has grown since book #1; she is much stronger and happier. I would have given Veiled a 5 star rating had the writing and storyline been more developed and defined. I’m looking forward to what book #2.5 has in store for Jenny and Megan.
If you love romances that have unlikely twists you will enjoy Veiled, however to fully enjoy the Believe series I recommend reading Trust book#1 before reading Veiled.
I am very happy to state, that L Chapman surprised me with “Veiled”. She really dives deep in with her characters. Whatever you think of after reading “Trust”. You’re in for a big surprise with “Veiled”.
Veiled takes up months after the Birth Of Lucy. Now we’re with Jen as the main character. Her counting down the day to her big day with Rich the love of her life.
Have they really moved on with what happened at Megan’s house?
I really want to say so much more, but sadly I can’t, cause I would be spoiling the heck out of the story. I can’t be a spoiler.
I will leave you with this, where Megan was a bit guarded and Dry with herself. Jen is anything but. Her story is a whole loads naughtier. Even where I stated DAMN!
With that 5 Stars for “Veiled” and I can’t wait to start “Do you Believe”

This book is told from the point of view of Jenny, Megan’s best friend. I was interested in her and her fiancé when reading the first book, and was delighted to see the second book focused on them. Jenny and Rich are planning their wedding. It is the fairytale Jenny has always wanted, but Rich is growing distant as the big day approaches. He is not excited about the wedding, and their sex life is not as good as it had been. Rich is keeping a secret from Jenny that I did not see coming, as was Jenny’s one night stand. The twist is unexpected and shocking. The book had me on the edge of my seat, and I could not put it down. I was excited to find out Rich’s secret, and what would happen next as I read it.

HOLY SMOKES!!! 5 Star PLUS!! I loved this book over book 1. I love book 1 don't get me wrong but what L. Chapman did with Jen's story was totally amazing. Book 1 we meet Jen who was engaged to Rich and Jen was best friends with Megan. Well This book is all about Jen and Rich and their wedding? Yes Megan is a best friend everyone would want and is there for Jen no matter what. L Chapman you put so many twists in this story that I love. I highly recommend the Believe Series. L.Chapman this series is getting better and better. A page turner this one was. Especially when it took me about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to read cause it was THAT DAMN GOOD!!!! LOVE IT!!
The second book in The Believed series by L. Champman and I loved this book from fhe start. What happens when everything you have dreamed off since a child comes crashing down around you? Jenny is looking forward to her big day, a day she has dreamed off and planned forever, but one secret comes out and that dream comes crashing down. Warren is a strong handsome dreamy business man that had him love at first sight with Jenny, he is her knight in shinning armour and leaves is falling in love with him just as much, i love Jenny and Warren, they are great together. Just cause one door closes doesn't mean another one won't open with bigger and better options,
