From the author of Dangerously Broken comes the third novel in the Dangerous Romance trilogy.
Being bad never felt so good…
Duff Stewart has two specialties: restoring vintage motorcycles and doing bad things to beautiful girls at New Orleans’s most notorious BDSM club. And there's no girl he'd rather be with than the stunning Layla Chouset.
Layla has sworn off relationships with Dominant men, but there's something about the gorgeous Scotsman, and he is determined to win her heart. She may agree to submit to his every want and desire, but can she submit to love...?

Eden Bradley has done it again! Dangerously Bad is one of the very best BDSM erotic novels I've ever read. I have several favorite authors in this genre but Ms. Bradley is in the top two. (I honestly can't choose between my two favorites!) To say that Dangerously Bad is just good would be the worId's biggest understatement! It's the fourth in the Dangerous series, and she continues to demonstrate her exceptional skill as an author.
Dangerously Bad would be an unusual take on a BDSM story for any author. It's the story of Duff, a Scotsman transplanted to New Orleans, who's come to help his cousin, Jamie, expand his business. Duff is more than just a Dominant. He doesn't just wear the persona or act the part. It's who he is in every single fiber of his being. No one can be in his presence for more than a few seconds without realizing just how assertive, commanding and powerful he is. It's no surprise he's so passionate about everything in his life, particularly BDSM and restoring classic motorcycles. He's a perfectionist in every way, and every submissive he's met since he landed in New Orleans wants to be with him.
But Duff doesn't want any of the submissives he's met in New Orleans. No, since the first night he went to The Bastille, New Orleans' premiere BDSM club, he's had his eye on Layla, another Dominant! Duff can't help but feel the instant attraction at his first sight of Layla. Her beautiful green eyes, creamy toffee-colored skin, beautiful dark brown hair hanging in curls around her face, all combine to make her the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. But it's not just her beauty that draws Duff in. She's just as feisty, strong-willed and Dominant as Duff. And she might even be a better Dominant than Duff! Watching her throw a flogger or a whip, seeing how she works with the submissives at the club, the joy she finds in her Dominance and the care she takes with her submissives...anyone can see just how amazing a Domme she is. But Duff sees something in Layla than no one else does, and he's determined to tame this woman. this Domme. And, Duff being Duff, he makes no secret of his plans, much to Layla's dismay.
Tensions escalate until Layla decides she's had enough of Duff's innuendos, sly glances and comments. She shows up at SGR Motorcycles one day to tell him in no uncertain terms to back off and leave her alone. She's a Domme. He's a Dom. There's no way there will EVER be anything between them. But somehow between the time she storms into Duff's workspace, exasperated and beyond angry, and the time she tears out of the place after a blowup between the two, Duff lays a blistering hot kiss on her so scorching that it turns her world on its end. After almost literally running from Duff's office, she races home to try to figure out just what the hell happened and why her plan to put Duff Stewart in his place went so wrong!
Duff and Layla both have pasts filled with trauma and pain making them who and what they are today. Dangerously Bad isn't just the story of two Dominants in the BDSM lifestyle battling it out for supremacy over each other. It's a unique tale of two people, damaged and broken in so many ways, each not absolutely sure what they're looking for, each one certain that they'll never find what they want or need out of life but still searching for something that will make their lives whole and meaningful. The reader makes the journey with Duff and Layla along a roller coaster ride of emotions, both past and present. This is the genuine story of two imperfect people who are making their way through life in the best way they know how, with all the twists, turns, pitfalls, highs and lows of that adventure. In doing so, Ms. Bradley takes the reader on an incredibly realistic journey through not only the world of BDSM as seen through the eyes of Duff and Layla but through every subtle detail of the lives they're trying to build.
Ms. Bradley is an active participant in the BDSM lifestyle and knows the detailed nuances of that lifestyle. The details and knowledge of BDSM as portrayed in her novels are incredibly accurate. But, for me personally, it's not just the BDSM itself that made me love this story. Yes, I have a fascination with this lifestyle. But Ms. Bradley is a true storyteller in every sense of the word and has the ability to craft real, believable. relatable characters that the reader becomes invested in. Both the main and supporting cast of characters are completely developed and fully detailed. I was completely riveted from the first page to the last. I've read all four of the books in the Dangerous series, although I haven't yet had time to review the second and third books. (Believe me, the reviews are coming very soon!) But each book in this series is so totally engaging and enthralling that you won't be able to put it down once you've started reading!
One final comment. This is an ADULT book. It contains BDSM themes, explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy erotic romance with sexual/BDSM scenes and explicit language, PLEASE think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There's always a book synopsis on any bookseller's website with reviews available on Goodreads and any bookseller's website. PLEASE use these resources so you're sure the book you're buying is what you want to read. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide quality work. If you know before you buy any book that you'll object to the subject matter, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice. But if you do enjoy erotic BDSM romances with amazing characters and storylines, I highly recommend Dangerously Bad. It's an amazing novel and you'll love it! I give my unqualified highest recommendation! Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
Eden Bradley has done it again. I can't get enough of her books since she weaves a tale that, while hot and sexy, tugs at my heartstrings and opens my eyes to new things.
While this is book 3 in the Dangerous Romance series, it can be read as a stand-alone, but trust me be ready to go back and read books 1 and 2....
Her writing always gets me invested in each character and I want them in my life...why can't I have them?!? The woes of fictional friends ;) Whether you love or hate them, Eden Bradley will make you feel something about Duff and Layla (other characters too, trust me) and you will be aching to find out what happens next. The kinky sex is a delicious bonus to a well written and well developed story.
Layla Chouset has been burned by more than one Dom in the past, and that has played the major part in her fear of submitting these days. Now she is her own Domme when she plays, and will never submit to anyone again. That was working out well, until she meets a sexy Scotsman, who is the epitome of Dom, and she can't keep her craving for him under wraps. Duff Stewart is a super sexy Dom, who has to have submission from his partners. However, the day that he sees Layla, he knows that he must make her his. It's not easy for either of them, with their past baggage, but he knows that what they have is rare, so he sets out to convince Layla of that fact. I want to start out with the whole hotness factor of this story, as the FIERY FLAMES OF HOT, will take no panties prisoner, so the sexy time nearly short circuited me and my Kindle. That alone makes this a five star read for me, but that wasn't even all of the awesome. Duff had me at wearing a kilt, so I LOVED him hard, and that's rare, as usually Dom's make me mad at least once, but I would given all control up to him. And Layla, she was awesome, and while I understood her fears, there was a time or two when I wanted to shake her. So their baggage upped the ante for angsty goodness. Well placed humor kept me laughing, and add in a f-bomb worthy twist or two, made this more than a 5 star read in my opinion. Since I was late to the party of reading this talented author, I'm super excited to read more by her in the immediate future. So all that's left is to HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dangerously Bad to ALL AND SUNDRY!
Erotic, passionate with a touch of angst, the story of Kayla and Duff was well worth the read. I had not read the first 2 books in this series, so it took me a few chapters to get into and understand the dynamics between Kayla and Duff. However, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Well written and great characters with good chemistry, there was an added bonus of Eden superbly writing BDSM! 4.5 stars!
Gorgeous writing, deliciously damaged characters, insanely sexy and emotionally charged...Dangerously Bad is all of that and so much more. It is a beautiful story that will have your heart pounding within the first few pages, and won’t let up until you’ve devoured every last, sensuous drop. It is what I have come to expect from Eden Bradley because she never fails to deliver.
Duff and Layla couldn’t be more different, yet they are perfect for each other. Layla is determined to maintain a wall around her heart and never submit to another man. Duff is determined to tear down that wall stone by stone, with his bare hands if necessary. Their attraction to each other is immediate and palpable. It emanates from the pages and wraps itself around you like a living, breathing thing. Eden’s talent for crafting intensely beautiful kink adds luscious layers to these characters and serves to not only define but deepen their relationship. Dangerously Bad will overwhelm your emotions, stir up your libido, and leave you breathless while begging for more.
I received this book as an ARC thru a Goodreads contest. It took a me a few chapters to get into this book but once I did, I loved it. I think I needed to go back and read the first two books in the series. I loved how the tension between the two characters were written. You can tell the characters of Layla and Duff want to be with each other but each have their own demons. Layla has lack of trust and Duff has a bad relationship in his past. It was great to watch these two fight to be together. Get read for a great read and a fun ride.
Freaking Awesome!!! I'm honored Eden asked me to read and review her next release. She is one of my top favorite BDSM authors. This is another great addition to the Dangerous series. Duff and Layla are both easy to relate to and understand. He's from Scotland and sexy as hell. She's a home town New Orleans girl. She's a Domme and doesn't want to submit again but Duff just has this way about him that how can any girl not. Watching them both fall was fulfilling and a bit emotional. OMG the violet wand scene is to die for. Thank you Eden for sharing your love for writing and BDSM with the world.
I was really looking forward to this romance between a Dom and a Domme. I will admit that I haven't read the previous two books in the series and maybe that's where I went wrong with this. I thought I could pop in and read their story since each book features a different pair. Right away the book starts off with the sense that readers have already met these two characters and that they already have some sort of relationship/interaction between each other. It threw me for a loop when the story starts and we are immediately thrust in with an altercation between the two. However, it wasn't too bad and I was able to get my bearings. I think if I'd read the previous books I would have loved that this book just jumps right in with no background character development or information. With that being said, once I got my footing, I found myself uninterested in the couple. You have Duff who is a Dom, who's been eyeing Layla who is also a Top aka Domme. Instead of respecting that, he immediately, from the get-go pushes her to be his bottom, to submit to him. She has to keep telling him that she isn't a submissive and that she will never be anyone's sub. Yet, he asks her to imagine being his sub, pretend, maybe experiment and give it a try but at the same time is very VERY adamant that he will never be anyone's sub. I just didn't care for the fact that he pushes Layla to do something that she didn't believe in and wasn't willing to bend and try being HER sub. Who knows Duff, maybe YOU'D like it. I wound up not being able to finish this story because I just didn't care for Duff, couldn't connect with his or Layla's character, and ultimately felt like it was a lot of telling and didn't actually feel anything in the story itself. So who knows, maybe later in the book Duff does in fact allow Layla to Top him. But considering there's supposed to be a ton of trust in a Dom/sub relationship, I felt like Duff didn't foot the bill and he lost a lot of points with me for pushing Layla into doing something that fit HIS wants and needs.
Title: Dangerously Bad Series: Dangerous Book #3 Author: Eden Bradley Genre: Romance, Erotic Blurb: Being bad never felt so good…

Thoughts: This was my first time reading a book by Eden Bradley, and my first thoughts were that readers who love Roni Loren will also really enjoy books by this author. Their writing styles are very similar and I can easily see readers loving Roni Loren as well. With Dangerously Bad, I honestly enjoyed the characters and their chemistry with each other, and the storyline really drew me in. I did enjoy the fact that they actually sat down and discussed terms, concessions, and rules beforehand before they became intimate with each other. Very quickly though I became really conflicted regarding one thing – the fact that Layla kept telling Duff that she was a dominant and not a submissive and he kept pushing her to submit to him and be submissive with him – and yet he refused adamantly to consider the exact same thing he was asking of her! She is supposed to concede to him, but he is unwilling to give her that same respect and trust in return. That was a big turn off for me. So much so that it almost ruined my enjoyment of the book. I would definitely be willing to read other books by this author, but for me the issues I had reading the book were big enough to detract from my enjoyment of this one. I get big time excited when Eden Bradley has a new book out, because for people like me, she’s a goddess. I’m a subbie and not afraid to say it, while I don’t mind reading BDSM books written by authors not in the lifestyle, I do prefer it. Eden knows what she’s writing about, which makes the experience for me as a reader, writer, blogger and yes, a sub, way more satisfying.
So, I excitedly dove into the book and then I stopped. The brakes went on for a couple of reasons. One, I’m not a fan of interracial books where it’s the woman. And it’s not because i’m racial, it’s because I put myself in the characters place, so that just turns it off for me. Then, the biggest reason...Layla is a Domme. That usually makes me just toss the book aside and be done with it, and when it’s the “male dom converts female domme into sub” storyline, I usually stay as far away from the book as I can, BUT this is Eden Bradley, so I decided to keep on going with it. I’m very glad I did.
Eden did a fantastic job with recent Scotland transplant Duff Stewart, cousin to Jaime. A hot Scot in a kilt with a killer bod and a brogue? Um, yeah. You can bet I’d convert from a domme, a vanilla chick, even a nun, to get my hands on Duff. Luckily, our Domme doesn’t take most of the book to decide to submit to Duff. (another of my toss the book reasons) Smart girl. The scenes the two of them have are so hot I needed the AC cranked on high. Eden writes incredible sex scenes. Once again, I’m just blown away.
I read this immediately after finishing "Dangerously Broken". At first, I thought it sounded like it was going to be better than it's prequel. It started out so promising. But, please! Someone needs to educate Ms. Bradley on how to write a suspenseful story arc to keep the reader sticking to the story. She writes about how the couple relates swimmingly well together, and the only little obstacle that trips them up comes in the last 3 chapters. Without drama readers get bored. I was, quite literally, falling asleep while reading this book. The sex scenes were tepid, and the dialogue was overwhelming. I became tired of her lines about how Duff was enjoying "hurting" Layla during sex scenes.
Definitely a 5 star book! As usual Ms. Bradley created a beautiful sensual masterpiece that played with my heart and soul. I can definitely say this is my favorite book. The raw emotions that Eden brings out in the characters, making them almost real, alive in our mundane world. And let's not forget the kink. Hot damn! Duff has got to be hottest Dom next to his cousin, Jamie (who I absolutely adore!) The electrical play is admittedly my favorite part in the story. I highly recommend reading this book. It is the prefect blend of kink and heartwrenching emotion.
"All you have to do is be" the best line ever. This had to be the best one of the series. Their play left me wanting to try a wand (never thought of it till now). Truly having to let go and trust is the ultimate gift and no one expresses that like Eden Bradley.
Fast read, but disappointing from this author. I just couldn't get into the main character. She wasn't unlikable, but I just didn't feel one way or another.
This is a good book and I liked it but I think I would have liked it better if I would have re-read the first two books in the series. They need to be read together so your not confused.
So I gave her another chance, not any better, but the sex is obviously the most important aspect of these books, not the characters, or maybe just the BDSM is the storyline not the couples.
This is the story of Duff and Layla. This was my favorite book in the Dangerous Romance series due mainly to the fact the main characters did not know each other. This aspect allowed them to build a relationship and develop trust in each other, unlike the other couples holding on to age-old images and conceptions from ten years or more ago.
The character development in this story was great. I had an image of Duff before I really started this book. I believed he was a loving, huge, teddy bear of a man. I proved to be right. However, I did not like how the author was trying to depict him as a playboy and man-whore at the club. He did not seem like that from the introduction I got of him. I imagined him to be laid back and predatory. The women would have a desire to approach him. Other than a few inconsistencies, the author make the characters lovable and believable. Duff was charismatic, attentive, funny, naturally sensual, truthful, and a giving partner. He knows how to take control and lead a conversation. He takes command without being pushy. I sensed all these throughout the book. Sometimes he talked too much during play to the point it became distracting, but I can forgive that since I liked Duff as a character. Layla was also a good character. I loved how the author made her level-headed. She was able to do a self-examination of herself and see her flaws. And she actually had a reason (not an excuse) for her thoughts and actions. Duff and Layla were sensible people.
The chemistry was also great between them. I liked them together. There were conscious people. There was on another level of thinking than the other couples we read about in the series. They knew their flaws and they were working through them. At times I wished their romance moved a lot slower and that there was more development to some aspects of their connection. There was an early "need" for each other. I wish there was more of a battle in the sexual pursuit and more use of innuendoes. There could have been a battle of wits to decide who was the greater dominant. The author could have written about the characters staying strong on the outside as a pretense, but, in reality, they were losing control of themselves in their minds. That concept alone could have moved the story farther along.
The story direction was a little shaky at times. I wished the story would have started at the point of when Duff first spotted Layla in book 2, not 2 months later. The reader did not how Duff had established himself in the club. The reader could have gotten a better interaction between them and better sexual banter and battle for dominance in the beginning. The reader basically came in the middle of the plot with her cursing him out and telling him to leave her alone. That was confusing. Also, I did not believe the characters were falling in love with each other after 8-9 days. I did not read that much into their romance that would have warranted that.
After a while, the author was drawing out the story to where the storyline and the characters wee no longer authentic. The characters started to not make sense anymore. The two characters that were sensible and level-headed started to doubt themselves and make rookie mistakes. Duff, a confident man who knew what he wanted, started to think that he did not deserve Layla or their relationship. He thought he was a bad seed and could not give a woman what she needed. Layla even started to have doubts about her relationship with Duff. She started to doubt about giving herself over to him after basically being inseparable for a month. She was even contemplating on her choice in playing with him when they seemed so compatible. The ones that seemed most responsible were the most irresponsible. Having a baby after knowing each other a little over 2 months??!!! She even thought about leaving Duff without an explanation when she found out she was pregnant. She knew he was an honorable man and would not leave her like that and she knew he would fight for his child. She stated that she loved him, but she was pushing away a great man and showed she had no confidence in him or his integrity to discuss anything with him. Layla, being a person that was able to see her life for what it was, began to play the blame game for her problems. He blaming her father for the decisions that she make this late in the book seemed ridiculous. She was a grown woman that had not been under her father's roof for years.
As the story was drawn out, it got repetitive to the point it became predictable. The sex scenes were not even that exciting anymore. It made me want to skip over it. The epilogue was also too long for me to care about what was going on. This book could have been the saving grace of this series. It had elements that were not evident in the previous books, but as the story went along it started to sound and feel like it was going into the direction of the others and it lulled me to sleep.
DANGEROUSLY BAD : DANGEROUS ROMANCE # 3 EDEN BRADLEY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
WOW... i'm not entirely sure where to start with this review... what I will suggest is that you have a brand-new battery supply ready and at hand... because this is definitely one hell of a one handed read!!! This is Duff and Layla's story... Without giving away any spoilers... I will recommend this book as a five star rating not to be missed!!!... i'm also including a health warning for the pure hotness of the Dominant... who can dissolve panties... just by the sound of his voice!!! Everything about this book was absolutely spot-on from the flow to the direction and continuing through to the amazing characters!!! With the perfect amount of everything included... the journey that these two make during this story... is one hell of a magnificent ride of emotions right from the beginning to the very end!!! I couldn't put this book down once I started... and I was up until 5 AM reading because I needed to know... 'what happened next'. Another magnificent work of magic by the wonderful Ms Bradley... and i truly cannot wait to see what she has planned next... but whatever it is... i can guarantee... it will be 100% mind blowing!!!
I'm new to this series and I'm not sure if maybe I missed something in the earlier books, as Layla and Duff seemed to start off rather familiar with each other. I appreciated that the conflict was less external with meddling, over-the-top villains and more about Duff and Layla dealing with their insecurities.
However, there's sooooo much telling as opposed to showing. Many details were just dumped onto the page via long, exasperating pieces of dialogue, which significantly dragged down the pace of the romance.
