As this is a multi-volume series my opinion is also influenced by the previous volumes... And there may be references to the plot of those volumes... SO READ WITH CARE!

Teru is finishing up high school alone. Her beloved big brother has died, her only solace are the messages she exchanges with DAISY, who communicates with her through the cell phone her brother left her. At school, the new janitor seems to be around when Teru needs help, they have a conflict filled relationship totally at odds with what she has with DAISY...

This is totally a volume where we get lots of answers. Akira is a mystery that has been at the center of Dengeki Daisy and now Teru, Kurosaki and their friends learn why Teru's brother and Kurosaki's father were both willing to help their friend the professor and lose their lives! It's pretty crazy stuff but totally in like with the story we've been reading the entire time! WOW! It was quite satisfying.

The relationship between Teru and DAISY has always been what this series is about and it is oh so sweet in this volume! We get some relationship struggles as both want different things about Akira... but ultimately they love each other and are willing to keep trying. I love how this rang so true to how we want to be in our own lives and the struggles that plague our relationships too.

The tension was quite high! You know the powers at work are secret and shadowy so they won't give up so easily just because their crew knows what is going on. And BAM! That happens and you weren't expecting that! It was such a powerful way to end the volume...

The art in this series is so perfect. There is this wonderful balance between the humor frames and the drama frames. The romance comes through in the art as well with a dreamy feel. Really you don't expect all those different sorts of feels to come through so complexly and united!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authenticity
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tension
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plot
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Art

BOTTOM LINE: We are so, so close to the end...

I am indescribably happy right now.

My year has been made! My fangirl ship has sailed! Nothing can bring me down!

Except the wait for the next volume, perhaps... T.T

Waiting 14 volumes for this moment was totally worth it!

What kind of ending was that? Their moment at the Ferris wheel and the this and that, I don't know what to say because freaking spoilers. And that ending, I was thinking oh no you did not just...Ugh!

Right, um, this was a really good volume, sad and cute. Last one I gave it a 4. But this? I had butterflies and feels and gave it a full 5 stars.

Moments with those two, just...sigh.

And then it happened which made reminded me of Kimi ni Todoke.

The expressions and setting was perfect. I went a little fangirl mode while reading that.

Oh right and the plot moved forward, and stuff was discovered, happened, etc. Very good volume. Kudos to the author and thank you for making this awesome series...so far.

I get it that we are approaching the end so everything is high stakes and important but I miss the lightheartedness of earlier volumes. Also, for some reason, I am feeling detached from Teru and Tasuku's relationship. The spark is missing. I guess now that it's more obvious where the story is going, there isn't that much intrigue to see how the story will unfold. Maybe things have gotten repetitive..? Hmmm...

Dengeki Daisy 14 is an important volume in the series: both the secret of Akira and the confirmation of Kurosaki's relationship with Teru are the focal point. All the loose ends of the story, from Teru's brother's involvement to reason why Kurosaki's father was murdered, are now coming together and they all lead to Akira.

Story: Teru's brother's disc is watched by the group: we finally know everything from Kurosaki's father and Professor Midorikawa's jobs as well as why Teru's brother was involved. But it's a bitter pill for Teru to swallow considering the group will be asked to save Akira. Meanwhile, Kurosaki plans a big day for Teru's birthday, deciding it is time to confess his feelings.

The Teru x Kurosaki scenes were great and much needed after so much of the mystery story over the last couple of volumes. The humor is back as well, with missed, "Go bald, Kurosaki!" keeping the mood light. Most of the first half of the volume is the story of Akira, with Antler reappearing to harass Teru. But Teru remains strong - one of the best things about the entire series is her strength of character.

There is a cute blurb at the back where the author states: The story of Dengeki Daisy is coming to its climax. "Bleached Hair" has now kissed "tiny boobs". That pretty much sums up this great volume for me. There were some beautiful romantic moments between the two!

Finally we are getting somewhere. We didn’t need so many fillers to finally have the climax begin to approach. Ughh. Anyway secret notes about how Akira is secretly a man-made uhh superhuman with computer brain powers nonsense- the bad ppl want him dead. It’s up to our ragtag heroes to save him, sorta. Teru and Kurosaki kiss on a Ferris wheel and discuss their relationship. Riko points out that she is a minor and that their relationship is complex, mmhmmm.

Anyway as per usual Teru is kidnapped :/ thats how the volume ended.

I did like that they finally got to kiss. It’s still weird that he’s nearly 10 years older than her, but given the state of how they came into the relationship it’s understandable??? Like at least he didn’t groom her? Idk man its hard to put this manga to a certain standard.

One of my favorite manga. I liked the mysterious character of Kurosaki and the sweet, innocent girl Teru. At first, I’ve already realized from the beginning that Kurosaki is Daisy. I just had a hunched that it must be him. I’m excited all throughout the story on how and when will that secret would be revealed. I like the plot and the scenes of Teru and Kurosaki which are really sweet and heartwarming. Also how Kurosaki is containing his feelings for Teru because he thinks he doesn’t deserve her. I almost cry when Teru finds out who Kurosaki was. I was just overwhelmed by the hacker thing. But all in all, I love this manga and have read it 3x already.

This volume was so good! The secret of Akira and M’s testament. The couple sharing their dark emotions and becoming an item. The crazy dangerous twist of an ending - I’ll be picking up the next volume as soon as I can. Wow! 4.5/5

The story has been dragging a bit lately. The same things happening again and again, or so it feels. I'm glad we got some more romance in this volume. It seems the story will appropriately end soon.
