You'll burn baby. You'll burn. For me.
So it's really no secret that I love a good BDSM romance. Know why?
While the dynamic between Declan and Molly is that of a D/s, I'd call this book BDSM lite :). It was a sexy romance, but there wasn't heavy BDSM elements like you'd find in say, Cherise Sinclair or Kallypso Masters. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the hell out of it. Because I have definitely found me a new author to read. This was my first book in the series, and I'll definitely be going back to read the rest of them now. I'm hooked!
Declan is the lead singer of Savage Heart. A few months ago, after an incident in Philadelphia that's shrouded in mystery, caused Declan to throw out his best friend and lead guitarist, Sorren, out of the band. It also resulted with a trip to rehab for himself. But things are not ultimately the way that they seem, and only a handful of people know what really happened.
Molly goes on tour with Savage Heart in order to get to the bottom of what happened the night the band broke up and then write a book that will bring them back from the dead.
She is prepared for a lot; groupies, havoc, dealing with being on a tour bus with a bunch of rock stars. What she is not prepared for is the utter magnetism that is Declan and the effect he has on her. Hiding a troubled childhood and a pain from her past, Molly doesn't remember the last time she reacted this way to a man. But in order to build the career she needs to help support herself and her sister, she knows that she cannot give in no matter how sexy Declan's voice or body might be.
Declan knows what he wants when he sees it, he is a Dom after all, and he can see the sexy submissive beneath the bluster. He makes no qualms in making it clear to Molly what will happen, no matter how much she may fight it.
You don't get to have me, Declan Donovan. That's not what's going to happen. What's going to happen is that I'm going to get to the bottom of what happened between you and Soren Andersson in Philadelphia, and you're going to respect me. And then I'm going to write the best goddamn book you've ever read. And at the end of it-"

Now who can deny THAT for too long? Certainly not Molly. Even though an even from her past makes her unsure as to where all this will go, and she's terrified of having her heart broken, she can't stay away from Declan.
The chemistry between the two of them is combustible. But both of them are scared of getting their feelings involved, although for different reasons of their own
Both Declan and Molly hide a troubling and dark pasts. While Molly's story is revealed in bits and pieces, Declan's continues to be shrouded in mystery.
Can Molly get to the heart of the man, without getting her own broken in the process?
I really enjoyed this book. Though there were moments where I wanted to smack Molly, given her history I can understand some of the thoughts and decisions she made. I did feel the ending was a tad bit rushed, especially since there was a lot of buildup toward the big revelation of what truly happened between Soren and Declan. But it looks like we will get a continuation on their story in Soren's book.
If you like steamy BDSM-y romances with a hot tatted up, rock star Dom, definitely give this one a try.
I am thrilled to hear that Soren's story is next. He's mysterious, he's BLONDE, and his name is SOREN. I'm still on a Mistress hangover, so this is definitely music to my ears :)

Definitely my favorite in this series and it's all because of Declan Donovan. I love a book that has a character you fall so madly for it literally changes the whole book for you. I truly adored Molly and didn't find her whiny, or bitchy or anything that would irritate me. She's trying to get to the bottom of a story regarding Declan and Soren, the lead singer and lead guitarist for Savage Heart. She's ther to write a tell all book and they know it. Declan wants to play quid pro quo with her and a few other games and Molly's whole character just blossoms. I just found her so delightful.
Declan was just so ... commanding and in a way that was just sinful yet intriguing. He's the ultimate alpha with some bad baggage on him and he's just the all around good guy hero that you can't help but love. And that was the whole point... getting to the bottom of what happened between Declan and Soren and Declan's so much like Captain America that you can't help but fall in love more with the rockstar hero.
Declan was just so ... commanding and in a way that was just sinful yet intriguing. He's the ultimate alpha with some bad baggage on him and he's just the all around good guy hero that you can't help but love. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, Chloe Cox does it again! The electric sparks that fly between Declan and Molly about melted my iPad! This book is Hot, Hot, Hot! This book will give you hit flashes! When Declan told Molly to RUN, I about shallower my tongue! Must read, you will not be disappointed!

So when you have a friend that sends you a text and is so excited about a book and she decides to share it, what do you do? WELL I DROPPED EVERYTHING ELSE I PLANNED TO READ AND READ THIS BOOK!!
I think my friend was in my mind, because this was the perfect book for me to read, just what I was looking for, her excitement is now my excitement!!!!
Declan is exactly the type of character I love, I love Alpha males and then to top it off he is a Dom and then again to top that he is a hot and sexy as hell ROCK STAR, everything I could ask for in a Book Boyfriend.
Molly oh Miss Molly, she is the type of herione in a book that I enjoy she is a strong women with sadness inside, but has a great badass attitude, she is a natural submissive which Declan is drawn too immediately. Molly just needs to learn that her want and needs are ok and can be accepted.
The intensity of the love you could feel growing, the passion, it gets you from the very beginning and does not let up.
Now with that said, the story itself flowed beautifully, and was written well too. Character development is so important to me, because I need to connect with the main characters as well as the supporting ones too, I can't wait for the next book, I just can't wait.
NOW MY EXCITEMENT IS YOUR EXCITEMENT!!!! GO GET THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

I was possessed from the beginning. This book is absolutely captivating. Declan's intensity is beyond words.
A past of broken dreams and shattering events these two are meant to make each other whole again. Hired to write a book on the rise and fall of Savage Heart.A behind scenes look into the life of Declan Donovan Molly Ward gets way more than she bargained for. It only takes one touch, one look, and the way he says her name. Feeling unworthy of the passion that is Declan she attempts to keep him at a distance.
Declan is haunted by a past of failing those that he loves. Feels like he can never have or deserve the love of someone as good as Molly. They come to agreement "no strings attached" because they have a unexplainable connection that can not be over looked. They have to learn to love hems elves and let go of the past to move towards a happy ending.
Declan's intensity in this book is just unexplainable I felt possessed by everything he said. They way he spoke to her and the way he possessed her was earth shattering. Absolutely loved there banter and the way Molly encouraged and secured her "punishments" can not wait for more of them and to read the rest of the Club Volare books.

Hmmmm...so I've been in a rock star mood lately and this one really gave it to me good.
This is a great little story about a sweet heroine meeting up with a truly ALPHA hero. His character is classic Alpha. From the hot sex, the MINE MINE MINE mentality and the major possessiveness, this hero has all the symptoms. This book was super hot and steamy with the sex and had a great little story going.
It appears that this is #6 of a series, but I saw it as more of a spin off from Ms Cox's previous series. Alot of those characters come into play. I haven't read the stories previously, but I didn't feel I was missing too much. I even tried to go back and look at the previous ones, but the hero's didn't come across as too Alpha (at least from the reviews) and that is a make/break for me. This one seems more about the rock group than the dom's/owners of the clubs.
So, I would totally recommend this book. I absolutely can not wait till the next one.
If you love a great story with a possessive Alpha, Rock Stars, funny side characters and a great heroine, you'll enjoy this little diddy right here.

I have read all of Chloe Cox's book including all of the Club Volare books and out of all of the books from this series this has to be the best of the best!
This book is about rock star Declan Donovan who is a regular at the Club Volare circut and of course what else... a Dom. While facing some personal issues with a close member of his band and an old girlfriend Declan makes a deal to do a book about his band on tour. Of course the writer of this book is our heroine Molly Ward an up and coming writer who has had to deal with struggles in her own personal life both financial and emotionally.
Of course this wouldn't be a Chloe Cox book without the "contract rules" (and if you follow Chole's books then you immediately what I mean). While on tour Declan and Molly begin a intense relationship that at first revolves around just sex but suddenly becomes more romantic. Declan who is this big rock star just stole my heart with the way he comes off. He has the dom way about him but his heart is sooooo big. You just cannot help but fall in love with him. Molly realizes how good this man can be and herself becomes afraid of what could be between them.
There are secondary characters in this book that also stand out. Adra and Ford from the previous Club Volare books who I cannot wait for these two to get their own book. They need it, and from the band Savage Heart there is Brian, Gage, Erik and of course Declan's best friend/brother Soren who is the band member that Declan has a falling out with.
One of my favorite things in this book is when Declan keeps saying that "he cannot f...ing live without Molly when he realizes how much he loves her and needs her. He's got my vote... for not only being a hot hunky rock star but a deep feeling/romantic man.
This is a great book and if you have read previous books from the series you must read this one. You will absolutely love it.

I really enjoyed this book a lot more then i thought i would. The story develops so well and i love that the relationship starts of so innocent with Molly writing a story about Declan life then it developing into Declan showing her what a real Dom could be like.

This book came highly recommended to me by a close friend who knows I love romance/erotica, hot guys, BDSM and rockstars. Savage Rhythm did not disappoint! I loved it! Declan Donovan is HOT without a doubt. And he's a DOM. And he's a rockstar! Molly is a sub, only she doesn't know it at first. Or she knows it but doesn't recognize it as a characteristic of herself. Quickly she learns just how much she craves the submission and how much she wants Declan's dominating self. The story is a good one. It's got some twists and turns and keeps you thinking, as you try to piece together what it is that's causing Declan to believe he can't offer more than just sexual domination. It's a hot love story between two beautiful and strong individuals, both of whom must confront issues from their past. This story gripped me from the beginning and I could not put it down. I fell in love with Declan, I loved how strong his feelings were for Molly and how much he truly cared. I loved Molly's feisty personality and her overwhelming need to protect her sister from the evils that brought her down. The only weakness I found, and it really is not much of one, is I felt that the ending of the book was a bit rushed. I felt like I wanted to spend a little more time with these characters once they straightened out all their problems, yet the story came to an end. Regardless of that, however, I do recommend this book and strongly suggest you get to know the hot rockstar that is Declan Donovan.

So I did the Happy Dance after reading this book. Found it via the Sunday Wildfire newsletter showcasing books and picked it up at Amazon.
I was looking for something sexy, with a hot alpha male and a woman who was a match for him and I found that with this story. Loved the description early on of Declan as a hot rock god Dom. What girl can't relate to that fantasy?
This was my first from the author, but I thoroughly enjoyed Declan so plan on hitting her backlist now. And in reading the end author's note, I see that Soren will have a story, too, which pleases me to no end. Not gonna lie, that seen between him and Molly had me squirming in my seat. Can't wait to see him find his own match.
There is a strong Dominance/submission theme in this story, very tastefully done. No sharing, no cheating. They have an instant attraction and I love how their story develops.
Only thing that bugged me was the lack of different details about Bethany and Soren. As the story developed, I felt like I was reading over and over how tortured Declan was over some decisions he made, but it didn't feel like the information about that situation was slowly handed out, but rather the same tidbit gnashed on over and over.
By the end, I was like, tell me already!!!! And then it was kinda anticlimactic. But that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and will read more from the author.

I really loved the story between Declan and Molly. I loved how they fought their love for each other because of things that happened in their past. I was happy that being with each other they started to heal. It was super hot that they couldn't keep their hands off each other and all Declan had to do was talk (Command) and he could control her and his fans talk about the power of the voice. I loved that Molly became Declan's muse and helped him to write again. Even though he was a Dom he showed her how much he needed her and how he would be there for her no matter what. Declan took on the weight of everyone around him. That was a lot to carry around. He deserved some happiness in his life and Molly was his happiness. He was willing to give her up so that no harm would come to her. Awesome read I wasn't ready for it to end.

Really really enjoyed this one. I'm a sucker for the rock star story line. And Chloe Cox did a great job of putting together the rockstar and Dom in a believable, and seriously yummy way. I hadn't given this series a chance, but after this one, I had to read them all. While all of them are good - I think this is probably mg favorite.

I could not put this book down. Molly an Declan's story had so many twists and turns I wanted to know what happens next. And sex well.. wow. I liked too how the book Chloe brings in previous characters into her books so you can see what they are up to. Can't wait for Soren's book.

Chloe books be so intense that I have to stay away for awhile. Only to come back to one that was so amazing, therefore makes me hate myself for staying away. I enjoyed this book was the characters. I'm sure many people would think this was a really good book, it's just not my cup of tea. I don't like BDSM books and lately, I don't really enjoy erotica either. I think I'm just sick of sex scene after sex scene because there really isn't any new way to describe things.
So if BDSM and erotica is your jam, try this book, you will probably like it.

Declan Donovan is the lead singer of Savage Heart and by public knowledge he has been on a downward spiral with drugs and alcohol. He’s also kicked out his bandmate and longtime friend, Soren, from the band after an unknown incident six months ago. Now to repair his image, the public relations person from Volare L.A. is having an autobiography done on the group but primarily Declan. As an individual, he’s a sexual dominate and has been for many years but he hasn’t had any submissives in a quite a while; he has even been celibate for the past six months. Declan also has a broken side to him. There are things from his past that he chooses to bury or just lie about to prevent further damage to himself or others.
Molly Ward was forced to grow up quickly at a young age after her mom died and her dad discarded her. She cared for her sister until the father came and took her away too. As a teen she learned that her sexual desires leaned towards being submissive. After explaining these cravings to her boyfriend, he too left her then pregnant and alone. He took the extra step and began to be both physically and emotionally abusive. She has finally been given a shot to get out of the trailer park and get her writing career started. She will travel with Savage Heart on their short tour while collecting research and writing their autobiography. Will she get to the bottom of what happened six months ago to cause such discord in the band?
This is a continuation of the Volare series but you don’t have to read all of the others to fully enjoy this book. Chloe Cox has the amazing ability to write in a conversational style that is familiar and easy going. There is quite a bit of cussing in the story so if that bothers you I wouldn’t recommend it, for me it added to the pragmatism of the book.
The two characters have immediate and fierce chemistry. From the outset, the tension between the two is palpable. She has a fiery, blunt personality and isn’t afraid to tell him what’s what even with his celebrity status. He appreciates that someone will be honest with him as well as acknowledges her submissive tendencies even when she won’t. Initially they enter into a vague contract to imply they will have sex and later without signing any kind of updated contract they actually begin to have sex. Go figure. The sex itself could be characterized as blisteringly explicit without being overly graphic. He has a penchant for rough dominance and a side of bondage but likes to cuddle when it’s all said and done. Who doesn’t want a man like that?
Both characters are broken and thus have flaws, this story is really a culmination of their journey to make peace with the past, move forward to a happier future, and forgive themselves for the things they could never change.

Eeek. I loved this book and was lucky enough to receive a ARC in exchange for my honest review. I am always waiting for the next Club Volare book to come out but every one I read becomes my new favorite. Declan and Molly, it's been awhile since I've felt to vested in two people getting their HEA. Molly has had a rough life and has been hired to write a book about the infamous rock star, Declan Donovan. Molly really needs this to be her big break and success so she can take care of her little sister in a way no one had done for her. As she spends time with the band and gets to know Declan the spark between the two is undeniable. Declan has his own story, also not having a great childhood his past haunts him and he's chosen to "not do relationships". The chemistry between these two is great with lots of steamy scenes. Molly struggles with writing the biography, getting the information she needs and balancing the feelings she has. Very light BDSM elements and a love story that I really wanted to work out. Soren I didn't get a really good feel for, I wanted to understand that dynamic a little more but it didn't hurt the book for me at all. I did however for some crazy reason want to know more about Brian, maybe we'll get to hear more about him soon. I do love a good rock star story.

I absolutely loved Chloe Cox’s new book “Savage Rhythm (Club Volare).” I have read all of Chloe’s books and they just keep getting better and better! Declan and Molly's story was so real. It gave us a look into the lives of famous rock stars and how their lives are not always picture perfect. You will love Molly Ward. She is the poor girl from the other side of the tracks, who was running from a bad relationship which left her with little to no self-esteem. She applies and gets the job to ghost write a book about Declan “Freaking” Donovan, the lead singer of the famous rock group “Savage Heart.” The first time they meet Declan comes to Molly’s rescue when she is being harassed by a group of drunk college-aged frat boys. Declan steps in and rescues Molly from these douchebags, and their story begins. The book is full of twists and turns. Their relationship starts out as a “Dom and Sub” pairing, but under that Dom exterior beats a heart of a very tender, loving, caring, emotional man. Needless to say this book is “Smoking” Hot!!! Everyone needs to find a Declan “Freaking” Donovan in their lifetime! I love the way Chloe brings back characters from her previous books – characters you grew to love in previous books that you really did not want to say good-bye to!! I highly suggest you pick up a copy of this fantastic book – you will not be sorry you did!!!! I cannot wait for Chloe’s next two books about Soren and Harlow – I know the books will be two more amazing stories about the sexy men of the rock group “Savage Heart!”

3.5 stars! I felt like this book couldn't decide what it was trying to be - super steamy or a really sweet low-key romance. Normally I am a fan when these are mixed, but this one felt really divided, there weren't any scenes that combined both so it felt a little disjointed for me, and the HEA wasn't as satisfying. Another small issue I had was that Declan was mentioned by his full name way too many times, it started to annoy me. The secrets in this one were dragged right up until the end too, so things kind of summed up quickly, though since this is part of a series that I just jumped into, I imagine it will be dealt with more in a later book or something. To me, it felt like there wasn't enough interaction with secondary characters either. I think the biggest reason I like books with bands is because there are 3-6 other guys automatically included in the equation, even if its just to flirt or watch them do stupid stuff like talk and share oreos. I missed that in this one. Shallow of me, yes, but I'm willing to admit it.
On the plus side this book had some killer lines, hot and cute ones, a tough mc who learned to let her guard down (love that!), and a super lovely example of a bad boy rocker with a hidden heart of gold (who also knows how to talk dirty, yum!).
I really really liked the small bit with meeting Harlow, so I will be back to read another in this series for sure!

So let me say Holy Hotness Batman!!! Savage Rhythm seriously ROCKED.MY.WORLD!!!! The story of Molly and Declan, two amazing people who were so beautifully broken, was amazing. The book was everything I could have ever asked for, BDSM, Rockstar, HEA, and characters with a story that just draws you in.
Declan, good Lord, Declan! Let's just say, he's the epitome of Alpha male, a rockstar who's also a Dom, what more could a girl ask for? He has a haunted past, and let me tell you, I LOVE a troubled past in a Book Boyfriend. Maybe it's because I want to fix everything, but I.LOVE.IT! His past is what makes him not want to get involved with anyone. A way of protecting himself and everyone involved....
Enter Molly Ward, a writer who is supposed to be writing a book about Declan's band, Savage Heart. She's a natural sub, and Declan is immediately attracted to her. He breaks all his own rules for this beautiful girl who loves to wear cutoffs and will grill anyone she can about the issues his band has been having lately. What she doesn't expect to find is a man who can make her feel all the things she never thought she could.
Declan and Molly's story is HOT! Flat out....HOT HOT HOT Sex! There's a whole group of characters that make you want to know more. I honestly didn't want to see their story end. Rosarita, a friend of mine recommended this book for me and its a great thing I trust her because I just dropped other book and start this one and hooked!!!
The story captured me from the first page. There's always an element if mystery about both characters to why they're the way they are.. I like Molly. She's strong in her own way and her weakness understandable given what she went through in the past.
Reading page after page, I e minute I was swooning over Declan, fanning my self at their hot moments and feel so intense half way into the book not knowing what to expect, it's GREAT!! It's everything you expect and hope or in a book.
Hot alpha (check), not annoying heroine (check), great friendship (check), not over the top drama ( check), hot moments ( check! And underlined!)... Hmm
All the background story are pretty much answered by the end if the book and I love it. Few books had a background story that left unanswered just simply there to make it look good. Although there's few things I wish was told .. I'm happy Enough with what was told.
It's a 4.5 stars for me. I wish the ending was more and had an epilogue about how the book was written and where is everyone at just for closure. Other than that... It's a book that gives you great pleasure reading it. (Pun intended)

So when you have a friend that sends you a text and is so excited about a book and she decides to share it, what do you do? WELL I DROPPED EVERYTHING ELSE I PLANNED TO READ AND READ THIS BOOK!!
I think my friend was in my mind, because this was the perfect book for me to read, just what I was looking for, her excitement is now my excitement!!!!
Declan is exactly the type of character I love, I love Alpha males and then to top it off he is a Dom and then again to top that he is a hot and sexy as hell ROCK STAR, everything I could ask for in a Book Boyfriend.
Molly oh Miss Molly, she is the type of herione in a book that I enjoy she is a strong women with sadness inside, but has a great badass attitude, she is a natural submissive which Declan is drawn too immediately. Molly just needs to learn that her want and needs are ok and can be accepted.
The intensity of the love you could feel growing, the passion, it gets you from the very beginning and does not let up.
Now with that said, the story itself flowed beautifully, and was written well too. Character development is so important to me, because I need to connect with the main characters as well as the supporting ones too, I can’t wait for the next book, I just can’t wait.
