The author, Dr. Biswas received M.Sc. degree in Geology from Dhaka University securing 1st position (1969) and PhD degree from Voronez State University researching on rare earth metals found in Bangladesh. Dr. Biswas wrote this when he was the chief scientist of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission.
