Showing crafters how to create abundant space for photographs in a compact-size album, this guide uses space-saving techniques, including hidden hinges, pockets, pull-outs, and tags, to create small gifts that function not only as scrapbooks, but also as home décor pieces that can be put on display. Through step-by-step instructions and diagrams, the book teaches the hidden hinge system, which enhances keepsake albums by making them more interactive and professional and which allows crafters to leave standard ring bindings behind. Perfect for wedding gifts, baby showers, birthdays, and many other occasions, these mini scrapbook designs accommodate dozens of photos and various textures and will keep viewers wanting more with every turn of the page. Preserving memories has never been more fun.
I don't really understand the point; these seem to require a lot of work for just a little bulky thing with a few photos.
For fellow Australians who happen to read this review -- because the book is American, the measurements are in inches throughout (e.g. "1/8 inch"), and it seems that all of my rulers are in centimetres and millimetres, so take a look at your rulers before getting the book! It also refers to "chipboard" a lot, which apparently means thick cardboard/paperboard, not particleboard.
