It's a shame these books are self-published as the author's ideas and world-building have a great deal of merit. Yet the numerous typographical, usage, and grammar errors are so rife as take the reader out of the story. I counted 152 punctuation errors alone (Simpson would do well to re-read the grammar rule regarding the use of commas during direct address). The heroine's personal behavior was also highly inconsistent and I had so little respect for her as a mother that it was difficult to cheer for her success.

Simpson also commits (again, just as in her first book) the violation of romance writing rule #1, namely that the heroine should never be raped (and the reader has to watch her daughter orally raped as well). The relative ease with which both women "recover" from their ordeal is so disrespectful to survivors that it's probably only due to this series' low profile that she isn't getting hate mail about it. I would strongly recommend that future books follow the rules.

All the above points considered, Simpson demonstrated better characterization with the male characters in this book (her female characters are much less fleshed out). I'm going to force myself to read the third book and pray I don't have to sit through someone else being raped and tortured before calling an end to the experiment. Fingers crossed.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
Rook is the head of security for the Myths & Legends Resort. Angela is a homicide detective that has investigated many cases that seem to have a connection to the resort. There is an obvious attraction between the two but due to Angelas job she tries her best to overlook it. This book has demons, vampires, shape shifters, oracles & other interesting species of the supernatural variety. From the very first chapter I was drawn in & made of fan of the Myths & Legends series as well as this authors! There wasn't a dull or boring moment in any of the book! Which is why it received 5 stars from me. If you haven't read this book pick it up! If you've read it recommend it to your friends & families. This is a must read!! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!

The enjoyment and magic continues!

Book 2 of the Myths and Legends series is the story of Rook, Time Demon, Blood-bound Guardian of the King and Queen of Dragons, and Security chief for the Myths and Legends Casino Resort on the MS Gulf Coast. For six years, he has been the liaison for the supernatural season of the resort and the local police, namely Detective Angela Ruby. The sizzle between them causes no amount of trouble. It has finally reached a turning point that will change both their lives as well as loved ones on each side. Travali, the evil, demented vampire from book one is still on the loose; there is more betrayal, danger, loss, heartbreak, passion, enlightenment, joy and love to come. Rook and Angela get their HEA with much struggle and there is a teaser for the next book about Solomon, the night shifter sorcerer. I thoroughly enjoyed both books and will be starting book three right away. I recommend reading these in order even though each is a stand alone, they are linked in the overall world building.

I read the first book of this series. I absolutely loved it. I have had the second book for awhile now and have finally got around to reading. 4 time altering stars for this book.

Ms. Simpson can build a solid plot which builds up slowly in a world full of detail and intricate plots and in depth characters.

Rook is Head of Security at Myths and Legends and is also Dragon and Serafina's guardian sworn to protect them. He has found his Anai in Detective Angela Ruby which slightly complicates. Angela is not affected by Rook's powers and see and helps him but can't really comprehend what is going on. Angela is a conduit that helps enhance Rook's time abilities making him/them a threat to the Elders who control the River of Time.

Through the murders and in the end Angela's daughter Rachel being in trouble they become closer. There is always the happy end that we expect although the series is not fast paced it is still a fantastic series to read.

After reading the first book in this series, Releasing the Dragon, I immediately bought the second and third book. The second story, Destine for Time, did not disappoint! After meeting Devin Delaney, Rook, in the first book I was very interested in reading his story. After meeting police detective, Angela Ruby, six years ago Rook has not been able to get her out of his head and after the bombing and murder attempts at the Myths and Legends Casino resort, it looks like Angela may be in his life permanently. I would highly recommend this series to PNR and shifter fans.

I enjoyed this book. It is a great addition to the series. I liked that Stacie explained more of the history of some of the characters and their abilities. I also liked this book because unlike some books in a series, Stacie has included the two main characters from the first book. I like knowing what is happening in the lives of past characters. I am excited about the next book. Awesome imagination Stacie.

The second book in the series was just as good as the first one. Rook is hot as hell and the passion between him and Angela is so hot. I loved this book from beginning to end. Im happy to see that Traveli finally got whats coming to him and that Rook and Angela finally get together. Rook's ringtones are hillarious. I cant wait to read the next book with Solomon in it. Diffinitly a good series to read and an awesome book to have.

Ms. Simpson has become a new favorite author of mine. In this second of three, she continues the wonderful characters, plot twists and fantastic worlds begun in her first book, Releasing the Dragon. The sex, of course, is hot and frequent but her books revolve more around the theme of universal love and the finding of one's soul mate. I was not disappointed and can't wait for the release of the next book, Tempting Magic.

Great story. I really love the fantasy world Ms. Simpson created in this series. Rook is an amazing character, battling between his duty to the dragon king and his urge to protect his mate. Working so hard to win his mate over. What happened to Angela was devastating. The perpetrator got what was coming to him. The daughter Rachel was just plain annoying. I wish she can be written out of the story.... Enjoyed this book immensely. As good as book 1. Thank you!

This is a very good story. It kept me on thedge of my seat, with heart stopping action and heart throbbing sex. This series has it all. It was hard to put down. The way Ms. Simpson weaves magic with modern life is amazing. This series can be stand alone but should really be read as a series, as the characters are intertwined. Myths and is someplace I would like to see in real life. She made it come to life in every scene. I highly recommend these books and can't wait to read the next one.

Silver Eyes

I enjoyed the story very much. Has lot's of emotion, sorrow, desire, and regret.

It kept me interested but my suggestion to the author is don't become redundant. You can put nips and pieces from the last book into the second and even the third but if drags out then what have you accomplished? Background history is fine but only give enough to have the reader say ah yes that's right.

Anyways good story.

WOW!!!!! Another must read. I enjoyed reading the second book in the Myths and Legends Series as much as the first one. Once again I was drawn in immediately and lost many hours of sleep because I did not want to stop reading it! Loved the humor (Rook’s ringtone is awesome), the characters, and the steamy story! Very well executed. Ready for the next book in the series already.

This story was just okay for me. The story just didn't grab me. I read at least 50% before I started jumping chapters. The ending was just okay too. I just don't have enough interest to read next story in the series.

All I can say is, at least, give it a try. It is not bad, just not for me.

Now it's Rook's turn to find love while we delve into the compassion, scheming, and savagery of time demons. as old feuds are settled and war is waged, a whole new inter species ruling body is emerging in the post war terrain.

This one was even better than the first in this series. I really felt that Rook was a very strong hero and he had his work cut out for him with Angela and her daughter.

But he came through and got his one and only. Cannot wait to read Solomon's full story. Kepp it up Stacie, loves the books.

I can't get enough of this series. You get introduced to angela Ruby in the first book & you can already feel the chemistry between her & Rook. In this book you get to see where that spark turns into a roaring inferno (no pun intended ;))
