Η Λήδα Λοΐζου είναι η καλύτερη ηθοποιός της γενιάς της. Μέσα από τους ρόλους που υποδύεται ξορκίζει και τα δικά της φαντάσματα. Στην πρεμιέρα του τελευταίου της έργου, έως και την πέμπτη πράξη, όλα μοιάζουν ιδανικά, ώσπου, στο κρισιμότερο σημείο, συμβαίνει κάτι αναπάντεχο. Η παράσταση καταστρέφεται και η Λήδα καταρρέει επί σκηνής. Τι ισχυρίζεται όμως όταν συνέρχεται; Γιατί κανείς δεν μπορεί να την πιστέψει; Τι έχει δει, μονάχα αυτή, που κανείς από τους θεατές της παράστασης δεν αντιλήφθηκε; Η Λήδα προσπαθεί μάταια να βρει κάποιες απαντήσεις ως τη στιγμή που εισβάλλει στη ζωή της ένας άγνωστος άντρας, ο οποίος τη βγάζει από το αδιέξοδο προτείνοντάς της έναν διαφορετικό δρόμο, που θα τους οδηγήσει σε μια αποκαλυπτική περιπλάνηση. Κάπως έτσι αρχίζει το μεγάλο ταξίδι της Λήδας σε μια σειρά από πρωτόγνωρα φυσικά και ψυχικά τοπία, με οδηγό τις δύο μόνες συμπαντικές έννοιες: τον Έρωτα και το Θάνατο. Είναι η κατάδυση σε έναν παράξενο κόσμο που αρθρώνει τα ανείπωτα, ανασύρει τα θαμμένα, φέρνει στο φως κρυμμένα μυστικά και γεγονότα. Όποιος καταφέρει να επιστρέψει από εκεί ερμηνεύει αλλιώς τη ζωή του.

He studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens and earned postgraduate degrees in Architecture and Cinematography in London.
He has published nine novels, several of which have been translated and published in Europe and the USA.
Alexis Stamatis has also published six books of poetry. His second collection, The Architecture of Interior Spaces, was awarded the Nikiforos Vrettakos Prize in 1994. Τwo collections of his poems have been translated in Great Britain.
In 2004 he participated in the renowned International Writing Program of the University of Iowa courtesy of a Fulbright Artists & Art-Scholars Award. In 2007 Etruscan Press won the U.S. National Endowment for the Arts' first International Literary Award for the translation of the novel American Fugue.
In 2009 Alexis Stamatis was writer in residence in Shanghai, invited by the Shanghai Writers Association. He has represented Greece in numerous international book festivals and seminars.
His writing appears regularly in major Greek newspapers and magazines.
