'AWOL' is the story of a soldier gone missing from his barracks. Why did he leave and will he be found?

This is a fast-paced and entertaining read, going from character to character while the mystery of the soldier's disappearance is unravelled. It becomes a more personal tale when the soldier's motives are revealed. One thing I feel I have to say - the bland cover really does not reflect the content.

I thought this was a cool and unusual read, and it sort of reminded me of a comic book in places though I can't put my finger on exactly what made me think this. It was very action packed and the character descriptions were quite vivid. There were times where the word choice was a bit unclear but this is a minor complaint for such an interesting read.

Overall I'd say this is an entertaining and fast-paced novel which should keep action and military fiction fans happy!
