Sarasa's quest for freedom has ended, but Basara isn't over yet! In this volume of special side stories, Yumi Tamura goes deeper than ever before to explore the characters and world of Basara. Hijiri and Nachi recount childhood memories of ships, sea monsters and mermaids. A band of star-crossed rebels arises in another time--and changes the course of Sarasa's battle. And Asagi finds his new calling...fronting a boy band?
Name (in native language): Birth Date: September 5 Zodiac: Virgo
Tamura is an avid RPG videogamer - Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc. She also loves to read mystery books, and going on the computer to chat with her fans.
The side stories continue. This volume contains the following:
Appendix 3: Nakama, about Hijiri and Nachi's past, and perhaps a glimpse of the future? (Just a little)
Appendix 4: Dakara, a small story about Asagi's past
Appendix 5: Katana, the tale of how the four swords from 100 years ago attempted a rebellion during the Lion King's reign
...And a bonus (super non-canon) story from the author's own doujinshi of the series. The characters of Basara are in the idol business! (It's really cliche, but it's fun.)
It's nice to have some backstory at least. I'm still waiting for more on Sarasa and Shuri though. Saving the best for last? (The end notes tease it, at least.) Maybe we'll get some answers on this bright new future in the next (and final) volume.
>.< One of my favorite volumes, really, by far. The extra stories are so emotional! The White King's story was a bit confusing...and scary to read, and it really did boost the anti-King Ukon morale that everyone had. He was a true beast. You sympathize with the White King while at the same time, you're kind of...confused about how to feel for her. Next story! Ageha...and a woman. Woah. I liked his little back story, it was very cute and very powerful too. Inspiring. I'm not a huge Ageha fangirl, but I appreciate his purity and at the end, the three women he would die for...so beautiful. Next! Hijiri and Nachi. They were so cute as kids, and this was a particular favorite of mine. They show true friendship in this short-story. A must-read. Nexxxxt--Asagi. Asagi will be Asagi, and he is adorable. My favorite character in a short little chapter about his sad childhood. Lastly, a little story that takes place about 100 years before Basara's main one, about the four tragic swords and their four original owners. A bit of a sad ending and the way some characters look EXACTLY like the people in the main story are my only down-sides, but I didn't mind them that much. Good follow-up volume!
Nah inilah jadinya kalau seseorang seperti saya mementingkan cover diatas segalanya.

My Thoughts:
This was a nice collection of Basara side stories.
