Sarasa devises a plan to free the slaves who were taken to Kyoto for the constructing of a golden buddha. Hisha's people, Byakko's people, even Shuri (sold by Asagi) were sent there as slaves. It was a genius plan. The story shared among the citizens and all his followers as a beacon of hope.

They catch sight of each other from a distance. He isn't ready to see her face to face but he still helps her and thinks of her. The two are still madly in love with different agendas.

She also sees Ageha who smiles approvingly at her when she departs from the port. All is forgiven.

Synopsis:

Sarasa and Shuri meet in the battlefield, and are devastated to learn one another's true identities. Sarasa runs away to Kazuno, reunites with her mother, and reaffirms the sanctity of love. But what path will she choose now...?

My Thoughts:

This volume is a bit lighter than the last few have been. I was glad for that because things just can't be dark ALL the time. It was so good to see Sarasa with a smile on her face again. And I was happy that she and Shuri both helped each other when you might think both would be too bitter to do so. I'm also glad that Shuri seems to won someone who had every reason to hate him over to his side and that thanks to Sarasa, he's reunited with Nakijin and Yuna.

I really like Kikune's character. I hope to see her again and hopefully, not as an enemy. I really like Ichimatsu as well, he's funny.

I really enjoyed seeing Sarasa dealing a blow to the royal family. Totally made them lose face. Plus, she freed a lot of slaves. It looks like back in Suo, they're rebuilding the city and it's going well. Senju, though, still is out of it. She should have had her baby by now, but I don't know if she can ever let go of her grudge against Tatara. Sakaki is still around, too. It seems that Sarasa wants him to help with his aqueduct that he had began before. Looks like he's working on it in secret, but at least he's working.

However, one of King Ukon's councilors has sent an assassin after Tatara and Kinari the Spider has warned him about it. Will she survive the attempt?

Nah inilah jadinya kalau seseorang seperti saya mementingkan cover diatas segalanya.
