Remembering April

Rate this book
April Marsh had resigned herself to being off the dating scene forever after her last disastrous relationship. Not particularly picky, she just wanted a nice, normal guy who would treat her decently. Was that too much to ask for?

Rich, somewhat famous and utterly bored with the usual socialites he met at the parties he was forced to attend, Dean Randle found himself wanting more than just a quick tumble with beautiful yet fake women. He wanted to find a normal yet exciting woman who would love him for his personality rather than for his bank account.

Against the advice of his business manager, Dean goes undercover in an effort to find the perfect woman. The change from being the boss to being little more than a copy boy is difficult to adjust to but he is determined to stick to his plan.

When April runs into Dean in the dreaded photocopier room she is instantly attracted to him. If she'd still been dating, he would have been exactly the type of man she'd have fallen for. When she overhears him being shot down after asking one of their colleagues out on a date, she agrees to help him find love.

Dean is embarrassed to be so dismal at dating and is grateful when April and her high strung best friend, Adam offer to assist him. He has a feeling that if anyone can help him find the woman of his dreams, it is this quirky pair.

The instant Adam meets Dean, he knows that April and the new guy are perfect for each other. His best friend deserves better than the dismal run of relationships she'd been through and Adam will do anything he can to make sure April finds happiness.

I love watching romantic comedy movies and decided to try my hand at writing romance books. My books usually have at least a touch of humour to them but can also be a little bit dark at times.

a good solid read 3.75 stars

a delightful tale of a billionaire and his quest to find real love.

Dean, fed up of the blonde plastic bitches who want him for sex and money, sets up an experiment. He goes off in the "real world" with a lowly job, a little unit and cheap and nasty clothes. There he meets April, who is NOT looking for love, but decides she likes Dean, and along with her best friend Adam, set out to help him. Dean and April fall in love, but before anything happens, Dean decides he needs to tell April the truth. And nearly dies. And forgets all about her, Adam and the last 9 months! When jealously rears its ugly head a second time, Dean and April's love is tested beyond anyone's imagination.

I liked Dean, he was young, to be deciding he needed to settled down, but still. April was such a character, and Adam, well, hilarious! I loved their interaction in the beginning, and again, after Dean forgets everything. the build up for Dean and April both times, was so beautifully written!! there is some sex, but its not explicit, and some violence but not enough for me to rate it an 18. lots of witty one liners, and I will be looking out for more by this author!

I loved this book. Rich man Dean wanting a normal relationship, April wanting a normal relationship, a gay man Adam who cries a great deal. Put them all in an office and you have a story. Love, love lost, attempted murder, memory loss, more tears and finally love re-found. A great mixture all round enjoy.

This book is about the love story of April and Dean. The book is OK, but not great. The author tries to combine a love story with a mystery. The mystery to me did not work, and it was obvious who the culprit was. It was an acceptable quick read but no more ...
