This is where I should've stopped reading this book.
I'm clearly a masochist because the writing was even worse than the first one, and yet I kept on reading. Worse still, I'm now weirdly invested and moving on to Kenzo's book.

update: this was originally a 2 star review, but after rereading it and, once again, shamefully enjoying it, I have no choice but to admit defeat and give credit where credit is due.

Hold on to your p&nties cause the Hunter twin Kyson will incinerate them!! Kyson’s ex Lilly is about to wed another. He thought “not on his watch” and decides to attend the nuptials but his plans change when he encounters a petite nuisance named Kalilah. Who is she and where did she come from? Kalilah is in a bit of a rut but after her run in with Kyson she may of been better left where she was...or not. This enemies to lovers is the perfect balance of push and pull. The banter, the laughs, the feistiness and the ruthlessness of this villain is just pure perfection! I could not get enough of Kyson and his little bird! Of course the other Hunter brothers also make an appearance! A must read for action packed, villain romance lovers! Told in dual POV.

Just when you think you love Zuko, in comes Kyson 🥵

I absolutely love how much action T fits into these books!! This series is easily becoming a favourite of mine & im here for it!

This story is definitely unique & it will pull you in from the first chapter alone. There is perfect plot to spicy ratio & the spice. Oh my. Give me a hunter brother 😏

3.5 ⭐️ I had fun reading this and the couple was good too but there were parts where I was thinking “what the hell? was that necessary?” 😭 The story started good and I liked how it was going! I felt really bad for Kalilah and even more so after knowing her story. I was glad Kyson and the others where there for her and I was glad that she started speaking and seeing her family again 🫂 Kyson was a villain and a killer so his actions didn’t surprise me, even tho he was good with Kalilah once he start liking her! Basically the events weren’t rushed as there were many one to two week time jumps. The attraction was there but their first time was just random? She came home from work one day and he went “wanna fuck?” and she said yes so from that point on they start developing more feelings. Right after their first time, the brother scene happened 😭 They didn’t have a 3some but he let her give his brother a handjob while he was fučking her… Listen each to their own but to me personally it wasn’t hot and was awkward to read 😬 But it was only a one time thing as he didn’t want to share her with him (they’ve shared many girls together previously) it didn’t happen again so I guess that’s something! The pregnancy I wasn’t expecting, but it wasn’t bad and the end with the baby was really cute 😆 Kenzo’s is probably the most messed up brother from the 3 of them so I’m looking forward to see how his book will turn out 💕 So far in this series Zuko is my favourite but from all novellas Grayson (from A Villain’s Lies) is my favourite~

I cannot describe to you the disappointment and cringe I felt when reading this book.
First of all I felt like I'm reading a wattpad story that was made by a schoolgirl who doesn't have any experience in writing novels.
It doesn't hold any actual story it's all just
Smut smut smut and not the good kind too.
I'm forever traumatized and disgusted by it so if you still haven't read it.. DON'T
If I could give it -5 stars I would without hesitation, I cannot unread what I just read.
Also I'm giving myself a break to connect with nature and stop reading books for a good amount of time..
Just know we'll meet in the end of time dear T.L.Smith and I'll tell God everything.

I know that I didn't read the books in these series in the correct order but I don't regret it at all! This was what I needed to get over my reading slump!! I absolutely enjoyed reading about Kyson and I can't wait to read about his brothers!

This is book two of “The Hunters” series and can be read as a stand alone BUT I suggest reading book one. This series is so yummy!!



I have never been disappointed by a T. L. Smith book, and this was no different. This hooked me from the first chapter and I devoured this book.




Kyson is sexy as sin! He is a pain in the ass and I wanted to dislike him. He made me fall fucking hard!! I am a lover of the Hunter boys but even more I love a bad ass who has a soft spot for his woman. If you have read my reviews you know this to be true and Kyson is all that and more. Now what I love even much is a spunky don’t take shit kinda woman and Kalilah is that woman! She is hilarious and so fucking strong. So many women would have broke following all the shit she has been through. But she never did. Bad ass woman.

I am picky about my sexy moments in a book. I have read some really great books and had to skip through the sexy time because it isn’t right for me. A lot of time it is over done, cheesy wording or just awkward as fuck. This was so hot! I read every single word in this book. I had to fan myself at one point. Trust and believe this book should catch fire!!




The books is a page turner. It’s sexy, funny, broken, redeeming, loving and perfect!! This is a definite MUST read for 2023!!

The dedication in this book, oh my does it sent the scene or what.

Please note that this is a dark romance so please check the trigger and content warnings before diving into this book.

Kalilah is on the run and is literally on struggle street and has been resorting to sneaking into weddings in order to get a meal. Kyson runs into this head strong woman at his ex’s wedding of all places and the pair take an instant disliking to each other. This is totally an enemies to lovers romance with lots of dark aspects in the story, Kyson is a contract killer and a complete a-hole especially in the beginning towards Kaliah.

I really loved the banter between the characters, Kalilah is feisty AF and Kyson is an unapologetic and slightly psycho alphahole. The book was an enjoyable read although very fast paced, I read the book in less than 24 hours. The only criticism I’d have is that the story could have been longer as some parts felt a little rushed.

This book was so good! I love the way T.L. Smith writes her characters!

This storyline was amazing! Once again pairing the perfect personalities together and experiencing the character growth!

I absolutely can not wait for book three. The Hunter brothers are the trip you don’t know you need until you read these books!

I loved this book! I love the Hunter brothers. It had me hooked from beginning to end. I’m loving this series so much. I really enjoyed Kyson and Kalilah’s characters. The banter was great. The spice was hot. There’s one particular scene I definitely won’t forget 😏 I loved the storyline and everything about this book! I can’t wait for the next one!

Ufff para mí fue un poquitín fuerte, una vez avanzada la lectura impresión superada.
Lo que me gusto fue que los protagonistas Kalilah y Kyzon, les vale la actitud que tienen uno del otro y como dicen en el libro son unos locos.
Y en los últimos capítulos fue memorable, solte una carcajada, no recuerdo haber leído algo así en otro libro... Olvidenlo ¿Cuándo estan borrachas cuenta? Creo que sí, aún así aquí fue otro nivel y el final más risas, quien lo hubiera pensado de Kenzo.

Ufff for me it was a bit strong, once the reading progressed the impression was overcome..
What I liked was that the protagonists Kalilah and Kyzon, are valued by the attitude they have towards each other and as they say in the book, they are crazy.
And in the last chapters it was memorable, I laughed out loud, I don't remember having read something like that in another book... Forget it, does it count when they're drunk? I think so, even so here it was another level and the ending had more laughs, who would have thought it from Kenzo.

I’d consider this book a good starting point for those wanting to try a bit of dark romance. It’s a quick Mafia romance, that’s more likely to make you chuckle and swoon, rather than bringing the edge that has you needing a heart checkup.

Right from the start I was intrigued by both Kalilah and Kyson, they seemed polar opposites yet both had their own secrets and I was eager to know them. And then bam! Something I suspected in Moments of Malevolence was validated. Yes!

Kyson seems so indifferent to just about everything and he’s supposed to be the more ‘sociable’ brother. 😆 Even with his aloof manner at times and the apparent ease with which he conducts his ‘career’, the same as his brothers, I really liked his character. I think I liked him even more than Zuko but I’m wary of Zenko. Snippets of good hearts from all of the Hunter brothers do surface though to be fair.

Kalilah I found so intriguing from the first introduction of her character in the story. Not only was she sassy and ready to fight for herself, she said how she felt and didn’t hold back no matter the circumstances. She had such a spark that it was infectious. I also found her past an interesting touch to the story too.

Don’t be fooled into thinking you won’t be feeling a full range of emotions because you will, from anger to fear to happiness and disappointment too. With lots of drama and action, which to be fair was seamlessly added to the story, this was an exciting and entertaining book and now I need Zenko’s story—Moments of Mayhem!

I am loving these Hunter brothers they are deliciously sinful and the type of villains I fall for! The heroine in this one is one of my favorites she’s feisty sassy and gives as good as she gets she’s the perfect match for Kyson I love their chemistry and the banter between them has me in stitches this book was such a delight to read it’s everything we expect from T.L. Smiths writing I’m loving her dark romance underworld mafia she has created and the characters are some of my favorites! The steam was on fire this couple definitely heat up the pages! Couldn’t get enough of them I devoured their story can’t wait for Kenzo’s book!

This story is intense and an emotional rollercoaster ride for both of our main characters Kalilah & Kyson Hunter! Kyson is all Hunter and he is rough around the edges but Kalilah definitely gives him a run for his money. She is stubborn, fierce, strong, and had no idea meeting Kyson was going to change her world forever.

This is an incredible story and you will fall hard for these two unforgettable characters. Their story is also sexy and full of snark and humor. I thoroughly enjoyed all their back and forth. However, Kyson’s alpha super protectiveness is awe inspiring and quite hot!! He can be a jerk from time to time but it just adds to their overall storyline. Needed for the whole effect. Well…
1. I didn’t expect Lily to want Kyson back? Like girl you made your decision stick with it.
2. I saw the chemistry between Kyson and Kalilah at the wedding and I shipped them immediately, I fear.

And the twin scene? The twins with Kali? I had to clutch my invisible pearls of you know which scene I’m talking about. I loved the growth in the book and I’d reread it over and over again. By the way, I got this book as an ARC so I was dying to talk about it.

I don’t know what it is about the psycho Hunter brothers but I can’t get enough of them! I devoured this book and was sad as soon as I finished it! Already looking forward to the next book in the series! This book is the perfect combination of dark romance and spice!

Kalilah is on the run, when she decides to crash the wrong wedding and bumps into Kyson. Something about her draws him in and he becomes infatuated and protective. When he finds her drunk and heading back to her awful motel he decides to take her home with him. But he gets more than he bargained for because Kalilah is so stubborn and independent that she doesn’t like being taken care of. Oh and Kyson is a hit man.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book! I didn't love book 1, but was intrigued with the brothers, and this book didn't disappoint!

The characters were well fleshed out, and Kalilah’s actions were perfectly in tune with her backstory. The plot pacing was good and the spice was fantastic! Some plot points that were seemingly dropped in book 1 were explored more in this book and are leading into a hopefully epic conclusion with Kenzo’s book next!

Kyson gives me Lucas vibes (from Sinful Hands) end I am HERE for it!

If you like murderous, slightly psycho, alphahole MMCs and a FMC that’s strong despite her past, this is a must read!

Moments of Madness is book #2 in The Hunters Series. You can read this as a standalone. But a lot happened in book 1 that I wouldn’t want to miss. The only thing is this is a dark romance and has a lot of possible triggers. This time it is Kyson and Kalilah’s story.

I loved reading Moments of Madness! Kyson is a contract killer. Kalilah has run away from a bad marriage. She is just trying to survive while hiding. They meet at a wedding for Kyson’s ex. She had snuck into the wedding to eat some of the food that they have.

I loved Kalilah’s feistiness, she’s a scrapper. This story was so good! I finished reading this book in a morning. I loved Kyson’s story. These books just keep getting better!

Moments of Mayhem is next and will be Kyson’s twin Kenzo’s turn for his story. Here’s hoping it won’t be too long of a wait!

Ohh Kyson, another of the Hunter brothers. I wasn’t sure Zuko could be beaten but Kyson is hot, moody, dangerous and a walking red flag. Everything we want in a perfect book boyfriend!

After meeting at Kysons ex girlfriends wedding, Alaska and Kyson had a interesting first meet.

Kyson is dirty, dangerous and has a filthy mouth to match. T L Smith always knows how to get the smut level perfect.

It’s so nice to see not your typical mafia story line! I would 100% recommend this book to anyone that enjoys dark romance.

I loved Kalilah from the beginning when she opened up her smart mouth ! And kyson ! Ahhh If you loved Zuko you gonna Love and adore Kyson. I loved Zukos story but I loved This better maybe because he is more approachable ?? Hehehe yeah if you can call it that 😂I don’t know there is something about him … the author pulls you in again to her story and you don’t want to let go ! You want more and more. Devoured this read! Totally love the Hunter brothers and the women they chose, Kalilah is one fiesty girl for Kyson. Love everything about this story line including how these two met, and how they evolved, the banter back and forth had me laughing out loud in spots. When it got real between them, the pages on my reader were on fire, they definitely have some off the charts chemistry. Little surprise close to the end has them both rethinking alot in their lives. Can't wait for more of these brothers!

I just love T.L. Smith’s absolutely indecent and criminally p3ych0tic villainous heroes and Kyson Hunter matches that to the t. Moments of Madness was just as fun and exciting to read as the first book of the series, Moments of Malevolence. The dynamic between Kyson and Kalilah was expl0sive and smexy as he11. Their bickering was seriously endearing and funny. I can’t have enough of the Hunter brothers though so I hope Kenzo’s book comes out soon.
