In this short story from Times of Trouble, Jon Ryan dreamed of becoming a doctor his entire life. Before he graduates from medical school, the government takes over healthcare, making him wary about the profession he's going to school for, but not enough to quit chasing his dream. He practices medicine as medical plagues and disasters occur, all the while the government says they're on top of things. Eventually, government oppression forces him to make changes to his practice that will affect his life as the End Times approach.

I'm a Christian first and foremost. I live in Fort Worth, TX, but from Arizona and looking to move back to Mesa. I have a BA and Technical Writing Certificate from University of North Texas. I won 3rd in a short story contest for a magazine through my high school Creative Writing class. I've been independently published since 2008.

I'm a fan of a bunch of different genres, which is why a lot of my novels are different genres. From time travel to alternate history to lite sci-fi to Christian end times/political thrillers.

As a reader, I loathe novels with tons of minutiae where the author describes everything down to practically its atomic structure, so I write fast-paced novels and I try not to get bogged down in unimportant details that go on and on and on for page after page.....

Returned to writing after almost 10 years away.

I give this book five stars. I thought this was quite a book"Jon Ryan" is an End Times Saga. And he really shares what life could be before we know it, especially the way our government has been going downhill and now even threatening to make people die who are not in great health, old, has diseases that the government says puts a strain on the income to pay for their medical attention, etc. and then also to not be on Israel's side no more just because the Israelites stood up to their enemies who wanted to get rid of them and gain their land for themselves. I I liked this book very much. It was a hard book to set down and leave it alone once you started reading it. I thought it was a fast moving type of story, and an easy read book that some may be able to finish it in one reading too, perhaps ! It's a short story. I recommend this book for those who find that they like such a book as what zi have already shared here! There is no bad language r swearing or any real gruesome details here. Great Work,Cliff!

Jon Ryan is a closer look at one of the characters from Times of Trouble. It's a good short story, quick read, and relevant to today. If you have read the other books, you might want to read this to get inside the head of one of the characters. If you have not read the other books, you might want to read this to get a taste of how close to the truth the other three books are, and then get the other three books to see what other kinds of things Cliff Ball reveals and how relevant it really is to our government today. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Scary read, as we can see both in USA and Canada, the government having too much to say with regards to our health care. I can see where the storyline could easily play out, and that is what is scary.

Dr's whom are forced to perform abortions, knock off Sr's-especially hit close to home with the debate over assisted suicide in QC. I already have seen a family member left in ER, after being sent by her Dr., until the very last, and all because of her age. Life is not easy, but with HIM, we know we will be with Him for eternity.

A quick read, but a very provocative one.

Cliff Ball has done it again. This time it is a short story based on the new healthcare system recently passed and what it could become in the end times. Or, are we already there. This is the 4th novel in his end times series. This time it is from the perspective of a doctor fresh out of medical school and of the regulations and requirements of the new healthcare system. You will want to read this book!
