Exploring the term of 'Entrepreneurship" with multidimensional evaluations without digressing from explaining how it differs from one industry to other based on "prioritization of values." Within the framework there are several other significant key points, one of which is "innovation." The book elaborates on two core concepts of observations : Philosophy ( mindfulness, positive approaches and many more) and Business ( Teamwork, creativity, long- term values and more.)

The author has systematically explored the different facets of entrepreneurial life where one is not overwhelmed by the choices and decisions they make. Talking about mindfulness, the art of stillness and understanding the importance of regulating your thoughts and perspectives while also bridging the gaps of taking every work on yourself. That's where partnerships comes in focus. The initiation of ideas generation when provided space for exploration of creativity and ideas brings forward the ultimate upshot of long- term values. The book contains insights on ways in which individual as well as organizational growth go hand in hand. Building a momentum towards long- term values instead of short bursts of doubt clubbing this and that, often gives you a podium to put things into perspective.

I deliberately read this book little by little because these weren't just words to throw around randomly. The author has purposefully curated an unique opportunity for the readers to cultivate several understandings whether through examples or the personal anecdotes of individuals who have walked the path of doubts, uncertainties and hesitation only to come out more grounded and accepting the lessons learnt during the whole process.

If there's one book you need to pick for a perspective change then I highly recommend this one over others. I will surely read more books from Faisal Hoque as I am looking forward to learning and establishing a life that filled with self-awareness and contentment.

Here's another amazing book by Faisal Hoque! I found this revised edition to be quite timely! The pandemic has brought about a lot of change and transformation in the way things work and function in our society. Keeping that in mind, three new chapters have been added to this revised edition of Everything Connects.

One major change or shift that was observed during the pandemic was the work-from-home culture. There was a sudden rise in remote and alternative work arrangements. An entire chapter has been devoted to all the major and minor changes brought about by this new work arrangement.

My favorite chapter is the one that discusses the practice of mindfulness. It is the second new addition to this book. I found it to be quite helpful and practical. It goes beyond the meditation sessions and focuses on minute-by-minute living. The author has mentioned so many amazing tips to practice the art of mindfulness! I'm trying to inculcate a few of them in my life. ☺

Another new addition to this book is the chapter on resilience, which has been found to be one of the core values needed to sustain an organization or business. The author has mentioned many strategies and exercises that can help to bolster the capacity for resiliency.

This book has greatly focused on the importance of creative thinking in an organization! The core message of this book is that everything has a relationship to everything else, resulting in a powerful synergy. It has effectively illustrated how neuroscience, management theory, psychology, organizational theory, spirituality, and self-improvement are all interconnected. It has also mentioned a number of suggestions and strategies to bridge the gaps brought about by the pandemic. Overall, I found it to be super interesting and insightful!

3.5 ⭐️

This book is updated version of the first addition of the same title, “everything connects”. The book talks about life and business and how can we improve both. The wisdom this book consists is applicable on both walks of life.

On business part, author talks about topics like creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, importance of partnership building, management, deciding roles of every individual and idea generation. What makes it better is how author insists on a business that is people centric and has a futuristic approach. Post pandemic things have changed in business world so author tells readers about being relevant in the long term.

On life’s part, Faisal Hoque imparts wisdom on mindfulness, meditation techniques, decision making and resilience. Connection between both life and business is interwoven very beautifully.

Chapters on resilience, mindfulness and learnings from the life of Leonardo da Vinci are my favourite ones. Overall it’s a very value adding book. Those who are not into business may not like the major part of the book still the part that deals with life makes it worth a try.

'Everything Connects' gained my attention, as well as intellectual and emotional investment, especially through the writing - it was a meditative experience for me. Throughout reading this book I felt calm, grounded, which eased me into the reflection that Faisal Hoque invites us into.

The premise of this book is that innovation in a company acts a lot like a matryoshka doll, in layers. It starts with self-awareness, it moves to partnerships that foster collective development, and the same processes moving from the inter- and intrapersonal to these knowledge and understanding at a wider scales, to the ecosystem of a company and to that of an industry.

I wouldn't say that the idea here are revolutionary if you are familiar with techniques that foster self-exploration, like meditation or journaling, but their benefits and consequences are discussed in a sensitive, heartfelt manner that resonated with me, plus they were tied to real life examples of leaders who live these philosophies themselves. If anything, this book is a blend between philosophy and business, approaching this with examples such as the Yammer self-pollination, the Amazon long-term investment on a 7-year scale, with a deep understanding into the connection between the self and the impact on one's surroundings.

Another idea I thought was very thought-provoking was being an 'omnivore' in the way we select our experiences. Our thoughts and actions are all based on our personal history, our background, upbringing, experiences, joys and traumas. The most creative ideas come from a place of vulnerability fostered by safety, we are safe to explore our inner workings playfully, without judgement, and allow divergent experiences to coalesce into something new, never seen before.

I would highly recommend this read as an encouraging pat on the shoulder that will prompt you to let your mind drift more often.

Everything Connects: Cultivating Mindfulness, Creativity, and Innovation for Long-Term Value by Faisal Hoque adopts a holistic approach to the interconnectedness of the humanization of work. The author extrapolates upon organizational and management theory, neuroscience, psychology, spirituality and self-improvement. The book pushes readers to pay specific attention to self-actualization, according to the author, “by learning how to better frame conversations within ourselves, we can have more grounded conversations with our teams and our world."

Hoque differentiates between the processes of divergent and convergent thinking and the way persons should generate ideas and make logical conclusions. He then drives persons and organizations to resolve problems effectively and efficiently with a solid blueprint for success. While these concepts may be applied to business, the steps outlined are useful for personal life. The advice and knowledge imparted will impact readers holistically. Case studies are analyzed and these provide insight for further research.

Everything Connects reflects upon the Russian nesting dolls it is not difficult to leap to the run of the mill, personal development language - assessing what’s inside yourself, your personal values, exploring and unlocking your full potential, and all the personas we have as we interact with different people. The onion metaphor was elucidated and the idea that complicated things don’t get less complicated, rather, they get understood. The book has pertinent lessons and ideas which are easy to understand, thanks to the inclusion of rich metaphors, case studies and research. This book will cultivate interest among lifelong learners by helping them mature spiritually, offering new ways to reframe their thinking. Hoque characterizes his terms in direct language and broadens the definition of mindfulness, creativity and innovation permitting readers to promptly comprehend the jargon he presents.

The book talks about management and how to be more successful in life by improving their behaviour. It clearly shows a connection between business management and psychological behaviour and how that can achieve a higher level of success.

The book per se was astonishingly fluid to read. In the initial part of the book, the author explains the sections in the book and what you will understand and learn in each. Within each part of the book, I seemed to understand more and more about how to create added value in organisations and businesses, in the long term.

In this type of books, I love that they use examples, and relatable examples, as to compare the concepts the author has explained and how that applies to modern day. It can give you a more realistic perspective on how to achieve this goal where everything connects and for the best of everyone. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their personal and work-life, and how that will play out well in the future.

Everything Connects is the result of Fortune 100 corporate cross pollination for creativity and startup thinking for how to adapt with ease. This isn't just a short-term fix for the next fiscal quarter; it's how you thrive in the long haul.

Part philosophy, part business, and part history, this book is a colourful look at how humans have achieved greatness for themselves, their organisations, and the world at large by being able to think outside the box.

You'll benefit from the knowledge of nearly 2,500-year-old Eastern philosophies as well as Leonardo da Vinci's interrelated discoveries. Ultimately, down the line you will also realise how everything in life connects with each other, you just need to touch upon the right dots!

Post covid realisations hit so hard that we need to rewire and reframe the ways we approach how we work, play, and live. Connecting everything, even the relationships, work and life, is a powerful synergy to thrive.

“Everything Connects” attempts at changing the approach used in books about personal development and business. In this edition, author Faisal Hoque, explains that we shouldn’t think of companies having in mind only their sales department and their target clients. Companies and industries should be considered as an ecosystem where each and every part is essential to build the whole picture and where each part should perform their function to contribute to the development of the business as a whole. This is a cutting edge way of understanding and thinking about the world of businesses and finances.
This book helped me a lot in having into account aspects of my business. I had never thought about before. I could notice a great improvement by putting its advice into practice. I recommend it to all those who are interested in developing a business.

Everything Connects by Faisal Hoque and Drake Baer is an amazing book. Being a follower of the Maindfullnes approach myself, I have to recommend this book. Not only individuals who want to live to the fullest would consider this book of great value, but also those taking the first steps into a better life. The book is divided into four parts and contains thirteen chapters. Each chapter starts with an epigraph from philosophers. I particularly found every quote really interesting. And they perfectly frame the content of the chapter. I also enjoyed the writing style of the author, his points of view and his own life experiences presented along the pages. The topics that he develops and how he unveils each of them are fabulous. I give this work five starts for sure and will recommend it to my friends.

business success building

This is a great reading recommendation for anyone involved in the world of business, specifically in the world of dealing with customers and building a reputation for success. This one is a rather simple read but one that I think readers from all walks of life would be able to benefit from, especially with the way of the business world in the recent years. This guide will help readers to determine their own success by how much work and effort they are willing to put into the programs they develop. Sometimes it’s beneficial to take a moment to step back and line out our goals and expectations and this book offers the guidance and success steps to do just that while also keeping the focus on the endgame. Definitely a great read for small business owners and entrepreneurs alike.

Faisal Hoque is an accomplished entrepreneur, senior executive, and author who wrote a book called Everything Connects: Cultivating Mindfulness, Creativity, and Innovation for Long-Term Value. This book is meant to create a brand-new mindset for the readers. By showing them how to think outside the box with a bit of history, business, and philosophy.
Having to take a good look at yourself is never easy, but somehow Hoque creates a book, and also an environment of trust where you can unravel what needs to be solved or dealt with. It is a great book to take on for not only business but personal life as well. It is divided into four parts, where each topic is researched to the last word and where a lot of content is provided to understand how to implement it. It is a must on everyone’s reading list and I highly recommended it.

Everything Connects the second edition, written by Faisal Hoque is just like the first edition, but much better this time around. It still focuses around the holistic approach for an individual and "when" and "what" with who they are. It's a book with an aim to inspire people to lead inside and out of their organizations, and generate ideas with long-term value. It's a great book for anyone and everyone looking to move forward or even progress in their current position. It'll show you the thought process of Eastern Philosophies centuries old, mixing that with the techniques of fortune 100 companies today. The mixture allows for a great bundle of creativity to be cultivated and used to the readers advantage. A great read with lots of information to absorb and consume, well-written and very helpful.

Advance without losing humanity.

Everything Connects: Cultivating Mindfulness, Creativity, and Innovation for Long-Term Value is a great book written by Faisal Hoque with contributions from Drake Baer. Although the main subject of this is business, it also contains parts of philosophy and history. It is a guide that takes a broad look and takes into account all aspects of a business.
I think it is really interesting and can be helpful to business people. It sets out an innovative way to improve and advance personally, financially and professionally, since all aspects are related and affect each other. In a world where everything constantly changes, it is very difficult to find current information, and this book is just that. I recommend it.

Innovative and insightful.
This book binds together everything and anything that is to be associated with being successful and loving our chosen path. It is a business development tool but a self development tool as well. The author has given or referenced examples based on his own journey which some are relatable and others good ideas to look out for. This book helps or encourages us to embrace and value change, be open to it and learn how to maneuver and be flexible with it. I love how it is a mixture of everything just how life actually is, so this book does not just serve a single purpose but a multitude of masters. It's a great tool for learning and self development. I definitely recommend it.

An encouraging read

The second edition of “Everything Connects: Cultivating Mindfulness, Creativity, and Innovation for Long-Term Value” by Faisal Hoque, taught me how to connect with my inner self and how to lead not only at work but in my personal life, too.

Hoque’s words are convincing. He inspires me and motivates me to keep on working within myself. Getting to know our inner self definitely brings about changes in the world that surrounds us and creates an impact in our reality.

I believe this reader is perfect for those who need a clear vision of their present and perhaps want just a little push to go ahead in life. This book made me move forward and this is why I give it five stars!

Every man is part of the continent

Author Faisal Hoque releases the second edition of his best selling book Everything Connects. In this book, we get all of the first edition, the mindfulness, the innovative ideas of how everything and everyone is connected and how we can take that mindset into our lives not just professional, but also our personal. The second edition reflects on our changed world after the Covid pandemic and how this now affects the principles of the first book. I found this to be an interesting book. I havent read the first ones but I think this edition is a good comprehensive version. I havent considered a few of the authors ideas and they will certainly make me rethink how I approach some situations in my life. Great book.

Thank you, Goodreads, for the giveaway copy.

This was good, but didn't wow me. Admittedly, I'm well-trained and well-versed in mindfulness in the business world. So there was little new in this book for me to take from it. But, that doesn't mean I couldn't enjoy it if it were to be enjoyable. This was enjoyable enough to finish. I wish there had been more research and a variety of examples presented instead of just simply big business. Give me some real starter entrepreneurs who are still small or growing. And this read at times like an introduction to mindfulness and business. I was hopeful that this would discuss business, buy focus on the mindfulness-creativity paradigm more. Maybe delve into that two-pronged idea as a whole instead of being so Lazer focused on business that it felt a bit dry at times.

Overall, not bad. Happy I could read it, but ultimately not really my thing.

'Everything Connects' intricately explores organisational dynamics likening entities to matryoshka dolls—complex compositions of numerous contributors. The author delves into internal creative processes emphasising the need to comprehend individual intricacies for sustained collective creativity. The book champions a pro-social ethos, contending that businesses flourish when prioritising others' well-being with holistic and humanistic principles forming the foundation of exceptional work.In response to the pandemic-induced shift the narrative addresses the widespread adoption of remote work, stressing the importance of mindfulness in adapting to changes and highlighting its role in building resilience—a critical factor for organisational longevity.

This book is helpful, inspirational and a very easy read. I liked everything I've purchased of Faisal Hoque and this one is no exception.
The author does a wonderful job by explaining in a clear way how to generate ideas and the better options to unleash innovation in an organization.
I’ve to say that even though it’s a complicated issue, I was never bored reading this book. Another thing I enjoyed about it is the fact that I didn’t have the feeling like there were irrelevant details in its pages. The information included is complete but concise. The writing is very good; it’s a timely book and I learned useful things. This is the main reason why I recommend it.

Everything Connects: Cultivating Mindfulness, Creativity, and Innovation for Long-Term Value is the second edition of this must-read book written by Faisal Hoque in which the author gave me a lot to think about… it is a philosophical book but it also contains hints of history and business; a very good mixture.
As far as I know, this second edition is more complete and I am glad to have found it. The aim of this book is to help us succeed in the long run, not just in a particular area once. I liked the book and found the starting point of it to be really interesting.
The author’s ideas are clear and clever. I recommend it.
