Drinking with Cupid
Delaney is a HUGE Voila fan and has scored some tickets to their final show of the year. She never wins anything, but when she is able to successfully name three Voila singles, the tickets are hers! The show is an absolute dream, and she even meets a cute boy, Keiran. When the concert ends, she gets the chance to meet the band and present them with a small a queen of hearts in resin. She is so nervous, and Kieran keeps her loose by fetching her drinks while she waits in line.
Delaney and Kieran realize they have more in common then just their music taste, and after a steamy hook-up, she invites him to road trip down the California coast to deliver a family heirloom to her mother. But they are halfway there when Delaney realizes she gave the band the wrong box! The box she gave them had a pocket watch that belonged to her grandfather, and the card in resin is still in her possession.
Delaney and Kieran end up chasing the band all across the southwest US to try and retrieve the pocket watch. And in the meantime, they find adventure, true friendship, and the dangers of DRINKING WITH CUPID.

💕 A delightfully sweet story of adventure and missed chances. I loved that we got to go from one city to the next, exploring the landscape and seeing the places from someone else’s eyes. Or perhaps, visiting it for our first time.
The fact that they kept missing their chances to reconnect with the band, though expected, was a lot of fun. And this story was all about having fun. Each time they got close, something unexpected would happen. And I was all for it.
The relationship between Del and Kieran was equally sweet. Kindred spirits as you say. They connected as friends, with common interests. And it blossomed from there. It’s a low angst tale with a plot twist. Perfect for a warm summer’s day by the pool.
