This trilogy is everything you can expect from Debbie Macomber. It's three stories of boy meets girl, each with a slightly different focus but always a guaranteed happy marriage at the end. Always Dakota was by far my favorite as it explored the ideas of what it takes to stay married rather than what it takes to get married. However, by the third book the references to other characters were pretty flat - Lindsey Sinclair is always mentioned but not nearly as colorful a personality when her story is done being told. So it would be nice if the books didn't feel the need to name drop other characters from pervious books and focused more on the stories they are trying to tell, as the first and last chapters always end up feeling like a Buffalo Valley status report rather than part of the story.
