Marilyn Shank worked as a legal secretary, office manager, proofreader, and editor, before discovering her true passion: writing fiction. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, speaks fluent German, and often teaches writing workshops in public schools and libraries. When she’s not writing, Marilyn enjoys reading, amateur radio operation, and loves to travel with her husband John. Originally from Chicago, she now lives in Independence, Missouri.
I think I could count on one hand the number of "romance" books I've read. My interest tends more to history and crime. But since I know the author, I decided to read her first book. I only learned a few months ago that she is a published author. This is a sweet story and a fun read. I am in awe of anyone who would even try to write a book, and I'm proud of Marilyn for the seriousness with which she approaches her craft.
Cute story. Quick read. Nice characters. I have read about four of these books by Marilyn Shank in a row and I have enjoyed all of them. Definitely chick lit.
