Defending His Mate

Rate this book
Isabel knows that she isn’t supposed to help the Lycan Pack. But when she finds one of them near death in the middle of the road, she can’t just leave him there.

Enlisting the help of her friend to return Joshua to his people, she knows that the Fae are not welcome on Pack land. But with the promise to apologise to her friend if they do become ‘lunch’, the two Witches don’t have long to wait until they encounter Elijah, an Alpha with vengeance on his mind.

But it’s not only Elijah that Isabel has to worry about. The vampire that attacked Joshua is out for more blood and he quite likes the idea of tasting hers.

With the Witches already in trouble with the local Circle and the vampire out for blood, things couldn’t get much worse for Elijah and Joshua. Or could they?

Finding your mate isn’t always easy. Defending your mate can sometimes be deadly.

I have to admit i'm Biased. I'm a fan...
So having said that I think these books keep getting better and better.
The author always writes such strong characters and dialogue. The interaction between charcaters is always witty and challenging as they butt heads.
Loved Isabel and Elijah's characters and poor Cynthia had me in stitches.
Sexy, funny and page turning-ly good.
Another excellent read.

Loved the characters in this book. Even the back up charcaters are great.
Two for one romances in this book and neither couple are skimped on.
These books have great humour and i think the poeple who down rate them just don't have a sense of humour, because the comedy and sarcasm between the charcters is worth five stars alone.
Excellent read.

Very cute cozy shifter romance. He keeps putting his foot in his mouth and she keeps zapping him because she’s a witch.

another great read by this author!

finding a Lycan dying at the side of the road, Isabel knows she's asking for trouble when sahe takes him home to help him heal. i thought, that THIS Lycan would be the one for Isabel, but very quickly its made clear he isn't.
following a decades old problem, Fae aren't allowed on Lycan land, yet here are TWO, and they are being chased by a vampire.

i love that fact there are 2 mated stories in this book, and still, the story flows, with the lows and highs of Lycans and Fae magic and problems that all it entails!

witty humour, hot sex, and danger.....perfect story! would have had 5 stars if it was longer!

Another enjoyable read by Briers. Nothing complicated with one.
This is about Fae meets Lycan and coming to term being mates.
We get 2 mated stories in this book for the price of one.
The story flows with the lows and highs of Lycans and Fae magic and the problems that it all entails.
But don't worry there is a HEA in the end

Fantastic

This was an excellent story. I loved all the characters, but especially Isabelle's snarky sense of humor. I have read a lot of M L Briers stories, and think this is one of the best. The only downside is how it jumped from one setting to another. It was a little confusing at times. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
