Siren was taken by Dirk three years ago because he’d thought she was a Senser, shifters created by the Fates. She’s been his plaything in his Club Posh ever since, hoping that one day she’ll break free.
Xavier, leader of the Sensers, is in mating frenzy, and when he’s sees Siren, she has no hope of escape. When he finds out she’s human, hated by the Sensers for their treachery, things don’t go as he planned.
They’ll have to find a way through it if they ever want to be happy, and Siren just may be something more.
Writing professionally since 2008, LeTeisha Newton’s love of romance novels began long before it should have. After spending years sneaking reads from her grandmother’s stash, she finally decided to pen her own tales. As many will do during their youth, she bounced from fantasy, urban literature, mainstream, interracial, paranormal, heterosexual, and LGBT works until she finally rested in contemporary romance.
LeTeisha is all about deep angst and angry heroes who take a bit more loving to smooth their rough edges. Love comes in many sizes, shapes, and colors, as well as with—or without—absolute beauty and fairy tale sweetness. She writes the darker tales because life is hard … but love is harder.
Loved the protagonists Xavier and Siren. I would like to learn what happens to Leila and Oron. What a shame it was such a short story; there was plenty of opportunity for development. Too much time spent on background and building a fantasy world which did not really balance with the characters i.e. with a detailed 'world' the characters also deserved more of a story line. The ending was rushed. I really like LeTeisha Newton's books especially her 'Taken' series but this did not do her justice. It was as if she was on a tight deadline with time and word count. But it was worth a read!
I loved this book, although short you got everything, meaning great world building, you get a good look at the characters personalty's, a heroine that is in a soul shattering situation that comes out fighting,a bad guy you want to see hurt/dead and and alpha hero who is mellowed by his mate and hot love scenes.
